Eirias Stadium

Llety'r Dryw is a house in Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, Wales. It is a Grade II listed building. It was built in 1893 for John Eden (uncle of Anthony Eden) and designed by the Chester firm of architects, Douglas and Fordham. About 1960 it came into the possession of Denbighshire County Council and was used as the Fire Brigade Headquarters; then, in about 1990 it was taken over by the North Wales Police Authority. The house has been described as a "simple stone-built villa", which has been "inspired by 17th-century vernacular work of Northern England". The listing description says it is a "freely interpreted neo-vernacular house of considerable architectural quality".It is built in random rubble, with red sandstone dressings; it has a slate roof with a crest of red tiles, and brick chimneystacks with stone caps. It consists of a main range, with cross wings having coped and finialed gables, and a service extension behind. Much of the original joinery remains in the interior of the house.

Colwyn Bay Community Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Cymuned Bae Colwyn) is a community hospital in Colwyn Bay, Wales. It is managed by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Ysgol Eirias, (English: Eirias School) is a secondary school situated in Colwyn Bay, in Conwy county borough, North Wales. The school has approximately 1600 pupils and over 120 teachers and staff. The school’s name is derived from its location, the grounds of Eirias Park. The current headteacher is Zoe Evans, taking over from Sarah Sutton, who took over from Phil McTague in 2017.

Old Colwyn (Welsh: Hen Golwyn, formerly Colwyn bilingually) is a village just to the east of Colwyn Bay, in Conwy County Borough, Wales. Prior to local government reorganisation in April 1974 it was part of the Municipal Borough of Colwyn Bay, but the reorganisation established it as a separate community, whose population at the 2001 census was 7,626, increasing to 8,113 at the 2011 census. It hosted the National Eisteddfod in 1941. It also harbours the 3rd Colwyn Bay (Old Colwyn) Scout Group headquarters and is home to the area's comprehensive school, Ysgol Bryn Elian.

Ysgol Bryn Elian is an 11–18 English-medium co-educational comprehensive school on Windsor Drive in Old Colwyn. Along with Eirias High School and Coleg Llandrillo (which is sixth-form-level only) it serves the state secondary education sector in the Colwyn Bay area. The school has been in existence since the 1970s, when it was initially created as a secondary modern school to accept those unable to get into the town's grammar school, Eirias High School. In the mid-seventies, the Secretary of State for Education ordered both schools to become comprehensives.

Victoria Pier is a pier in the seaside resort of Colwyn Bay, Wales. The pier fell into disrepair and much of it was demolished, it was reopened in 2021 with a reduced length. Visitors can access the pier and see the bay along its length. Some of the original metalwork remains and retains the legal status of a grade-II listed structure. Designed by Mangnall and Littlewoods the pier opened in 1900 and was extended in 1903 to the length of 227m. The first two pavilions built on the pier were destroyed by fire along with a bijou theatre. The third pavilion was built in 1934 and was significantly extended and altered in the 1970s to allow for nightclub and amusement arcade entertainments. From the late 1980s, the pier began to decline with the seaward portion of the pier being closed due to a poor state of repair. The condition of the pier and the entertainments continued to decline until 2008 when it closed. In 2017, part of the pier collapsed onto the beach below. Much of the pier was demolished and then in 2021, reopened without any pavilions or structures.

Colwyn Bay (Welsh: Bae Colwyn) is a town, community and seaside resort in Conwy County Borough on the north coast of Wales overlooking the Irish Sea. It lies within the historic county of Denbighshire. Eight neighbouring communities are incorporated within its postal district. Established as its own separate parish in 1844 with just a small grouping of homes and farms where the community of Old Colwyn stands today, Colwyn Bay has expanded to become the second-largest community and business centre in the north of Wales as well as the 14th largest in the whole of Wales with the urban statistical area, including Old Colwyn, Rhos-on-Sea, and Mochdre and Penrhyn Bay, having a population of 34,284 at the 2011 census.

Colwyn Bay railway station (Welsh: Bae Colwyn) is on the Crewe to Holyhead North Wales Coast Line serving the seaside town of Colwyn Bay in North Wales.

St Paul's Church, Colwyn Bay is an active Anglican parish church in the town of Colwyn Bay, Wales. It is located in the deanery of Rhos, the archdeaconry of St Asaph, and the Diocese of St Asaph. The church is designated by Cadw as a Grade II* listed building.

St David's Welsh Church, Colwyn Bay (Eglwys Dewi Sant) is in Rhiw Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy County Borough, Wales. It is an Anglican church in the parish of Colwyn Bay with Bryn-Y-Maen, the deanery of Rhos, the archdeaconry of St Asaph, and the diocese of St Asaph. The church is situated behind St Paul's Church and is a Grade II listed building.St David's Church was built in 1902–03 and designed by the Chester firm of architects Douglas and Minshull. It is a small church with an apsidal sanctuary. The west window is Perpendicular in style. Rising from the roof is a square bellcote with a pyramidal roof on which is an octagonal spirelet. Internally, the screen was made by a local blacksmith, David Jones.As its name suggests, the services held in the church are in Welsh.

St John's Church, Old Colwyn, is on Station Road, Old Colwyn, in Conwy County Borough, Wales. It is a member church of the Aled Mission Area, in the archdeaconry of St Asaph and the diocese of St Asaph. St John's was built as the daughter church of St Catherine's Church, Abergele Road, Colwyn. It is designated by Cadw as a Grade II* listed building.

Llanelian Road (Welsh: Ffordd Llanelian) is a multi-use stadium in Old Colwyn, North Wales and also known as the 4 Crosses Construction Arena for sponsorship purposes. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Colwyn Bay F.C. of the Cymru North. The floodlit stadium holds 3,000 people (with covered seating for 1,850 spectators) and was built in 1984 on part of the Parciau farm estate after the club moved from their former home in Eirias Park due to the building of the A55 dual carriageway through Colwyn Bay. Colwyn Bay won their first game at Llanelian Road, beating Lytham 1–0 in an FA Cup preliminary round tie in September 1984.A shelter was erected at the town end of the ground in 1985 and is more commonly known as the Shed End. Two further covered stands were erected by the end of the decade. Floodlights were first installed at the ground in 1990 and were first switched on for a friendly match against Liverpool. The grass bank on the Llanelian Road side of the ground was terraced during the summer of 1998 following a successful fundraising appeal by the club's Supporters Club. Colwyn Bay were forced to play away from Llanelian Road for two seasons after the club refused to join the newly formed League of Wales in 1992. The club played for a season in Northwich and a further season at Ellesmere Port Stadium in Ellesmere Port. Colwyn Bay YMCA were formed in 1992 and played at Llanelian Road during the club's time in exile. The club returned to Llanelian Road when they and fellow exiles Newport County and Caernarfon Town secured a High Court injunction in the summer of 1994. A crowd of over 1,600 saw Bay's first competitive match in two years at Llanelian Road, a 1–0 defeat to Marine in the Northern Premier League Premier Division. During Colwyn Bay's period in exile Colwyn Bay YMCA was formed and played at Llanelian Road between 1992 and 2000. Llanelian Road hosted two games in the 2008 semi-professional Four Nations Tournament with England facing Gibraltar and Scotland Semi-Pro during May of that year. Over 2,000 fans were in attendance when Colwyn Bay F.C. beat FC United 1–0 in the 2010–11 season Northern Premier League Premier Division final to earn promotion to the Conference North.The club's promotion to the Conference North in 2011 also resulted in the club having to make improvements or face relegation. The club were linked with a return to Eirias Stadium because of Conference ground regulations and then manager Dave Challinor was impressed with the facilities but the club remained at Llanelian Road. Major changes saw a new covered stand built over the Llanelian Road terrace, seating 500 and including press facilities and hospitality boxes with new floodlights erected. In September 2022 the club submitted plans for a new 1.000 seater stand to replace two covered terraced stands on the west side of the ground as well as additional parking. Permission was granted by Conwy County Borough Council in October 2022. Work on the new stand commenced in January 2023. Colwyn Bay F.C. previously played on three different grounds at Eirias Park during their history. The first pitch in the park was located on land that his now occupied by Eirias High School and later they moved to a pitch where they remained until the early 1980s, when the land was required to dump soil following construction of the A55. The Arena was a temporary home during the early 1980s prior to the club's move to Llanelian Road in 1984. Under a current sponsorship deal the ground is also known as the 4 Crosses Arena and was also previously known as The Red Lion Foods Stadium.
