Pulteney Bridge is a bridge over the River Avon in Bath, England. It was completed by 1774, and connected the city with the land of the Pulteney family which it wished to develop. Designed by Robert Adam in a Palladian style, it is highly unusual in that it has shops built across its full span on both sides. It has been designated as a Grade I listed building.Within 20 years of its construction, alterations were made that expanded the shops and changed the façades. By the end of the 18th century, it had been damaged by floods, but was rebuilt to a similar design. Over the next century alterations to the shops included cantilevered extensions on the bridge's north face. In the 20th century, several schemes were carried out to preserve the bridge and partially return it to its original appearance, enhancing its appeal as a tourist attraction. The bridge is now 45 metres (148 ft) long and 18 metres (58 ft) wide. Although there have been plans to pedestrianise the bridge, it is still used by buses and taxis. The much photographed bridge and weir below are close to the centre of the city, a World Heritage Site, renowned for its Georgian architecture.

Johnstone Street in the Bathwick area of Bath, Somerset, England was designed in 1788 by Thomas Baldwin, with some of the buildings being completed around 1805-1810 by John Pinch the elder. Number 1 was built in 1794 with numbers 2 to 8 being completed around 1805, with numbers 9 to 15 being completed between 1794 and 1801.The terrace proves a consistent style of three storey houses, which complement the surrounding Georgian buildings and layout of Laura Place, Great Pulteney Street and Henrietta Street.William Pitt lived at number 15 in 1802.

The Empire Hotel in Bath, Somerset, England was built in 1901 and has been designated as a Grade II listed building. It is situated on Orange Grove close to both Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge. It was designed by the Bath City Architect Major Charles Edward Davis for the hotelier Alfred Holland and built from Bath Stone, on the site of the Athenaeum. It was described by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner as a ‘monstrosity and an unbelievable piece of pompous architecture’.The building occupies a large L-shaped block. It is six storeys high plus the octagonal corner tower. The front of the building onto Orange Grove has eight bays and the side overlooking the River Avon has nine bays.The architecture of the roof shows the three classes of people, a castle on the corner for upper class, a house for the middle classes and a cottage for the lower classes.During World War II it was used by the Admiralty as a postal sorting office and remained in their possession until the 1990s. In 1996 it was then refurbished and became apartments and a restaurant.

Henrietta Street in the Bathwick area of Bath, Somerset, England was built around 1785 by Thomas Baldwin. Numbers 1 to 35 were built together in a terrace with a consistent style of 3 storey houses. They complement the surrounding Georgian buildings and layout of Laura Place, Great Pulteney Street and Johnstone Street.

The Victoria Art Gallery is a public art museum in Bath, Somerset, England. It was opened in 1900 to commemorate Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee. It is a Grade II* listed building and houses over 1,500 objects of art including a collection of oil paintings from British artists dating from 1700 onwards. The ground floor was at one time a public library.

The Old Police Station is a Grade II listed building in Bath, Somerset, England. Completed in 1865, to a design by Charles Edward Davis, it stands in Orange Grove, adjacent (to the southwest) to Bath's Empire Hotel, although it pre-dates that building by around fifty years. The police station opened on 19 January 1866. A 19th-century archway connecting the building to the rear of the adjacent (to the southwest) Guildhall, in which the police station was formerly located, is also listed. The building, which contains a garage for one fire engine, is two storeys high and three bays wide. It became disused when the police station moved to Manvers Street in the 1970s. It became a restaurant in 1998. Today, the building is the home of Browns Bar & Brasserie.

Orange Grove is a park in Bath, Somerset, England. Situated on a roundabout, the park occupies the former churchyard of Bath Priory. Orange Grove became a public space on 1572 and was landscaped around 200 years later. Today, it is home to Alkmaar Garden, which was established after World War II to honour the link between the cities of Bath and Alkmaar in the Netherlands. In the centre of the park is an obelisk commemorating the Prince of Orange's visit to Bath in 1734. It was erected by Beau Nash. Orange Grove is also the name of the street bounding the park immediately to the north, on which stands the Old Police Station and the Empire Hotel.

Laura Place Bathwick, Bath, Somerset, England, consists of four blocks of houses around an irregular quadrangle at the end of Pulteney Bridge. It was built by Thomas Baldwin and John Eveleigh between 1788 and 1794.Numbers 4, 5 and 6 are combined with Numbers 1 to 7 Great Pulteney Street, and others with Henrietta Street.

The Parade Gardens is a grade II listed park in Bath, Somerset, England. The gardens are situated to the south of the Empire Hotel, Bath and 250 yards to the east of Bath Abbey.There is a small fee to enter Parade Gardens or residents with a Discovery Card have free access. There is also a cafe on site.

The Recreation Ground (commonly the Rec) is a large open space in the centre of Bath, England, next to the River Avon, which is available to be used by permission from the Recreation Ground Trust for recreational purposes by the public at large but particularly the people of Bath and surrounding areas.About a quarter of the Rec is leased to Bath Rugby during the rugby union season as a sports ground capable of holding 14,500 people. During the summer the rugby ground's temporary East Stand is removed to make way for cricket on a larger pitch. This cricket pitch is used for local contests and was used by Somerset County Cricket Club until 2011. Parts of the eastern area of the Rec are used by Bath Hockey Club, Bath Croquet Club, Bath Drama Club, Bath Quidditch Club and for some tennis courts. Pitches are available for amateur sports such as Football, Volleyball and Lacrosse. There is a cricket pavilion at the William Street entrance to the ground. The council-run Sports and Leisure Centre is located on the southern edge of the Rec, accessed via North Parade. In former years the Rec was subject to periodic flooding from the River Avon, but a flood alleviation scheme in the 1960s improved the flow of the river. However, the Rec remains part of the floodplain at risk of occasional flooding. The ground can still get very boggy after heavy rains.

The Corridor is one of the world's earliest retail arcades, designed by architect Henry Goodridge and built in 1825, in Bath, Somerset, England. The fashion for arranging shops in arcades arose in Paris in the late 18th Century. The Corridor followed the trend set by London's Burlington Arcade. The Grade II listed arcade has a glass roof. The High Street end has a Doric colonnade. Each end has marble columns.A musicians gallery, with a wrought iron balustrade and gilt lions heads and garlands, is in the centre of the arcade.Number 7 was the photographic studio of William Friese-Greene.
