Spooner Row railway station

Spooner Row is a small village, and civil parish, in the English county of Norfolk. It is situated some 5 km (3.1 mi) south-west of the town of Wymondham and 20 km (12 mi) south-west of the city of Norwich. The village was within the civil parish of Wymondham before separating on 1 April 2019.Spooner Row railway station, in the village, is served by local services operated by Greater Anglia on the Breckland Line from Norwich to Cambridge. However, weekday services are limited to two morning trains to Norwich and one early evening train to Cambridge. On Saturdays, there is only one train to Norwich and the westbound service is extended to Stansted Airport. There is no service on Sundays. The station is a request stop.

The station is planned to be constructed just south of the adjacent Cemetery Lane level crossing close to the line's junction with the mainline Breckland Line. The proposed station site is near to the Breckland Line's Wymondham station, which is operated by Greater Anglia on the National Rail network, thus providing more convenient access for people wishing to visit the heritage railway than its current southern terminus, Wymondham Abbey.

Toll's Meadow, Wymondham is a 1.7-hectare (4.2-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Wymondham in Norfolk. It is owned by Wymondham Town Council and managed by Wymondham Town Council and Norfolk County Council.The River Tiffey runs through this site, which has wet meadow and woodland. There is a variety of small birds and mammals include muntjac and roe deer, bank voles and common shrews.There is access from Cemetery Lane and from London Road.

The station is managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates most of the services calling at the station. Some East Midlands Railway services also stop at Wymondham. Platform 2 has no disabled accessibility. Wymondham is also the junction of the Mid-Norfolk Railway, a heritage route to Dereham, although those services operate from a separate station named Wymondham Abbey which is approximately one mile from Wymondham. Wymondham was also once the junction of a branch line via Ashwellthorpe to Forncett.
