Windsor is a small historic unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Robbinsville Township (known as Washington Township until 2007) in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08561. As of the 2020 United States census, the CDP's population was 330, an increase of 104 (+46.0%) above the 226 counted at the 2010 census. The community, covering 570 acres (230 ha), was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Windsor was a township (1751–1797) in early Middlesex County, in an area that is now within Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. Windsor Township was formed by Royal Charter on March 9, 1751, from portions of Piscataway Township. Both East Windsor Township and West Windsor Township were formed when Windsor Township was divided on February 9, 1797. The township was named after Windsor, England.

Robbinsville Township is a township in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Located at the cross-roads between the Delaware Valley region to the southwest and the Raritan Valley region to the northeast, the township is considered part of the New York Metropolitan area as defined by the United States Census Bureau, but directly borders the Philadelphia metropolitan area and is part of the Federal Communications Commission's Philadelphia Designated Market Area. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 15,476, its highest decennial count ever and an increase of 1,834 (+13.4%) from the 13,642 recorded at the 2010 census, which in turn reflected an increase of 3,367 (+32.8%) from the 10,275 counted in the 2000 census. The township is named for George R. Robbins, who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1855 to 1859 and lived in the area. Inspired by its central geographical location within New Jersey, Robbinsville's motto is Be at the Center of it All.What is now Robbinsville Township was originally incorporated as Washington Township (named for George Washington) by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 15, 1859, from portions of East Windsor Township. On November 6, 2007, voters approved by a vote of 1,816 to 693 a measure that changed the township's name from Washington Township (the name of five other municipalities in New Jersey) to Robbinsville, named after a settlement within the township. The official changeover took place January 1, 2008, as signs and other items with "Washington" on them began to be changed.Robbinsville Township is known for reaching the Little League Softball World Series in four of the seven years from 2008 to 2014, the only program in the nation to do so. The team won the championship in 2014 with a 22–0 postseason record and a 4–1 win against Bossier City, Louisiana in the tournament final. the team was featured in a story by ESPNw as a perennial softball powerhouse.

Edinburg, also known as Edinburgh, is an unincorporated community located within West Windsor in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community is located at the junction of Old Trenton Road (County Routes 526 and 535), Edinburg Road (CR 526), and Windsor Road (CR 641). In October 2019, the Historical Society of West Windsor published an online museum exploring the history of West Windsor- including that of Edinburg.

Robbinsville High School is a comprehensive community public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from Robbinsville Township, in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as the lone secondary school of the Robbinsville Public School District. The school is accredited by the New Jersey Department of Education.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,085 students and 82.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.2:1. There were 30 students (2.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 10 (0.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

A new high school was established in the district, which started admitting its first students in 2004-05 as part of ending a sending/receiving relationship with the Lawrence Township Public Schools under which students had attended Lawrence High School. Working Dog Winery is a winery located on the border of Robbinsville Township and East Windsor in Mercer County, New Jersey. The vineyard was first planted in 2001 and opened to the public in 2003. The winery was originally known as "Silver Decoy Winery," but the name was changed in 2013. Working Dog has 17 acres of grapes under cultivation and produces 4,000 cases of wine per year.

East Windsor is a township in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Since East Windsor is situated at the confluence of several major highways that serve both the major cities of New York City and Philadelphia, and even the local commercial hubs of nearby Freehold, Princeton, and the state capital of Trenton, the community has been a longtime residential, commercial, and industrial hub in the heart of Central New Jersey.As of the 2020 United States census, East Windsor's population was 30,045, its highest decennial count ever and an increase of 2,855 (+10.5%) from the 27,190 recorded at the 2010 census, which in turn reflected an increase of 2,271 (+9.1%) from the 24,919 counted in the 2000 census.Both East Windsor and West Windsor were formed when Windsor Township was split on February 9, 1797, while the area was still part of Middlesex County. It was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798, as one of New Jersey's initial group of 104 townships. Portions of the township were taken to form Hightstown borough (March 5, 1853, within East Windsor; became independent c. 1894) and Washington Township (March 11, 1860, and known as Robbinsville Township since 2007). The township was named for Windsor Township, which was named for Windsor, England.

The "Hightstown" rail accident occurred on the Camden and Amboy Railroad between Hightstown, New Jersey and Spotswood on November 8, 1833, just two months after horses were replaced by steam locomotives on the line. It is the earliest recorded train accident involving the death of passengers in America.The train had been travelling from South Amboy to Bordentown at a speed of 35 mph (56 km/h), when despite having stopped "to oil the wheels" and slowing to 20 mph (32 km/h), a journal box overheated (a condition known as hot box) and caught fire, causing an axle to break on one of the carriages, derailing and overturning it. All but one of the 24 passengers it carried were injured; one was killed outright and another died later from his injuries. Among the injured was Cornelius Vanderbilt, who broke a leg and vowed never to travel by train again, although he later broke his vow and eventually became a railway magnate, owning the New York Central Railroad, among others. Another passenger was Congressman and former US President John Quincy Adams, who escaped injury, but described the accident in his diary as "the most dreadful catastrophe that ever my eyes beheld". Irish actor Tyrone Power was also aboard the train and recorded the accident in his two-volume journal Impressions of America.

Dutch Neck is an unincorporated community located within West Windsor Township in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community is centered about the intersection of Village Road and South Mill Road and has in the vicinity numerous churches, West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, Dutch Neck Elementary School, and many residences. The community was founded by the Voorhees and Bergen families c. 1737.In October 2019, the Historical Society of West Windsor published an online museum exploring the history of West Windsor, including that of Dutch Neck.

Trenton–Robbinsville Airport (FAA LID: N87) is a privately owned, public use airport a mile east of Robbinsville, in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a general aviation reliever airport.The airport is next to Miry Run Golf Course on Sharon Road just off Route 130. Trenton–Robbinsville Airport offers gas, lessons, rental planes, and hangars for private planes. Cutting Edge Aviation and Aviation Charters, at the west end of the field, offers full service aircraft maintenance. The airport is improving safety issues. Work geared towards that goal started in October 2011 and was expected to finish in June 2012.
