Canteen Brewhouse (formerly Il Vicino Brewing Company) is an American craft brewery founded in 1994 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Albuquerque ( (listen) AL-bə-kur-kee; Spanish: [alβuˈkeɾke]), abbreviated ABQ, is the most populous city in the U.S. state of New Mexico. Its nicknames, The Duke City and Burque, both reference its founding in 1706 as La Villa de Alburquerque by Nuevo México governor Francisco Cuervo y Valdés. The Albuquerque metropolitan area had 916,528 residents in 2020, and forms part of the Albuquerque–Santa Fe–Las Vegas combined statistical area, which had a population of 1,162,523.Albuquerque is a hub for technology and media companies, historic landmarks, and the fine arts. The city is home to the University of New Mexico, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the Gathering of Nations, the New Mexico State Fair, and a diverse restaurant scene, which features both New Mexican and global cuisine.

The Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area, sometimes referred to as Tiguex (named after the Southern Tiwa), is a metropolitan area in central New Mexico centered on the city of Albuquerque. The metro comprises four counties: Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance, and Valencia. As of the 2010 United States Census, the MSA had a population of 887,077. The population is estimated to be 923,630 as of July 1, 2020, making Greater Albuquerque the 61st-largest MSA in the nation. The Albuquerque MSA forms a part of the larger Albuquerque–Santa Fe–Las Vegas combined statistical area with a 2020 estimated population of 1,165,181, ranked 49th-largest in the country.

The Battle of Albuquerque was a small engagement of the American Civil War in April 1862 between General Henry Hopkins Sibley's Army of New Mexico and a Union Army under Edward R. S. Canby.

Big I is the name of the freeway interchange where Interstate 25 and Interstate 40 intersect northeast of downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Camino Nuevo Correctional Center was a women's low-security pre-release prison for incarcerated New Mexico female felons. It was located on the grounds of the New Mexico Youth Diagnostic and Development Center, which houses the most violent youth incarcerated in the New Mexico Corrections Department, which is administered by the New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD). Camino Nuevo was administered by Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) for the New Mexico Corrections Department. It opened in July 2006 (2006-07), and closed at the end of April 2008 (2008-04) because of dwindling inmate populations.In February 2012 three former inmates of Camino Nuevo were awarded more than $3 million in damages by a federal jury, related to accusations of rape and negligent supervision on the part of CCA.

The Beach was a 14-acre water park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The park was started in 1987, its final open season was 2004, and it was closed in 2005. The park's land was put up for sale in 2014. When the park was active, the three 75-foot slides used to tower over Interstate 25.

KNMM (1150 AM and 102.1 FM) is a radio station licensed to Sangre de Cristo Broadcasting Co., Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States, the station serves the Albuquerque area. The station switched to 60s and 70s classic hits format, but continues to play New Mexico music on Saturdays with some Tejano music as well, and syndicates Fox News Radio and KOAT-TV for some news programming. KNMM has also reached a 3-year agreement to air live coverage of New Mexico State Aggies football and basketball.In March 2015, the then-KDEF was granted an FCC construction permit to triplex at the KSVA/KRZY transmitter site. The day power will be 1,500 watts and the night power will be 105 watts. On December 1, 2016, the station was licensed to Sangre de Cristo Broadcasting Co., Inc., which owns four stations in the Las Vegas, New Mexico area. 1150 AM is a Regional broadcast frequency in the United States and Canada.

The University of New Mexico School of Law (UNM Law or New Mexico Law) is the law school of the University of New Mexico, a public research university in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded in 1947, it is the only law school in the state.With approximately 300 students and 32 faculty, UNM Law has a student-to-faculty ratio of 5 to 1, among the best in the nation. An average of 100 students are enrolled annually, with an acceptance rate of 44 percent. The Juris Doctor (J.D.) program is a full-time day program requiring completion of 86 credit hours in three years. The school also offers dual degree J.D./Masters programs in Accounting, Latin American Studies, Business Administration, or Public Administration; a Master of Studies in Law (MSL); and certificates in Indian law and natural resources law. UNM Law maintains five full-time legal clinics and is unique in requiring the completion of a clinical course to graduate.UNM Law has one of the highest student diversity indexes of any U.S. law school, with Hispanics as the largest minority group. The school was among the first to prioritize the enrollment of indigenous people and is recognized as the top law school for Native Americans, as well as the second-best law school for Hispanics. The UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC) is housed in the University of New Mexico Cancer Research Building. The building has five stories and covers 206,000 square feet of clinical space. It is designed as a shelled space for future expansion. The building cost $100 million and was officially opened in 2009.
