Union is a village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wakefield, Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. It had a population of 196 at the 2020 census.Union has a separate ZIP code (03887) from the rest of the town of Wakefield.

Jones Brook is a 10.6-mile-long (17.1 km) stream in eastern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Branch River, which leads to the Salmon Falls River, part of the Piscataqua River watershed leading to the Atlantic Ocean. Jones Brook rises in the Moose Mountains, on the border between Brookfield and Middleton, New Hampshire, and flows southeast through Middleton. Upon entering Milton, the stream turns back to the north and joins the Branch River downstream from the village of Union.

The Plummer Homestead is a historic house museum at 1273 White Mountain Highway in Milton, New Hampshire. Built in the 1810s and repeatedly extended, it dates to the early settlement period of Milton, and is, along with the adjacent Plumer-Jones Farm, one of the oldest farm properties in the state. Both are now part of the New Hampshire Farm Museum. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The New Hampshire Farm Museum is a farm museum on White Mountain Highway (New Hampshire Route 125) in Milton, New Hampshire, United States. Three centuries of New Hampshire rural life are presented in the historic farmhouse. The museum includes a 104-foot-long (32 m) three-story great barn with collection of agricultural machinery, farm tools, sleighs and wagons. There are also live farm animals, a nature trail and a museum shop. The museum is located on the former Plumer-Jones Farm, a traditional series of connected buildings with farmhouse dating to the late 18th century and barns dating to the mid 19th century, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Lovell Lake is a 538-acre (2.18 km2) water body in Carroll County in eastern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Wakefield. The lake is both spring-fed and fed by small streams including Horse Brook. The outlet of the lake, located at the village of Sanbornville, is the beginning of the Branch River. From here, the Branch River flows through Milton where it joins the Salmon Falls River on the Maine-New Hampshire border. The Salmon Falls River empties into the tidal waters of the Piscataqua River northwest of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, then into the Gulf of Maine. Lovell Lake is defined as a "Tier 1" water body and is designated as "fully supporting" according to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. The Lovell Lake watershed covers 3,076 acres (1,244.8 ha). Its watershed is currently 64% forested, 14% developed, and contains 37% buildable area. The Lovell Lake shoreline is composed of primarily low density residential houses and camps (87%). The majority of these structures (68%) are within 50 feet (15 m) of the shoreline. Although the lake is designated as a high quality water lake, shoreline development and proximity of structures have led to increased polluted runoff that threatens the lake's water quality. Lovell Lake water quality has been measured since 1979 at station 1 and 1989 at station 2. This includes 19 years of secchi disk data (transparency), 19 years of phosphorus data, 16 years of chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) data, and 3 years of dissolved oxygen (DO) data. From this data, the median total phosphorus (TP) concentration in 2008 was 7.5 parts per billion (ppb) and mean secchi disk transparency was 6.3 m (20.7 ft). Several organizations are currently in place that aim to protect and improve the water quality of Lovell Lake. The Lovell Lake Association is dedicated to preserving the lake. Lovell Lake also has a courtesy boat inspection program run by the NH Lake Host Program that inspects over 500 boats annually. There is also a weed watchers program that searches the shores for invasive aquatic plants. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery and contains rainbow trout, smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, white perch, and walleye.

Shortridge Academy is a year-round residential secondary school in Milton, New Hampshire which employs the positive youth development model. It is a coeducational therapeutic school for teenagers.

Water from Sunrise Lake flows to the Cocheco River, part of the Piscataqua River watershed. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, brown bullhead, white perch, bluegill, and yellow perch.

The Wakefield Town Hall and Opera House is a historic municipal building at 2 High Street in the Sanbornville village of Wakefield, New Hampshire. Built in 1895, it is a prominent local example of Romanesque architecture, and has housed civic and social activities since its construction. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2002.
