The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG, Centre de Regulació Genòmica in Catalan) is a biomedical and genomics research centre based on Barcelona. Most of its facilities and laboratories are located in the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park, in front of Somorrostro beach. Since July 2015 CNAG (the National Centre for Genomic Analysis), located in the Parc Científic de Barcelona (close to Camp Nou), became an outstation of CRG.

The Barcelona Biomedical Research Park ("PRBB") is an agglomeration of six public research centres and is located alongside the Hospital del Mar de Barcelona. The PRBB is the product of an initiative launched by the Government of Catalonia, the City Council of Barcelona and the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), which aims to promote research and collaboration between closely related fields. Each centre works independently in its own field and a management group, the PRBB Consortium, is responsible for managing the building and facilities, in addition to coordinating joint scientific research activities among the various centres. About 1,400 people are employed in the PRBB, making it one of the largest biomedical research clusters in the south of Europe. The centre was opened in May 2006. The PRBB building was designed by the architects Manuel Brullet i Tenas and Albert de Pineda i Àlvarez.

Torre Mapfre is a skyscraper in the Port Olímpic (Olympic Port), the maritime neighborhood of the Old City of Barcelona in Spain. It is named after its owner, Mapfre, an insurance company. Also present in the tower are: Haufe Group, Kantox, ExoClick, Dorlet, Europerfil, Madrid Leasing (CAJA MADRID), Condal Grues, URSSA (Mondragón Corporation), Flex Multimedia Advertising SL (Flex Multimedia Group LTD), Kofax, Oriol Bohigues, Necso, Uniland Cementera S.A, Cementos Portland Valderrivas, Zardoya Otis, Texsa S.A, Oliver Wyman, Criteo. This tower holds the title for highest helipad in Spain at 154 m (505 ft) above ground. Unlike its twin, Hotel Arts, this tower is a mixed use tower.

Parque de Carlos I (in Catalan: Parc de Carles I) is located in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona. It was created in 1992 with a project by Pep Zazurca and Juli Laviña. It is dedicated to Emperor Charles I of Spain and V of Germany, of whom good memories are kept in Barcelona since on a visit in 1519 he commented that he preferred "to be Count of Barcelona rather than Emperor of the Germanys."

The Port Olímpic (English: Olympic Harbour) is a marina located in Barcelona, Catalonia. Located east of the Port of Barcelona, it hosted the sailing events for the 1992 Summer Olympics. The venue was opened in 1991.

Ciutadella | Vila Olímpica (Catalan pronunciation: [siwtəˈðeʎə ˈβilə uˈlimpikə]) is the name of a station in the Barcelona Metro network, as well of a nearby Trambesòs station in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona. It's named after one of Barcelona's major parks, Parc de la Ciutadella, and Vila Olímpica, a neighbourhood in the immediate vicinities. It's served by L4 (yellow line), and tram route T4, of which it is a terminus. It was built in 1977 under Parc de Carles I. It was closed between 1991 and 1992 because of infrastructure improvement with the occasion of the 1992 Olympic Games, and again as of mid-2007 due to improvement of L4. Within two blocks stands the Ciutadella campus of Pompeu Fabra University and the station is often crowded with university students. In summer it's also common to spot tourists heading to the Barceloneta beach. The nearest metro stations are Barceloneta and Bogatell. Before 1982 it was known as Ribera (named after the neighbourhood), and from then to 1992, simply as Ciutadella.

El Cul (A Santiago Roldán) is a monument unveiled in 1999, created by sculptor Eduardo Úrculo, situated in the Parque de Carlos I in Barcelona, Spain. It is a bronze sculpture with a height of 6.5 m (21 ft), a tribute to Santiago Roldán, the president of the Holding Olímpico SA. In Oviedo, Eduardo Úrculo created a similar sculpture, Culis monumentalibus.

Gas Natural Building, also known as Mare Nostrum Tower, is an office skyscraper located in the La Barceloneta neighbourhood of the Ciutat Vella district in Barcelona, Spain. It was the headquarters building of the Spanish company Naturgy, formerly known as Gas Natural, until 2019 when the company legal headquarters were moved to Madrid.

Barcelona Zoo (Parc Zoològic de Barcelona in Catalan, Parque Zoológico de Barcelona in Spanish) is a zoo in the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The zoo used to be internationally known as the home of Snowflake, the only known albino gorilla, who died in 2003.

Harbour.Space University also known as Harbour.Space, is a private university for technology, entrepreneurship, and design, with campuses in Barcelona, Spain and Bangkok, Thailand. Harbour.Space offers both bachelor's and master's degrees accredited through its partnership with UTCC (University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce).
