Thuin (French pronunciation: [tɥɛ̃] or [twɛ̃]; Walloon: Twin) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. The municipality consists of the following districts: Biercée, Biesme-sous-Thuin, Donstiennes, Gozée, Leers-et-Fosteau, Ragnies, Thuillies, and Thuin (including the hamlets of Hourpes and Maladrie. Thuin is the headquarters of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (International Canine Association).

The ASVi is a tramway museum in Thuin in Belgium, which specialises in the history of the Belgian narrow gauge Vicinal system. The museum includes an operating museum tram line which runs from Thuin to Lobbes. The metre gauge historic tram line is made of two sections : a part of the former vicinal tramway line Thuin - Anderlues (lines 91 and 92). This line was part of the famous and extensive Belgian vicinal tramway network which once covered the whole country ; a part of the SNCB normal gauge line (line 109 Mons - Chimay) which was converted to metric gauge and equipped with an overhead line for power supply.

The Belfry of Thuin (French: Beffroi de Thuin) is a historic building in Thuin, Belgium. Although historically attached to a church, the bell tower has also become a municipal tower, the only belfry of the Principality of Liège. It is one of 56 belfries of Belgium and France that are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, in recognition of their civic architecture and importance in the rise of municipal power in Europe.

Lobbes Abbey (French: Abbaye de Lobbes) was a Benedictine monastery in the municipality of Lobbes, Hainaut, Belgium. The abbey played an important role in the religious, political and religious life of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, especially around the year 1000. The abbey's founding saint is Saint Landelin; four other saints are also connected with the abbey.

Lobbes (French pronunciation: [lɔb] ; Walloon: Lôbe) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 Lobbes had a total population of 5,499. The total area is 32.08 km² which gives a population density of 171 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Bienne-lez-Happart, Lobbes, Mont-Sainte-Geneviève, and Sars-la-Buissière. The town grew up round Lobbes Abbey, a religious house established here in about 650. The tramway of the ASVi runs through Lobbes.

Hourpes is a hamlet of Wallonia in the municipality and district of Thuin, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium.It is situated near the river Sambre about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north east of Thuin. It is about 121 metres (397 ft) above sea level, and has its own railway station (Gare de Hourpes), which it is located about 500 metres (550 yd) outside the hamlet. A notable building in the hamlet is the Château de Hourpes built about 1887, it was purchased and renovated in the 21st century allegedly using money from a Value Added Tax (VAT) fraud.

Mont-Sainte-Geneviève (Walloon: Mont-Sinte-Djenvire) is a village of Wallonia and a district in the municipality of Lobbes, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium.

Bienne-lez-Happart (Walloon: Biene) is a village of Wallonia and a district in the municipality of Lobbes, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium.

Anderlues (French pronunciation: [ɑ̃dɛʁly]; Walloon: Anderluwe; Picard: Andérluve) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 Anderlues had a total population of 11,578. The total area is 17.02 square kilometres (6.57 sq mi) which gives a population density of 680 inhabitants per square kilometre. Its postcode is 6150. On 1 December 1983 a local jewellery store was robbed by the Brabant killers. Some low-value jewels were stolen and two people were killed in what was the gang's last robbery before going silent for one year.

Aulne Abbey (French: Abbaye d'Aulne) was a Cistercian monastery located between Thuin and Landelies on the river Sambre in the Bishopric of Liège, Belgium. It is now a Walloon Heritage Site.

Pétria is a Charleroi Metro station, located in Fontaine-l'Évêque, in fare zone 7. It is a surface station featuring a central platform with street access at its eastern end. When the future line 3 opens, Pétria will become the terminus of line 2. Pétria is the last Pre-metro type station on the Anderlues line, as the line becomes a standard tram line west of the station (toward Anderlues).

Leernes (Walloon: Liene-e-Hinnot) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Fontaine-l'Évêque, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium.
