Lake Ralphine is a reservoir in Howarth Memorial Park in the city of Santa Rosa, in the U.S. state of California.

The Southeast Greenway is an urban park on the eastern edge of Santa Rosa, California. Beginning in the 1950s, land was purchased by the California Department of Transportation to build a freeway alignment for California State Route 12 through eastern Santa Rosa. As local awareness of climate change shifted priorities toward active transportation alternatives, the city purchased the land to build a 2-mile (3.2 km) pedestrian and bicycle path from the eastern end of the route 12 freeway to Spring Lake Regional Park. Land adjacent to this active transportation corridor will be used for water supply and utility infrastructure with space for community gardens, dog parks, disc golf, sports courts, fields, and playgrounds.

Santa Rosa Creek Reservoir is a reservoir in Spring Lake Regional Park in the city of Santa Rosa, California, USA. It is impounded by an earthen dam built in 1963 (1963) and owned by the Sonoma County Water Agency.

Brush Creek or Rincon Creek is a tributary of Santa Rosa Creek in Sonoma County, California. Brush Creek rises in the southern slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains within Sonoma County. The lower reach of the creek is a suburban medium density residential area in the city of Santa Rosa, and that reach of Brush Creek has been restored during the 1990s under a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant to promote steelhead migration and spawning. Further restoration and incorporation into citywide park planning is currently underway as of 2006. The location of the confluence with Santa Rosa Creek is particularly noteworthy, since it was a locus of prehistoric life as a village of the Pomo people and a scenic geologic feature of massive flat boulder outcrops within the stream channel. Brush Creek is a watercourse of approximately three miles in length that drains the area known as Rincon Valley in north Santa Rosa and the outlying unincorporated areas. The stream is shown on U.S. Geological Survey topographic maps as Rincon Creek. On current maps, Rincon Creek is a tributary that forms a confluence with Brush Creek approximately four kilometers upstream from the mouth of Brush Creek (near Montecito Boulevard). Thus today's nomenclature makes Rincon Creek essentially the west fork of upper Brush Creek.

Spring Lake Regional Park is a 320-acre (130 ha) public park in southeastern Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California, United States. Centered on the Santa Rosa Creek Reservoir, the park is administered by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Department. Its coordinates are 38.45°N 122.65°W / 38.45; -122.65, and its official address is 391 Violetti Drive.

Montgomery High School is a public high school located in Santa Rosa, California. It is part of the Santa Rosa High School District, which is itself part of Santa Rosa City Schools. Montgomery High School was named after Bill Montgomery. Montgomery is considered the first person from the city of Santa Rosa to have died in World War II. William "Billy" Montgomery was killed at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, while serving aboard the battleship USS California. Montgomery participates in the International Baccalaureate Organization as an IB World School, providing the IB Diploma Programme as well as the full complement of classes available to juniors and seniors. Montgomery High School has been an IB World School since July 1995.On March 1st 2023, a 16 year-old student was stabbed to death by another student on the school’s campus.

Cathedral of Saint Eugene is a cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. It is the mother church and seat of the diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Santa Rosa in California. It is located in the City of Santa Rosa. The parish was founded in 1950 and it became a cathedral when the Diocese of Santa Rosa was established by Pope John XXIII on January 13, 1962. The cathedral was named for the 7th century Pope Eugene I.

Flamingo Resort & Spa is a historic mid-century modern hotel in Santa Rosa, California, opened in 1957. Designed by architect Homer A. Rissman, the property is noted for a wheel-and-spoke site plan with guestroom wings arranged around a central S-shaped pool courtyard—an expression of post-war resort planning in Northern California. Developed by Hugh Codding’s Garden Hotels Company, the resort quickly served as a social hub for Sonoma County, hosting civic galas, dinner-theater productions, and other large public events in the late 1950s and 1960s.

Maria Carrillo High School is a public high school in Santa Rosa, California, United States. It is managed by the Santa Rosa City Schools district. It opened in 1996 and is in Santa Rosa's Rincon Valley neighborhood.

At 04:56 and 06:19 UTC on October 2, 1969 (21:56 and 23:19 PDT October 1), a pair of earthquakes of magnitude 5.6 and 5.7, respectively, struck the city of Santa Rosa, California, killing one person and damaging buildings. The maximum felt intensity for the two events was VII (Very strong) and VIII (Severe) respectively on the Mercalli intensity scale. The $8.35 million cost of the earthquakes went mostly to replace buildings damaged beyond repair. There were at least 200 aftershocks after the initial pair of earthquakes. At the time they were the largest earthquakes to affect the northern San Francisco Bay Area since the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

KZST (100.1 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Santa Rosa, California, and serving Sonoma County. It is owned by Lawrence V. Amaturo, through licensee Amaturo Sonoma Media Group, LLC, and broadcasts an adult contemporary radio format, switching to Christmas music for much of November and December. Evenings, it carries the nationally syndicated Delilah call in and request show. KZST's radio studios and offices are on Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa.KZST has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts. The transmitter is off Mount Bennett Drive in Santa Rosa. The station has two booster stations also broadcasting on 100.1 MHz: KZST-1, 46 watts, is in Petaluma. And 1,200 watt KZST-2 is in Rohnert Park.

KJZY (93.7 MHz, "Jazzy 93.7") is an FM radio station in licensed to Sebastopol, California. It broadcasts to the Sonoma Valley. Owned by Redwood Empire Stereocasters, it broadcasts an adult standards format. Its studios are co-located with its sister stations on Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa. A 1,200-watt booster transmitter operates on 93.7 FM in Rohnert Park, California, with the call sign KJZY-FM1. KJZY broadcasts in the HD Radio format. Its HD2 subchannel airs a classic country format known as "99.1 The Bull".
