George Washington Memorial Park is a cemetery located in Paramus, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It was established in 1939 as a "whites only" cemetery.

The 5th Ryder Cup Matches were held at the Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey, a suburb northwest of New York City in Bergen County. The United States team won the competition by a score of 9–3 points to regain the cup. The U.S. took a 3–2 lead in the series, all of which were won on home soil. It was the first of seven consecutive wins by the U.S. side, which did not lose again until 1957 in England.

Terhune–Gardner–Lindenmeyr House is located in Paramus, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1707 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 7, 1972.

The Yavneh Academy is a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school located in Paramus, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It educates students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The school's motto is "Stimulating the mind, Nourishing the soul." The school was originally established in Paterson, New Jersey. As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 786 students (plus 60 in PreK) and 108.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 7.2:1. The school's student body was 100% White. Yavneh's graduating class of 2016 consisted of approximately 90 students. Owned and managed by Paris-based real estate management company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, the mall is situated at the intersection of Route 4 and Route 17 near the Garden State Parkway, about 15 miles (24 km) west of the New York City borough of Manhattan. Opened in 1957 as the first suburban shopping mall in New Jersey, it has 300 stores and 2,118,718 sq ft (196,835.3 m2) of leasable space, ranked in 2022 as the 16th-largest shopping mall in United States and qualifying it as a super-regional mall according to the standards of the International Council of Shopping Centers.The mall had sales of $775 per square foot in 2013, almost 75% above the national average. In a study of malls in the United States performed on behalf of CNBC, published in 2018, Garden State Plaza ranked ninth in the nation, based on sales of $950 per square foot. Most of the mall, especially retail outlets, is closed on Sunday in accordance with state and local blue laws. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 2006.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,205 students and 103.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.6:1. The Maywood Chemical Company processed radioactive thorium waste from 1916 through 1955 in Maywood / Rochelle Park, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) deemed Maywood Chemical a Superfund site in 1983 and has since been in the clean process.

The Zabriskie Tenant House was a historic house of the American colonial architecture style called Dutch Colonial on Dunkerhook Road in Paramus, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, adjacent to the Saddle River County Park. The Zabriskie family, who farmed much of the area to the east of the Saddle River (Passaic River), built the home to house their domestic workers. It was one of the few structures left in New Jersey directly related to free African American communities in the state, and was a remnant of an African American Dunkerhook community that (until the early 20th century) included several homes and an A.M.E. Church. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 24, 1984, as part of the Early Stone Houses of Bergen County Multiple Property Submission (MPS), for its significance in exploration/settlement and architecture.
