Lisbjerg is a village and suburb 7 km north of the city center of Aarhus, Denmark. Lisbjerg has a population of 1,352 (1 January 2023).Lisbjerg is situated on the northern slopes of the broad and flat valley of Egådalen, marking the northern limits of Aarhus. The village is cut through by the expressway of Randersvej, connecting the cities of Aarhus and Randers. East and northeast of the village lies the forest of Lisbjerg Skov and immediately north are the large camping grounds of Aarhus Camping and a large authentic Japanese garden. Lisbjerg Forbrændingen is an important incineration plant and hazardous waste treatment facility and works as a landmark for this area. Lisbjerg is an old settlement and boasts a 12th-century church, one of the oldest in Denmark, but there are also new residential quarters here and a large new residential area is under construction west of the old village center. The new quarter, known as Lisbjerg Bakke (Lisbjerg Hill), is built to accommodate 20-25,000 new residents when it is finished. Several houses, apartments and a school have already been built as of 2015 and in 2017, Aarhus light rail is intended to have its end station here.The old village church originally housed a Romanesque golden altar. The altar was removed from the church in 1867 and is now on display at the National Museum of Denmark. Since 1989, Moesgaard Museum has been carrying out archaeological excavations around Lisbjerg church. They have found traces of an important late Viking Age farmstead in this area, possibly indicating continuity between the centers of importance before and after the introduction of Christianity in Denmark. Egådalen was once a brackish water fjord and the slopes of the valley have been populated since the earliest Stone Age.

Lisbjerg Power Station (Danish: Lisbjerg Forbrændingen) also known as Affaldscenter and Biomassefyret Kraftvarmeværk A/S is a combined heat and power plant in Lisbjerg, Denmark. The power plant is composed of two units; a waste-to-power incinerator and a biomass plant. The official address is Ølstedvej 20-36, 8200 Aarhus N and it is managed by AffaldVarme Aarhus as a part of the Teknik og Miljø (Technology and Environment) magistrate of Aarhus Municipality. The biomass facility supplies district heating to 20% of homes in Aarhus Municipality and it is one of the largest of its kind in Denmark.

Skejby Church (Danish: Skejby Kirke) is a church in Skejby Parish in Aarhus, Denmark. The parish lies in Aarhus N three kilometers north-west of Aarhus city centre on the outskirts of the urban area. The parish has 816 inhabitants of which 655 are members of the Church of Denmark.

Aarhus University Hospital (AUH) is a university hospital located in Aarhus, Denmark. The hospital develops and provides highly specialised medical treatment, research and education at an international level. The university hospital's headquarters and main department, known as The New University Hospital (DNU), is the largest single hospital in Denmark and one of the largest in Europe. Aarhus University Hospital is the local hospital for citizens in Aarhus and the island of Samsø, but also offers specialised treatments to the citizens of the Central Denmark Region and other regions in Denmark. It has been ranked the best hospital in Denmark consecutively since 2008.

Skejby Sygehus or Aarhus University Hospital, Skejby, was a university hospital in Aarhus, Denmark from 1988 to 2018. In 2011, Skejby Sygehus became part of Aarhus University Hospital. In 2012, construction of "Det Nye Universitetshospital" (The New University Hospital), or DNU for short, a new large headquarter complex for Aarhus University Hospital, commenced. The new hospital complex is situated adjacent to Skejby Sygehus, and at the completion, Skejby Sygehus was fused with DNU in late 2018.

Skejby is a neighbourhood and former village in Aarhus, Denmark. The neighbourhood is part of the city district Aarhus N. The Skejby village was originally situated in the countryside north of Aarhus, overlooking the broad flat Egå Valley, but urban development has engulfed it, creating a new suburban neighbourhood by the same name. The old village is still distinctly visible, surrounding the old white village church. Archaeological excavations have revealed, that Skejby has been settled since the early Iron Ages (c. 500 BC), but finds from the Stone Age has also been unearthed. Søften and Lisbjerg north of Skejby, are important archaeological sites.

Vestereng is a nature site in the environs of northern Aarhus and the suburb of Skejby. The name literally translates as 'westward meadow'. The Municipality of Aarhus took ownership in 1939.The area has a lively history of recent times and is now used extensively by several civil groups and organizations. The most prevalent groups as of 2013, being Aarhus Beach Volley Club, the roleplaying club Einherjerne, Aarhus Dirt Jump Park and Aarhus civil dog handling Association.

Ølsted is a small village in Aarhus Municipality, near the east coast of the Central Denmark Region, Denmark. It is located in a rural setting, 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of the town of Trige – near enough that they share a Trige-Ølsted Joint Council.Ølsted is 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) east of the town of Søften, and 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of the city of Aarhus. Ølsted consists of a number of older houses and several farms, though its proximity to Aarhus has attracted some commuters, with the Trige-Ølsted Joint Council noting in 2020 that "in recent years more detached houses have been added."The village has Ølsted Church. Students from Ølsted, up to grade 9, attend Bakkegårdsskolen in Trige.The town has a common postal district (8380) with Trige and Spørring. There may have been a manor house in the village during the 14th century, as Jens Peter Trap, in his seminal Statistical-Topographical Description of the Kingdom of Denmark (1904, 3rd edition, if not earlier editions), includes "Johannes Pedersen of Ølsted is mentioned in 1356".

Mollerup Skov (Mollerup Forest) is a 97 hectare relatively new forest situated in the northern outskirts of the city of Aarhus, Denmark. In the neighbourhood of Vejlby and Skejby between Skejbyvej, Langengevej and Skejby Nordlandsvej to be precise. Mollerup Skov is part of the New Forests of Aarhus.

Nye is a developing and upcoming satellite town to Aarhus located in Elev Parish and in Aarhus Municipality under the Central Denmark Region. The town is situated 10 kilometers from the center of Aarhus and extends northward from the village of Elev and two kilometers eastward from Lystrup. Nye houses Nye light rail station, which connects the city with Aarhus, Djursland, and surrounding towns. Nye is a city development project where the first phase is under construction. The first phase consists of approximately 650 homes, institutions, and grocery stores. Construction began in 2016, while the first residents moved in in 2018.When Nye is fully developed, the district will house up to 15,000-17,000 inhabitants and stretch to Egå Engsø and Djurslandsmotorvejen to the south, which connects with E45.The development of Nye takes place in collaboration between Aarhus Municipality, Aarhus Vand, and Tækker Group.In 2022, Nye was awarded the City Planning Prize for visionary and nature-based urban development.

Marienlyst Park (Danish: Marienlystparken) is a public park in Hasle in the Aarhus V district, north-west Aarhus, Denmark. The park is situated west of the Herredsvang neighborhood along the street Fjældevænget Busvej to the south and Brendstrup Forest to the west. Marienlyst Park is one of the largest parks in Aarhus and features both landscaped lawns and artificial forested hills. Facilities include an amphitheatre, soccer fields, playgrounds and a 6-hole golf course. Marienlyst Park was established in connection with the development of western Hasle in the 1970s and today forms part of a green corridor extending from Vestereng to Brabrand Lake. The park is owned by Aarhus Municipality and is managed by the municipal department Natur og Miljø (Nature and Environment). Marienlyst Park can be rented for public events.The largest areas in Marienlyst Park are landscaped and managed, such as grass lawns and soccer fields, but there are some areas intentionally left to grow wilder. Artificial hills have been created from surplus soil from construction projects and are now left to grow as small managed forests. The park includes two marked running tracks of 1500 and 3000 meters. In addition Marienlyst Golf Club maintains a 6-hole short-golf course, accessible through an introductory course in the club.
