Dearborn is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Dearborn borders Detroit to the south and west, roughly 7 miles (11.3 km) west of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 109,976, ranking as the seventh-largest city in Michigan. Dearborn is best known as the home of the Ford Motor Company, and the birthplace and hometown of its founder, Henry Ford. The first written settlement of Dearborn dates to 18th century by French Canadian voyageurs who initially called the settlement “La Belle Fontaine” or “Place aux Fontaines” because of the abundant springs in the city. It is for this reason that Dearborn was once named Springwells, an anglicization of the French name.The settlement was connected to the Detroit River ribbon farm communities and other farms connected to the Rouge River and the Sauk Trail. The community grew in the 19th century with the establishment of the Detroit Arsenal on the Chicago Road linking Detroit and Chicago. In the 20th century, it developed as a major manufacturing hub for the automotive industry. Henry Ford was born on a farm that was once at the intersection of Ford Road and Greenfield Road. Ford later built his estate, Fair Lane, in Dearborn, as well as his River Rouge Complex, the largest factory of his Ford empire. He developed mass production of automobiles, and based the world headquarters of the Ford Motor Company here. The city has a campus of the University of Michigan as well as Henry Ford College. The Henry Ford, the United States' largest indoor-outdoor historic museum complex and Metro Detroit's leading tourist attraction, is located here.Dearborn residents are Americans primarily of European or Middle Eastern ancestry, many descendants of 19th and 20th-century immigrants. The primary European ethnicities, as identified by respondents to the census, are German, Polish, Irish, and Italian. New waves of immigration from the Middle East came in the late 20th century, Muslims and Christians from Lebanon and Palestine, as well as immigrants from Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. Dearborn is home to the largest Muslim population in the United States per capita as well as the largest mosque in North America.

The Edward Hotel & Convention Center was a 14-story, 773-room former conference center hotel located in the Metro Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Michigan at 600 Town Center Drive, near the intersection of M-39 and U.S. Highway 12. It was the second largest hotel in Michigan, after the Marriott in Detroit's Renaissance Center.

The Parklane Towers complex is a pair of twin office buildings in Dearborn, Michigan, United States, known locally as the "salt and pepper shakers" or "washer and dryer"Parklane Towers East is located at 1 Parklane Boulevard in Dearborn, Michigan. It was constructed in 1971 and stands at 15 stories. The older of the twin buildings is used for offices, retail, and other commercial space.Parklane Towers West is located at 3 Parklane Boulevard in Dearborn, MI. The younger of the two buildings was constructed in 1973 and stands at 15 floors in height. Designed by Rossetti architects, the high-rise is used for offices and retail space. Rossetti architects designed both towers in the modern architectural style with concrete and glass as its main materials. Joseph Pasquali was the tile setter and mechanic for the towers.

Fairlane Town Center is a super-regional shopping mall in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Michigan. The mall is adjacent to The Henry Hotel, The Fairlane Club, the University of Michigan–Dearborn, Henry Ford Community College, The Henry Ford, and the Ford Motor Company headquarters. The anchor stores are Macy's and JCPenney, with vacant anchor spaces last occupied by AMC Theatres, Sears, and Ford Motor Company offices. Following a major renovation in 2007, the mall features a large food court, full-service restaurants, several eateries, and merchandise for the urbanized market. The mall is about a 15-minute drive from downtown Detroit, Wayne State University, or Metro Airport.

Ford Airport in Dearborn, Michigan, United States, was one of the first modern airports in the world. It operated from 1924 to 1947. The site is now part of Ford Motor Company's Dearborn Proving Ground. The airport was about 360 acres (150 ha) in size.This airport saw many world and U.S. "firsts": the first U.S. airport hotel, the first concrete runways, first U.S. scheduled passenger service, first contracted airmail service, first radio control for a commercial flight, and first U.S. passenger terminal. The buildings were designed by architect Albert Kahn and are considered to have greatly influenced the design of airports throughout the U.S.The original aircraft facilities were in use as part of the Ford testing facilities at the proving ground. However, the original (greatly modified) passenger terminal was demolished in 1961, and the remaining hangar, used as an experimental engine test facility since the late 1940s, was demolished in 2018. Only The Dearborn Inn, a hotel that was built across the road to serve the airport, remains.

The Springwells Park Historic District is a historic residential neighborhood located in Dearborn, Michigan and bounded by Rotunda Drive, the Michigan Central Railroad line, and Greenfield and Eastham Roads. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

The University of Michigan-Dearborn Fieldhouse is a multi-purpose arena/athletic facility located in Dearborn, Michigan on the campus of University of Michigan-Dearborn.The facility houses a 2,500-seat multi-purpose gymnasium that is the home to the Michigan-Dearborn Men's and Women's basketball teams, and UMD Women's Volleyball team competing at the NAIA Division II level in the Wolverine–Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).The Fieldhouse also houses a 1,500-seat ice arena that serves as the home for Wolverines Men's Ice Hockey team competing at the ACHA Division I level in the NAIA Hockey Division and the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.The fieldhouse is also used for recreation and Intramural sports.

Greenfield Village was an Amtrak station in Dearborn, Michigan served by the Wolverine. It closed to regular seasonal service in 2006 and to all service in 2014. The station had a single side platform serving one of the two tracks of the Michigan Line. A pedestrian crossing from the platform led to The Henry Ford at Smiths Creek Depot on the parallel Weiser Railroad.

Fair Lane was the estate of Ford Motor Company founder Henry Ford and his wife, Clara Ford, in Dearborn, Michigan, in the United States. It was named after an area in Cork in Ireland where Ford's adoptive grandfather, Patrick Ahern, was born. The 1,300-acre (530 ha) estate along the River Rouge included a large limestone house, an electrical power plant on the dammed river, a greenhouse, a boathouse, riding stables, a children's playhouse, a treehouse, and extensive landmark gardens designed by Chicago landscape architect Jens Jensen. The residence and part of the estate grounds are open to the public as a historical landscape and house museum, and preserved as a National Historic Landmark. Part of the estate grounds are preserved as a university nature study area.

St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church was established on May 24, 1942 on Waterman Street in Detroit, MI, US. The current location in Dearborn, MI was dedicated on October 14, 1962; it serves the Armenians in Eastern Michigan, and is one of the Churches of the Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America under jurisdiction of the Holy See of Cilicia. The congregation supports the Armenian Senior Citizen Tower, also called St Sarkis Towers, a 151-unit low income/senior housing facility near the church.

The University of Michigan–Dearborn (U of M Dearborn, UM–Dearborn, or UMD) is a public university in Dearborn, Michigan. It is one of the two regional universities operating under the policies of the University of Michigan Board of Regents, the other being the University of Michigan–Flint.UMD is one of the 14 master's universities in the State of Michigan. The university's enrollment is approximately 8,700 students, behind Baker College, ahead of Saginaw Valley State University. The university's four colleges include the College of Arts, Sciences, & Letters, the College of Engineering & Computer Science, the College of Business, and the College of Education, Health, & Human Services. The university offers over 100 majors and minors, 43 master's degree programs, and 6 doctoral degree/specialist programs. Located in Metro Detroit, UMD is also known for its community engagement within the region. Together with Oakland University, the University of Michigan-Flint, and Wayne State University, UMD is one of the four Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) members in the State of Michigan.In 1957, land from Henry Ford's Fair Lane estate, a U.S. National Historic Landmark, was officially donated to the University of Michigan to create the Dearborn campus.
