Strai

Torridal Church (Norwegian: Torridal kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Kristiansand Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Aukland, just south of the village of Mosby and just north of the village of Strai, on the west shore of the river Otra. It is the church for the Torridal parish which is part of the Kristiansand domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white church was built out of expanded clay aggregate in a rectangular design in 1978 using plans drawn up by the architect Alv Erikstad. The church seats about 215 people. The altarpiece is a tapestry by Else Marie Jakobsen from 1988. It represents the risen Christ. The church organ with 14 voices was created by H. Brink Hansen orgelfabrikk in 2002. The church bell was created by Olsen Nauen Bell Foundry in 2006 and has the inscription which means "The Lord is here calling for you".In 2011, the church was enlarged with space for a new church hall as well as offices.

Torridal is a V-shaped valley in Agder county, Norway. The valley passes through portions of the municipalities of Kristiansand and Vennesla in an area that was historically a part of the former Oddernes municipality. Today it includes areas north of the city center of Kristiansand on both riverbanks of the river Otra. The local name Torridalselva (meaning Torridal river) is commonly used for the river's lower course from Mosby to the sea. The valley includes the areas of Sødal, Skråstad, Lian, Hagen, and Glattetre on the east side of the river and Strai, Hommeren, Aukland, Mosby, and Høie on the west side. The districts of Espestøl, Hemmes, Mestad, Aurebekk, Rypestøl, and Kulia are also part of the valley, although they don't lie directly along the river. The Mosby and Strai areas are fairly densely populated, and the Torridal Church lies between those two villages. The Torridal sporting venue has facilities outdoors and indoors in Torridalshallen. Norwegian National Road 9 (Setesdalsveien) and the Sørlandet Line both run along the west side of the river Otra, through the Torridal valley. Norwegian County Road 1 ("Sødalssida") runs along the east bank of Otra.

The village is located on the western bank of the river Otra between the villages of Strai and Mosby. In 1978, the Torridal Church was built in Aukland. The Norwegian National Road 9 runs north-south through Aukland.

Mosby is a village and district in the Torridal valley in Kristiansand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village lies along the river Otra, between the villages of Aukland and Strai (to the south) and the municipal border with Vennesla to the north. Mosby's population in 1999 was 1,950, but since 2001 it has been considered to be a part of the urban area of Vennesla so separate village statistics are not tracked.

Norwegian County Road 405 (Fv405) is a Norwegian county road which runs between from the village of Engesland in Birkenes municipality in Agder county in the north to the junction with the Norwegian National Road 9 in the village of Mosby in Kristiansand municipality in the south. The road is 54.56 kilometres (33.90 mi) long. Prior to a 2010 government reform, the road was classified as a Norwegian national road.

It is located in the district of Hellemyr in the borough of Grim in the city of Kristiansand. It is the church for the Hellemyr parish which is part of the Kristiansand domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white church was constructed out of concrete and expanded clay aggregate. It was built in a rectangular design in 1988 using plans drawn up by the architect Arild Lauvland. The church seats about 220 people. The church was founded in 1988 to serve this area of the city. In 2002, the church was expanded to include several offices and other parish rooms.

The district of Tinnheia lies to the east, the district of Slettheia lies to the south and the district of Grim lies to the north. Hellemyr is the last district to drive through before exiting Kristiansand via the European route E39 highway. Hellemyr has one elementary school, and the junior high students attend Grim skole. Public transportation is available by bus, Nettbuss connects the district to the city centre in Kvadraturen. Buses from Hellemyr also connect to Tømmerstø. Hellemyr is mostly typical Norwegian residential suburb. Hellemyr Church is located in this district.

Hellemyrtoppen is a neighbourhood in the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Grim and in the district of Hellemyr. Hellemyrtoppen is located just north of the European route E39 highway. It is north of Rige, east of Vestheiene, and west of Fjellro.
