Acme Attractions was a London clothing store on Kings Road, Chelsea, London, that in the early 1970s provided a place for many punk and reggae musicians and scenesters to hang out. Shop assistant and manager Don Letts described Acme Attraction as a place "where the interaction between the different factions became more important than selling merchandise, even though at that age it was a deadly combination."

The Temperance Billiard Hall at 131–141 King's Road, Chelsea, London, is a Grade II listed building with English Heritage.It was built around 1912–14 to a design by Thomas Retford Somerford for Temperance Billiards Halls Ltd., and became an antiques centre in the 1960s. It is still retail premises. It is now connected to the former Chelsea Garage in 15 Flood Street, which is also Grade II listed.

The Chelsea Garage is a Grade II listed former motorcar garage at 15 Flood Street, Chelsea, London.It was built in about 1919, and the architect was Ernest Coles, for Duff, Morgan and Vermont Ltd, motor engineers. It was altered in the 1960s when it was converted to an antiques centre, and later when it was connected to the former Temperance Billiard Hall in King's Road.

The Chelsea Potter is a pub at 119 King's Road, Chelsea, London. It was built in 1842, sited on the corner of Kings Road and Radnor walk and originally called the Commercial Tavern it was renamed in 1958 in honour of the Chelsea Pottery located at 13 to 15 Radnor Walk and founded by David Rawnsley in 1952. The Chelsea Pottery was subsequently run for 40 years by Brian Hubbard http://www.studiopottery.com/cgi-bin/mp.cgi?item=52 For many years the pub sign showed a potter 'throwing a pot' on a wheel, one of the main techniques used at the Chelsea Pottery in producing its wares.The assertion that the Chelsea Potter was named after William de Morgan was first seen in a Taylor Walker website in 2015, possibly in ignorance of the recent existence of the Chelsea Pottery just 50 Yards from the pub's site.It is not clear why the Commercial Tavern would in 1958 be renamed after a pottery further away from the pub site than the Chelsea Pottery. The Commercial Tavern had never previously been named after William de Morgan's pottery which had closed in 1907.British History Online notes that "the Chelsea Potter became famous in the 1960s and 70s", and regular customers included Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones.

Shawfield Street is a street in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea off King's Road in SW3. On the corner is Shawfield House, a 7-bedroom mansion currently owned by Charles Saatchi and formerly, of ex-wife Nigella Lawson, which was redeveloped by them from a former gas engineering works. There is also an Oxfam shop on Shawfield Street and a hairdresser's called Vanilla . The street was used in the 2013 film Saving Mr. Banks as No.29 was the historical home of writer P. L. Travers.It is parallel to Radnor Walk and Flood Street.

The southern continuation, Cheyne Gardens ends at Cheyne Walk. It was originally called Manor Street.In 1931, the Peabody Trust built the Chelsea Manor Street estate of eight blocks totalling 111 flats, designed by Victor Wilkins. Following modernisation in the 1970s, there are now 103 flats.The designers Edward McKnight Kauffer and Marion Dorn lived at Swan Court, Chelsea Manor Street, and this is commemorated by a blue plaque placed by English Heritage in 2015. Crime writer Dame Agatha Christie and travel writer Alasdair Alpin MacGregor also lived at Swan Court. American novelist,author of Butterfield 8, John O'Hara lived in Chesil Court.

It has hosted the weddings of many notable people.According to The Independent, it is "still one of the hippest places to get married".

The Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea was a metropolitan borough of the County of London between 1900 and 1965. It was created by the London Government Act 1899 from most of the ancient parish of Chelsea. It was amalgamated in 1965 under the London Government Act 1963, with the Royal Borough of Kensington to form the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Chelsea is an affluent area in west London, England, due south-west of Charing Cross by approximately 2.5 miles. It lies on the north bank of the River Thames and for postal purposes is part of the south-western postal area. Chelsea historically formed a manor and parish in the Ossulstone hundred of Middlesex, which became the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea in 1900. It merged with the Metropolitan Borough of Kensington, forming the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea upon the formation of the Greater London area in 1965. The exclusivity of Chelsea as a result of its high property prices historically resulted in the coining of the term "Sloane Ranger" in the 1970s to describe some of its residents, and some of those of nearby areas. Chelsea is home to one of the largest communities of Americans living outside the United States, with 6.53% of Chelsea residents having been born in the U.S..

Radnor Walk is a residential street in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea off the King's Road in London. The houses are mid and late Victorian and the street is part of the Royal Hospital Conservation Area. It was originally called Radnor Street, and was named after John Robartes, 1st Earl of Radnor who died in Chelsea in 1685. It was renamed Radnor Walk in 1937.It runs parallel to Shawfield Street and Smith Street.

The Chelsea Classic Cinema was a cinema originally opened in 1913 as the Chelsea Picture Playhouse, in the King's Road, Chelsea. It was designed by Felix Joubert, the cabinet maker and owner of The Pheasantry next door at number 152. It was built on land previously occupied by Box Farm (built in 1686 and demolished in 1899). On the western corner of Markham Street, it was initially opened by the London & Provincial Electric Theatre Company in 1913 with seating for 394 on a single floor. In the 1920s it was known as the Electric Theatre. By 1937 it had been taken over by Classic Cinemas Ltd, who specialised in repertory screenings of classic Hollywood films, and was renamed the Classic Cinema, when the facade was reduced in height and given a 'modern' look which it kept until it closed on 4 August 1973. It was the venue for The Rocky Horror Show four weeks after it had opened in London (at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs), playing for three months. After the run ended, the building was demolished, replaced by a branch of Boots the Chemist in 1973.
