The Yusef Abad Synagogue (Persian: کنیسه یوسف آباد Kanise-ye Yusef Ābād, Hebrew: בית הכנסת יוסף-אבד) is the main synagogue of Tehran, Iran. It is also one of the largest synagogues of the city. The official name of the Yusef Abad Synagogue is Sukkot Shalom Synagogue. The original building that housed the synagogue was completed in the early 1950s. With the growth of the Jewish population of the capital especially in the Yusef Abad neighborhood, it was decided that a newer building was needed. With the help of local community leaders headed by Avraham Yusian, the construction of the new facade was completed in October 1965. The doors of the new synagogue were opened to the public on Rosh Hashanah 5726 (Hebrew calendar).On February 8, 2003, President Mohammad Khatami visited Yusef Abad Synagogue becoming the first President of Iran to visit a synagogue since the Islamic Revolution. Chief Rabbi Yousef Hamadani Cohen, Haroun Yashayaei, and Morris Motamed attended and represented the Jewish community of Iran. For the event, Chief Rabbi Yosef Hamadani Cohen led the opening the Torah scroll ark and the reciting of prayers.

Valiasr Street (Persian: خیابان ولی‌عصر), formerly known as the Pahlavi Street (Persian: خیابان پهلوی), is a tree-lined street in Tehran, dividing the metropolis into western and eastern parts which were built in 1922 to 1927 respectively, considering the end of asphalt plan it ended in 1933. It is considered one of Tehran's main thoroughfares and commercial centers. It is also the longest street in the Middle East, and was reported as one of the longest in the world by former BBC (now Al Jazeera) journalist Rageh Omaar during the television documentary Welcome to Tehran.The street was built by Reza Shah Pahlavi's order and called the Pahlavi Street. After the 1979 Islamic Revolution the street's name was changed initially to Mossadeq Street (in reference to the former nationalist prime minister Mohammad Mossadegh) and later to Valiasr (a reference to the 12th Shi'ite Imam). This vibrant, hub-like street is lined with many shops, restaurants, parks, and cultural centers situated along this long avenue.

The Ministry of Interior (Persian: وزارت کشور, Vezârat-e Keshvar) of the Islamic Republic of Iran is in charge of performing, supervising and reporting elections, policing, and other responsibilities related to an interior ministry.

Azadi Cinema Complex is a cineplex building located at Beheshti Street in Tehran. It is used for movie premieres and various entertainment events.

Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) (Persian: بانک توسعه صادرات ايران, Bank Tuse'h-e Sadârat-e Iran) is Iran's export-import bank. The bank was incorporated as a policy bank, owned by the Iranian government, and provides financial and other conventional banking services to Iranian exporters and importers.

The Khorasaniha Synagogue (Hebrew: בית הכנסת ח'וראסאניה) is a Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at the junction of Zartosht and Valiasr Streets in Tehran, Iran.

Iran Air Flight 291 was a flight from Mashad Airport to Tehran-Mehrabad Airport that crashed on 21 January 1980 during its approach to Tehran-Mehrabad runway 29 in foggy and snowy weather conditions, killing all 128 people on board. At the time, Iran Air Flight 291 was the deadliest aircraft disaster in Iranian history.

Arjantin Square is a square in north central Tehran. The area surrounding the square is referred to as Yousefabad although this is an incorrect title. The area around the large square is home to a collection of embassies, businesses, Medical labs, hospitals and the Arjantin Beihaghi Bus Terminal, which is central Tehran's main national bus terminal.

The Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense Works and Values (Persian: بنیاد حفظ آثار و نشر ارزش‌های دفاع مقدس) is one of the institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the aim of preserving the relics and disseminating the values of the Sacred Defense (Iran-Iraq war known by Iranians as the "Sacred Defence" or "Holy Defense") and promoting the culture of resistance, self-sacrifice, jihad and martyrdom. It was established by order of the Supreme Leader of Iran at the end of Iran-Iraq war in October 1990. This foundation is headed by Sardar Bahman Kargar and its parent department is General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Amir Abad (Persian: امیرآباد) is a district in the city of Tehran, Iran. The main street of Amir Abad is called Kargar Avenue and is one of the longest streets of Tehran, extending from Southern Tehran's Rah Ahan Square to Northern Amir Abad. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is headquartered north of this district. University of Tehran has large parts of its engineering, economics, physics departments, and physical education facilities, as well as the majority of its student dormitories located here. Laleh Park is in the middle of North Kargar street. Shariati Hospital is also located on this street.

Saint Sarkis Cathedral (Armenian: Սուրբ Սարգիս մայր տաճար, Surp Sarkis mayr tachar, (Persian: کلیسای سرکیس مقدس‎, Kâlysay Sirkes Miqedâs) is an Armenian Apostolic church in Tehran, Iran, completed in 1970 and named after Saint Sarkis the Warrior. It is the cathedral of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran, one of three Armenian dioceses in Iran, whose prelate is archbishop Sepuh Sargsyan.

Abrishami Synagogue (Persian: كنيسهء ابريشمى Kanise ye Abrishami, Hebrew: בית הכנסת אברישמי) is a synagogue in Tehran, Iran. It was built in September 1965 in the upper-middle-class neighborhood of Kakh Shomali (currently N. Palestine Street). The land on which the synagogue-school compound was built was granted by the Iranian Jewish philanthropist, Aghajan Abrishami and is 1,025 square meters (approximately 11,040 square feet) in size. A foundation was originally created by the name of Tzedek Cultural Foundation whose mission was to oversee the building and operations of the Abrishami Synagogue-School Compound. The founding members of the foundation were: Aghajan Abrishami, Nasser Akhtarzad, David Berukhim, Menashe Purat, Benjamin Shaban, Mehdi Musazadeh, Habib Lavi, (Hacham) Abdollah Netan Eli and Musa Nassir. The compound consists of two floors. The first floor is a school and the second floor houses Abrishami Synagogue. The building was constructed in a modernist 1960s architectural style. Abrishami Synagogue serves as the social and cultural center of the Jewish community of Tehran and is administered directly by the Chief Rabbinate. The Chief Rabbi of Iran, Yousef Hamadani Cohen died March 29, 2014.
