Panorama City, Los Angeles

Panorama Mall is a mall in Panorama City, San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, California. It is an enclosed mall anchored by two large discount stores, Walmart and Curacao, aimed primarily at an Hispanic customer base. The mall originally opened as the open-air Broadway–Valley shopping center in 1955. Similar to what happened with nearby Valley Plaza, after opening, additional department stores and retail strips opened on the edges of the Broadway center, and during the 1960s the merchants' association of the various owners marketed its retail properties collectively as the Panorama City Shopping Center. In 1964 it claimed to be the first center with four major department stores. Panorama Mall was renovated and enclosed in 1980.

Roscoe is a planned light rail and bus rapid transit station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. The station is part of the East San Fernando Light Rail Project and is planned to open in 2028 It is located on Van Nuys Boulevard at the intersection with Roscoe Boulevard in the Panorama City neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Panorama Senior High School is a public high school located on Van Nuys Boulevard in the Panorama City district of Los Angeles, California, United States. Designed by architect DLR Group WWCOT, Panorama High School opened in 2006 to students in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. The school is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school serves the Panorama City, Arleta and Van Nuys sections of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. Panorama High School's mascot is a python and the school colors are gold and black.

Nordhoff is a planned light rail station on the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. The station is part of the East San Fernando Light Rail Project and planned to open in 2028. It is located on Van Nuys Boulevard at the intersection with Nordhoff Street in the Panorama neighborhood of Los Angeles. The station features a single island platform in the median strip on the north leg of Van Nuys.

St. Genevieve High School is a private Roman Catholic high school in Panorama City, Los Angeles, California. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. In 2003, St. Genevieve High School was recognized as a National School of Character by the Character Education Partnership.

Van Nuys station is an Amtrak and Metrolink train station in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The station is served by eleven weekday round trips on the Metrolink Ventura County Line, five daily round trips of the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner, and one daily round trip of the Amtrak Coast Starlight. The station when opened the first time in 1982 was called Panorama City, and was served by the short-lived CalTrain service in 1982–83. In 1988, service was restored with the Amtrak San Diegan with the station renamed as Van Nuys, and Metrolink service began in 1992.

Montclair College Preparatory School, also commonly known as "Montclair Prep", was a school located in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California, near Panorama City. The school taught grades 6 through 12, and later grades 9-12 only.

It is located on Van Nuys Boulevard at the intersection with Woodman Boulevard in the Arleta neighborhood of Los Angeles. The station features a single island platform in the median strip on the northeast leg of the crossroads.

Sound City Studios is a recording studio in Los Angeles, California, known as one of the most successful in popular music. The complex opened in 1969 in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles. The facility had previously been a production factory of the English musical instrument manufacturer Vox. Throughout the late twentieth century, the studio became known for its signature sound, especially in recording drums and live performances of rock bands. Dozens of rock artists spanning five decades have recorded at Sound City, including Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bob Dylan, Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Slayer, Rage Against the Machine, Death Cab for Cutie, and Fall Out Boy. Over one-hundred albums recorded at Sound City have achieved gold and platinum certifications.The studio leased time for public use until 2011; in 2011 the owners closed the studio and much of the equipment was sold off. From 2011 to 2016, the studio was leased by Fairfax Recordings, who used it as their own exclusive in-house studio. In 2017 the studio was re-opened for public use and has continued to host artists in the years since. The complex was the focus of the documentary Sound City (2013), directed by musician Dave Grohl. Grohl purchased some of the equipment sold in 2011, including the rare Neve Electronics 8028 mixing console that has been credited with creating the "Sound City sound"; it has since been re-installed at Grohl's Studio 606.

The Church On The Way (The First Foursquare Church of Van Nuys) is a Foursquare church in Van Nuys, California, led by Senior Pastor, Tim Clark. It is one of a handful of flagship churches in the Foursquare denomination. The church was formerly pastored by Jack Hayford and was widely influential in the Charismatic Movement in the 1970s through the 1990s, with services regularly televised on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and aired on its own local radio station. The church is related to several other churches of a similar name in Southern California, including La Iglesia En El Camino in Van Nuys, California and The Church On The Way, Santa Clarita in Santa Clarita, California. The Hollywood Cross, a landmark in Hollywood, California, is owned by the church.

The San Fernando Valley, known locally as the Valley, is an urbanized valley in Los Angeles County, California. Located just north of the Los Angeles Basin, it contains a large portion of the City of Los Angeles, as well as unincorporated areas and the incorporated cities of Burbank, Calabasas, Glendale, Hidden Hills, and San Fernando. The valley is well known for its iconic film studios such as Warner Bros. Studio and Walt Disney Studios. In addition, it is home to the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. More recently, statewide droughts in California have further strained the San Fernando Valley’s and Los Angeles County’s water security.
