Detroit Catholic Central High School, commonly known as Catholic Central (CC), is a private, Catholic, all-male, college preparatory high school in Novi, Michigan, United States. Founded in 1928 in Detroit, Michigan by the Archdiocese of Detroit, the school is operated by the Congregation of St. Basil. The school was originally located on Harper Avenue in Detroit with an enrollment of 280 students; the school has made several moves in its history and now has an enrollment of over 1,000 students at its 60-acre (240,000 m2) campus in Novi. Detroit Catholic Central is currently ranked as the 4th best Catholic High School in the State of Michigan.

Boys' Bowl, is a yearly high school match between Detroit Catholic Central High School Shamrocks and another Catholic school under the Archdiocese of Detroit. It is usually the most hyped football event for Catholic Central, if not necessarily the most important, and referred to as the "Homecoming" for the Varsity football team. CC also has its annual Boys Bowl mass, breakfast, and Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony that weekend as well, which is hosted by the CC Alumni Association Committees.

The Ford Wixom Assembly Plant was a Ford Motor Company manufacturing facility in Wixom, Michigan, with production reaching 6,648,806 over the fifty years it was operational (1957–2007).

Wixom Performance Build Center (also called PBC) is a 100,000 square feet General Motors high performance engine factory in Wixom, Michigan.

South Lyon East High School is a public high school in Lyon Township, Michigan in Metro Detroit, near South Lyon. It is a part of South Lyon Community Schools and the Oakland Schools intermediate school district. It is accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The school was built to compensate for the overcrowding at South Lyon High School. It opened in September 2007. Since then, the school has attained a population of a little over a thousand students. These students participate in a variety of clubs and curriculares, including band, choir, theater, NHS, and others, on top of East’s sports teams.

Wixom ( WICK-səm) is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A northwestern suburb of Detroit, Wixom is located roughly 30 miles (48.3 km) from downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 17,193.The city was home to the now-demolished Wixom Assembly Plant, which operated from 1957–2007. The city is also home to several production and manufacturing businesses, including Trijicon, Discraft, NGK, Rockwell Medical and Majic Window.

The Suburban Collection Showplace is a convention center in Novi, Michigan. Located off Interstate 96, about 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Detroit, it is the second-largest convention center in Metro Detroit (after Huntington Place). It is best known as the current location of the Michigan State Fair.

The Motor City Comic Con is a fan convention held in Novi, Michigan, United States, at the Suburban Collection Showplace. It is traditionally a three-day event (Friday through Sunday), usually held in May of each year. The Motor City Comic Con was founded in 1989 by comics retailer Michael Goldman. Though it primarily focuses on comic books, the convention features a large range of pop culture elements, such as film actors, professional wrestling, science fiction/fantasy, film/television, animation, anime, manga, toys, horror, collectible card games, video games, webcomics, and fantasy novels. Along with panels, seminars, and workshops with comic book professionals, there are previews of upcoming feature films, portfolio review sessions with top comic book and video game companies, and such evening events as a costume contest. Traditional events include gaming and hours of other programming on all aspects of comic books and pop culture. The Motor City Comic Con features a large floorspace for exhibitors. These include media companies such as movie studios and TV networks, as well as comic-book dealers and collectibles merchants. Like most comics conventions, the show includes an autograph area, as well as the Artists' Alley where comics artists can sign autographs and sell or do free sketches. Despite the name, Artists' Alley can include writers and even glamour models.

WCXI (1160 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Fenton, Michigan. The station broadcasts to Metro Detroit and the Flint area. It is owned by the Birach Broadcasting Corporation and it airs a Christian talk and teaching radio format. By day, WCXI is powered at 15,000 watts. It uses a directional antenna with a three-tower array. But 1160 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for KSL in Salt Lake City, the dominant Class A station. To protect KSL from interference, WCXI must greatly reduce power at night to 400 watts. The transmitter is off North Maple Avenue in Milford Charter Township, Michigan.

WPON (1460 AM) is a radio station in the Detroit market, broadcasting from a 6-tower array in Walled Lake, Michigan. WPON was founded in September 1954, with studios in Pontiac, Michigan, and towers located at the corner of Square Lake Road and Telegraph Road in neighboring Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Walled Lake Western High School (also known as "Walled Lake Western," "Western," or "WLW"), is a public high school of the Walled Lake Consolidated School District, located in Commerce Township, Michigan in Greater Detroit. The school serves portions of the township, most of Walled Lake, most of Wixom and portions of Novi.
