Don Roman Santos Building

The Our Lady of the Pillar Parish Church, commonly known as the Santa Cruz Church and also designated as the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament, is a baroque Roman Catholic parish church in the district of Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. It was built when the arrabal (suburb) of Santa Cruz was established by the Jesuits in the early 17th century. The church had undergone many repairs and reconstruction, with the last reconstruction done in the 1950s. It is the first Mission and Mother house of Filipino Sacramentinos, making it as the center of Congregation Activities and events The church façade is topped with a statue of Our Lady of the Pillar, the patroness of the church, whose feast is held every 3rd Sunday of October. On December 7, 2017, Pope Francis granted the Canonical coronation of the venerated image. The current parish priest is Fr. Rudsend P. Paragas, SSS. On June 3, 2018, as part of the Church-wide celebrations of Corpus Christi, it was officially raised to an Archdiocesan Shrine by the decree of the then-Archbishop of Manila, Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, in the Archdiocese-wide holiday mass held in the church.

HUB: Make Lab also known as the Hub, is an adaptive reuse, incubator space for creative startups and artists which also acts as an alternative shopping center. Located within the former space occupied by Berg's Department Store in First United Building in Escolta St., Binondo, Manila, Philippines. Opened in 2016 after the success of the Saturday X Future Market, organized by the artist collective, 98B COLLABoratory along with the increasing foot traffic in Escolta during its first street party known as the Escolta Block Party. HUB: Make Lab is a project of 98B COLLABoratory and the First United Building. In December 2018, it has since then evolved into its own organization serving its creative and action-oriented communities. It has also become a reference for other new creative hubs in the Philippines, one notable example is Pineapple Lab, formerly located in Poblacion, Makati City which was closed down in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Regina Building, previously known as Roxas Building, is a historic building located along Escolta Street in Binondo, Manila, Philippines. It was designed sequentially by Andrés Luna de San Pedro and Fernando H. Ocampo. The neoclassical beaux-arts commercial structure was built in 1915.

Plaza Lacson, also known by its old name, Plaza (de) Goiti, is a public square in Santa Cruz, Manila. It is bounded by Plaza Santa Cruz and Escolta Street to the west, Carlos Palanca Street (formerly Echague Street) to the south, and Carriedo Street to the east. Although the plaza is not considered the center of Santa Cruz, as it is located behind the Santa Cruz Church rather than in front of it, the plaza is considered to be one of the most important squares in Manila. Originally named after Martin de Goiti, who founded the City of Manila in 1571, it was renamed by Mayor Lito Atienza in 2003 after Arsenio Lacson, who previously served as mayor of Manila from 1952 to 1962.

The First United Building, formerly known and still commonly referred to as Perez-Samanillo Building, is an Art Deco building on Escolta Street in Binondo, Manila, Philippines. It was designed by Andrés P. Luna, the son of renowned painter Juan Luna, and was the tallest building in Manila when it was completed in 1928.

Burke Building is a historic building along Escolta corner Burke, Binondo, Manila, Philippines. First built in 1919, it survived World War II and has gone major remodeling since. Named after philanthropist, William J. Burke, the building is also known as the location of the first elevator in Manila.

Santa Cruz is a district in the northern part of the City of Manila, Philippines, located on the right bank of the Pasig River near its mouth, bordered by the districts of Tondo, Binondo, Quiapo, and Sampaloc, as well as the areas of Grace Park and Barrio San Jose in Caloocan and the district of La Loma in Quezon City. Carriedo Fountain (Spanish: Fuente Carriedo) is a fountain in Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. It was built in honor of the 18th-century Capitán General of Manila, Don Francisco Carriedo y Peredo, benefactor of Manila's pipe water system. It was moved three times before its current location at Plaza Santa Cruz, right in front of the Santa Cruz Church.

Carriedo station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located along the district boundary of Santa Cruz and Quiapo in Manila. It is one of the five stations in the line to have its concourse area below the platform, the other four being Baclaran, Central Terminal, Balintawak, and Roosevelt.

Universidad de Manila, also referred to by its acronym UdM, is a public coeducational city government funded higher education institution in Manila, Philippines. It was founded in April 26, 1995 with the approval by Mayor Alfredo Lim of Manila City Ordinance (MCO) No. 7885 “An Ordinance Authorizing the City Government of Manila to Establish and Operate the Dalubhasaan ng Maynila (City College of Manila)". It offers both academic and technical-vocational courses and programs. Its Main Campus is located at the grounds of Mehan Gardens, Ermita in front of the Bonifacio Shrine (Kartilya ng Katipunan) and beside the Central Terminal station of LRT Line 1. It has a satellite Campus (UDM Annex) along Carlos Palanca Street in Santa Cruz.

The National Artist Pablo Antonio's postwar oeuvre, the Capitan Luis Gonzaga Building, built in 1953 at the corner of Carriedo Street and Rizal Avenue in Manila, Philippines, transfigured the modernist box into a building that was suited to the tropics by utilizing double sunshades. The concrete slab overhangs at both ceiling height and window sill height for every floor braced by staggered vertical fins of half-storey height. Curved bands of concrete horizontally traversed every floor. It serves as a protection for both sunlight and rain.

Natividad Building is a historic building along Escolta corner Tomas Pinpin, Binondo, Manila, Philippines. Designed by Philippine-born Spanish architect Fernando de la Cantera Blondeau, it is an outstanding example of beaux-arts architecture. It once housed the Philippine Insurance Commission. During World War II, the building was spared from destruction albeit suffered some damages.
