Stenløse is a district in Odense, Denmark. It is located about 10 kilometers south of the urban center of Odense, at an average elevation of 32 meters above the sea level. As of the year 2022, the district had a population of 3,701.

The Funen Village (Danish: Den Fynske Landsby) is an open-air museum located in the neighborhood of Fruens Bøge in Odense, Denmark.

Maderup Mølle is a smock mill originally built in Maderup, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south-west of Bogense, on the island of Funen in Denmark. It was constructed in 1832 and operated as a grain mill until the mid-1930s.The building was dismantled in 1941 and moved to The Funen Village, an open-air museum in Odense, where it now stands.The windmill is built to an octagonal design. The upper part is reed-thatched, and the cap is thatched with straw.

Funen (Danish: Fyn, pronounced [ˈfyˀn]), with an area of 3,099.7 square kilometres (1,196.8 sq mi), is the third-largest island of Denmark, after Zealand and Vendsyssel-Thy. It is the 165th-largest island in the world. It is located in the central part of the country and has a population of 469,947 as of 2020. Funen's main city is Odense, which is connected to the sea by a seldom-used canal. The city's shipyard, Odense Steel Shipyard, has been relocated outside Odense proper. Funen belongs administratively to the Region of Southern Denmark. From 1970 to 2006 the island formed the biggest part of Funen County, which also included the islands of Langeland, Ærø, Tåsinge, and a number of smaller islands. Funen is linked to Zealand, Denmark's largest island, by the Great Belt Bridge, which carries both trains and cars. The bridge is in reality three bridges; low road and rail bridges connect Funen to the small island of Sprogø in the middle of the Great Belt, and a long road suspension bridge (the second longest in the world at the time of opening) connects Funen the rest of the way to Zealand, paralleled by a rail tunnel. Two bridges connect Funen to the Danish mainland, Jutland. The Old Little Belt Bridge was constructed in the 1930s, shortly before World War II for both cars and trains. The New Little Belt Bridge, a suspension bridge, was constructed in the 1970s and is used for cars only. Apart from the main city, Odense, all major towns are located in coastal areas. Beginning in the north-east of the island and moving clockwise, they are Kerteminde (NE), Nyborg (E), Svendborg (S), Fåborg (SW), Assens (W), Middelfart (NW) and Bogense (N). The highest natural point on Funen is Frøbjerg Bavnehøj.

Odense Zoo is a zoological garden in Odense, Denmark. At the time of its opening in 1930, the zoo had two apes, a peacock, a deer, a mule, magpies, and guinea pigs. Today, the zoo has animals from all over the world, covering around 100 species such as chimpanzee, monkeys, ring-tailed lemur, Siberian tiger, Grévy's zebra, giraffe, red panda, West Indian manatee, ostrich, penguins, pink-backed pelican, greater flamingo, macaws and Aldabra giant tortoise. In 2001, Odense Zoo inaugurated a DKK 60 million "Oceanium" featuring South American animal life, ranging from the Amazon Rainforest to Antarctica. In 2008, Odense Zoo was Funen's most popular tourist attraction and number 9 in Denmark, and in 2013 it received the "Best in Europe" award in its category (zoos with up to 500,000 visitors per year). The visitor record was set in the first year of the "Oceanium" when the zoo received 439,533 visitors.

Hunderup is a central-southern neighbourhood of Odense, in Funen, Denmark.

Dyrup is a community and suburb of Odense, Denmark, along the green Odense River valley. Before the 1950s, Dyrup had approximately 700 inhabitants, was mostly rural and part of Sanderum municipality and parish. It is mentioned in 1497 as "Dyroppe", but is significantly older and shares its name with old Dyrupgård. Today, Dyrup has approximately 4,500 inhabitants, is part of Odense Municipality and has its own church. Dyrup consists of bungalows, villas and some semis built from the late 1960s until today. Most children in Dyrup attend Højmeskolen, which has adjacent swimming and indoor sports centres, football pitches, etc. To the west is an active commercial district. Also Manchester United Goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard was born here

Odense University Hospital (OUH) is the largest and most specialized hospital in Southern Denmark. OUH is both Odense's and Funen's largest single workplace (Odense Municipality employs significantly more, but they are spread over many addresses). It has a budget of 835 million Euro and has 11.000 employees.OUH acts as a local and acute hospital in the northern part of Funen, but takes patients from all over Denmark, as it has highly specialized units within hand replantation surgery and special neuro-radiological intervention. In addition to reading Driver, OUH has an extensive research activity, and annually trains 2.500 people as part of either basic or continuing education. The hospital tower block, constructed in 1960, is 57 metres (187 ft) high, has 15 floors and is Odense's tallest building. Hospital Pharmacy Fyn is located at the university hospital. From the university hospital area there is a walkway to the Odense Sygehus Station operated by Svendborgbanen. OUH has for several years had the organizational Middelfart Hospital under it, but since 2008 also the former hospitals under the organizational name Funen Hospital, which are the County of Funen's smaller hospitals, became part of OUH. This concerns Svendborg Hospital, Dagklinik Faaborg, Hospital Unit Nyborg, Hospital Unit Ringe and Hospital Unit Aero.

Sanderum is a village and southwestern suburb of Odense, in Funen, Denmark.

Ansgars Church (Danish: Ansgars Kirke) is a church in Odense, Denmark, within the Diocese of Funen. Completed in 1902, it was the first church built in the city since the Middle Ages. The church was designed by Niels Jacobsen in a late Romanesque style from red brick, and built on granite foundation. Its features include a cross-shaped interior and a spired bell-tower measuring 45 metres (148 ft). There are three mural paintings inside the church: the 1902 work is a decoration on vault rubs, the 1917 frescoes are in the parish hall, and the 1935–1936 frescoes on the altar's niche.

Teater Momentum is a small theatre in Odense, Denmark.Its location is at Ny Vestergade 18. The theatre itself was established in 2005 and it only features shows which are under the branch of modern drama. Teater Momentum receives public funding from the municipality of Odense and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The structure of the theatre is special as every season is different from the preceding one. Every new season, a new team of actors and an artistic director will take over the production of the plays shown at the theatre. Furthermore, the ensemble have to fulfill some goals set forth by the theatre's Artistic Committee. This type of theatre was established with the season of 2007/2008 called Volume 1.

Nonnebakken (literally, "The Nun Hill") is a hill in Odense, Denmark. It is the site of one of Denmark's six former Viking ring castles, built during the reign of Sweyn Forkbeard, who had forced his father Harold Bluetooth to leave the country and seek refuge with the Jomsvikings on Wollin (modern Poland) around 975. The fort enabled its occupier to control the Odense River passing next to the hill. The name refers to a Benedictine nunnery located here in earlier times. At the end of the 12th century, the nuns left the site to build a new church in Dalum to the southeast, now a suburb of Odense. The earthwork ramparts can be recognized in the "panorama of Odense" in the medieval tome Civitates Orbis Terrarum from Georg Braun and Frans Hogenberg. The panorama appears as plate 30 in Volume 5, finished in 1598. Plate 30 was engraved in 1593, based on information from Heinrich Rantzau or from sketches he gave in order. It also appears on the panorama of Odense published by Braunius in 1593. The archaeological remains of Nonnebakken took heavy damage during the late 19th century, when a building for the Odd Fellow lodge was constructed on the site. In the 20th century, scientific excavations led by Fyns Stiftsmuseum revealed that the circular castle had an inner diameter of 120 m and was built in the years 980-1000, similar to the other Viking ring castles.
