Yeading Brook Meadows

Brook House Football Club is a football club based in Hayes, Greater London, England. Founded in 1974, they are currently members of the Combined Counties League Division One and play at Farm Park.

Barnhill Community High School, sometimes shortened to Barnhill, is a coeducational secondary school located in the Yeading area of the London Borough of Hillingdon, England. In 2012 the school converted to an academy.Its predecessor, Barnhill Secondary School, was originally opened in 1950, and celebrated 21 years in 1971. Barnhill Community High School replaced the old Barnhill Secondary Modern (converted to Comprehensive by Hillingdon Borough Council in 1974) School after it had been previously demolished. The new school was established in 1999 in response to growing need and immense pressure from the local community. It was the first Private Finance Initiative (PFI) school to be set up, but the second to open. In 2015, a new Executive Head, Tracey Hemming, was appointed.The school is part of a Multi-Academy Trust, the Barnhill Partnership, with Belmore Primary School.The school was inspected in 2012 and judged Good. In 2016 a short inspection was carried out and again the judgement was Good.In 2017, Preetmal Poonith, a mathematics teacher at the school, was awarded a Silver Pearson Teaching Award for Teacher of the Year in a Secondary School.

St Mary the Virgin Church is a partly medieval Grade II* listed flint church on Church Road in Hayes, Hillingdon. The central portion of the church, the chancel and the nave, was built in the 13th century, the north aisle in the 15th century (as was the tower), and the south aisle in the 16th century, along with the lychgate and the south porch.The lychgate and wall to the south are Hayes's entry in the Domesday Book (1086) makes no mention of a church or chapel, and the name of St Mary suggests a 12th-century dedication as it was at this time that church dedications in this name first appeared in England. Besides the church, the other main building in medieval villages was the manor house. The manor house formerly associated with the church was assigned to Canterbury Cathedral by Christian priest Warherdus as far back as 830 AD. The embossed roof of the nave reflects the Tudor period with emblems of the crucifixion and the arms of Henry and Aragon (the lands passed to Henry VIII as a consequence of the English Reformation). Victorian restorers donated a number of windows, and more recent additions include windows to Saints Anselm and Nicholas. The Coronation window is in the north aisle above the Triptych painted by the pre-Raphaelite Edward Arthur Fellowes Prynne. His brother George Fellowes Prynne carved the Reredos with St Anselm and St George in the niches. Edward and George Prynne are both buried in the churchyard.There is a splendid altar tomb of Sir Edward Fenner, a judge, and a monumental brass to Robert Lellee, who was rector in 1370, surrounded by some medieval floor tiles.Cherry Lane Cemetery on Shepiston Lane was founded in the mid-1930s to provide a new burial ground when the churchyard at St Mary's Church had run out of space.As a young boy Steve Priest (1948-2020), member of the rockband Sweet, sang in the choir of the church.

The Beck Theatre is a 600-seat theatre in Hayes, in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It was built in 1977 at a cost of £2.5 million.

The Norman Leddy Memorial Gardens in Hayes is one of Hillingdon Borough's designated gardens of excellence. In September 2010, the Gardens earned a gold award for Best London Small Park in the London in Bloom competition.The Gardens, which covers 1.5 hectares (3.7 acres), is situated about 200 metres (220 yd) south of the Uxbridge Road, at its junction with Grange Road.There are four entrances to the Gardens. The main one is situated at the southern end of the site in Wood End, and gives access into the main part of the Gardens.

Ten Acre Wood is a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in Yeading in the London Borough of Hillingdon, which is owned by Hillingdon Council and managed by the London Wildlife Trust (LWT). It is also part of the Yeading Brook Meadows Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC), which includes two neighbouring LNRs managed by the LWT, Gutteridge Wood and Meadows and Yeading Brook Meadows LNR.The site is composed of two areas of woodland adjoining at one corner. It is a hundred year old oak plantation with an underlayer of hawthorn and blackthorn. Yeading Brook runs through the wood, and it has areas of marsh and meadow. Birds include hobbies and kingfishers, and there are invertebrates such as Roesel's bush crickets, long winged coneheads and gatekeeper butterflies.The site adjoins Yeading Brook Meadows to the south across Charville Lane and the Golden Bridge across the brook. In the north of the wood a footpath leads west across the brook to Gutteridge Wood and Meadows.

The Open Air Theatre, Barra Hall Park, Hayes is a purpose-built outdoor theatre with concrete-step seating for up to 180 people. Originally built in 1951, the structure fell into disrepair and was rebuilt in steel in 2005.

Elthorne was a hundred (ancient subdivision) of the historic county of Middlesex, England.

Barra Hall Park is an 11.06-hectare (27.3-acre) formal park situated near the centre of Hayes in the ward of Townfield in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The park came into existence in December 1923. The main entrance to the park is off Freemans Lane. There are ten entrances all together, spread around the perimeter of the park.

Down Barns Moated Site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument in Northolt in the London Borough of Ealing. It is the site of a medieval manor house, which does not survive, but the moat does. It was probably in existence by 1388, and is thought to have been abandoned in the sixteenth century. Excavations were undertaken in the 1950s and 1960s, but the results are not known. Pottery previously excavated here was originally identified as Saxon, but now thought to be prehistoric.

Church Road was a 4,500-capacity football stadium Hayes, England – the home-ground of Hayes F.C., and latterly Hayes & Yeading United F.C. following the two clubs' merger in 2007.
