Newmarket Hotel is a heritage-listed former hotel in Hamilton Hill, Western Australia. Located at the corner of Rockingham Road and Cockburn Road, it was built in 1912, and operated as a hotel until the late 1990s. It has sometimes been referred to as being in South Fremantle, and at other times, Hamilton Hill.The hotel was often chosen as a terminating point for cycling events. It was also named as a tram line extension point, and was a local focal point for the horse racing industry. The hotel was a filming location in the 1991 cult film Black Neon.Change in lease/management was regular during its operational years.After being vacant for 18 years, it was renovated and reopened in 2017 as Hamilton House, a dance studio for the Swan River Ballet school.

Fremantle College is an Independent Public secondary school in Beaconsfield, Western Australia, 2 kilometres (1 mi) south-east of the port city of Fremantle, and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south-west of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. It opened in 2018 following the closure of South Fremantle Senior High School and Hamilton Senior High School due to low enrolment numbers.

South Fremantle Senior High School (SFSHS) is a former comprehensive public co-educational high day school, that was located in Beaconsfield, 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) south-east of Fremantle in the south-western suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The school operated from 1967 until its closure in 2017. Plans to close the school and merge students with Hamilton Senior High School to form Fremantle College were announced in December 2014. The larger number of students would allow for more opportunities and subjects for students. The school was closed permanently at the end of the 2017 school year. Prior to its closure, the school's catchment area covered most of the City of Fremantle and, as at Semester 2, 2013, the school had an enrolment of 324 students between Year 8 and Year 12, 28 (8.8%) of whom were Indigenous Australians.

Beaconsfield is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Fremantle. It was named after a property of the same name in the area in the 1880s; the name was officially adopted from the post office on 1 August 1894. The name's origin is unknown, but it probably comes from the town in England or the Earl of Beaconsfield, Benjamin Disraeli, a former Conservative Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.Beaconsfield is predominantly a low to medium density residential suburb with extensive community facilities including Fremantle College, several primary schools, and an array of open space recreation reserves and local shops.

Hampton Buildings is a heritage listed building located at 2-8 Wray Avenue on the corner of South Terrace in Fremantle, Western Australia. It was one of many commercial buildings constructed in Fremantle during the gold boom period in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The structure is set on a triangular block with the corner facing South Terrace and the main frontage facing Wray Avenue. It is a single storey rendered masonry and iron commercial building in Victoria Georgian style that originally contained four separate shops. The walls are constructed of rendered masonry with a decorative rendered masonry parapet on the roof line. The parapet wall has a gable facing South Terrace with the inscription Hampton Buildings 1896 inscribed with stucco. Each of the four shop fronts has a large timber framed window facing the street but the internal walls have been removed between the first three shops creating one long interlinked space with the last shop remaining separate.

It was formerly the major hospital in its region; however, with the opening of Fiona Stanley Hospital in Murdoch on 3 February 2015, it was substantially downsized, with the closure of its emergency department and a range of other services being relocated to the new hospital.

Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour is a marina in Fremantle, Western Australia adjacent to the more recently constructed Challenger Harbour. It provides large sheltered mooring areas and wharf space for vessels up to 60 metres, refuelling facilities and support services to the Fremantle fishing industry.

Fremantle Oval, also known by naming rights sponsorship as Fremantle Community Bank Oval, is a stadium in the centre of Fremantle, Western Australia, located on Parry Street. It currently has a capacity of 17,500 with terracing and a members area holding 750, though capacity was capped at 10,000 for Fremantle AFLW games. Fremantle Oval was originally used for cricket, but in 1895 hosted its first game of Australian rules football and Australian Football quickly became the main attraction leading to the development of the ground. It is located between the Fremantle Hospital, Fremantle Markets and the Fremantle Prison. South Fremantle Football Club train and play their home WAFL matches at the ground and are one of the few sporting organisations in Western Australia to own their club rooms freehold, rather than on a long-term lease. Additionally, the oval is the primary home ground of the Fremantle Dockers women's team. The ground was also the training and administrative home of the Fremantle Football Club until February 2017. the ground has also hosted pre-season matches featuring Fremantle.
