The Road and Coastal Administration (Icelandic: Vegagerðin [ˈvɛːɣaˌcɛrðɪn]) is a state run institution in Iceland whose purpose is to construct and maintain roads and infrastructure (land and sea) in rural areas and between urban areas. Formerly belonging to the Ministry of the Interior, it is now part of the Ministry of Infrastructure (until November 2021 named Ministry of Transport and Local Government). Vegagerðin is the legal owner of the roads and has the authority to execute construction of infrastructures on demand from the ministry.

The Icelandic Museum of Design and Applied Art (Icelandic: Hönnunarsafn Íslands) is a museum of product and furniture design in the town Garðabær, near Reykjavík in Iceland. The collection was started in 1998, but the museum did not open until 2010. It has a permanent exhibition consisting mainly of Scandinavian design objects of the last hundred years. It also holds events and temporary exhibitions.Most of the collection was acquired through donations.

The International School of Iceland (abbreviated ISI; official name in Icelandic: Alþjóðaskólinn á Íslandi) is a private, non-profit school in Garðabær, Iceland. It is the only international school in the Reykjavík area of Iceland, first established in 1960 as the American Embassy School. ISI has received support in the form of grants, training and consultation from the Office of Overseas Schools in Washington, D.C. since the 1960s.

Kaplakriki is a multi-purpose stadium in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar. The stadium holds over 6,000 spectators and has offers 3050 seats. The plan for the stadium development is to expand the seating capacity to over 4,000 seats taking the maximum capacity to over 7,000. Long-term plans though are to make the stadium an all-seater, full square stadium with around 6,000 seats and roofs over the stands. Kaplakriki Stadium is a part of multi-sport complex which besides a state-of-the-art stadium, includes a multi functional sports arena which mainly is used for handball and as a concert venue. The Handball arena holds over 3,000 spectators in seats. The arena was one of the venues for the 1995 World Men's Handball Championship in Handball and has hosted several national games. A state-of-the-art track and field arena was opened in 2014 and will serve as an all season facility and an expansion to the outdoor track and field course located at Kaplakriki complex. Kaplakriki is also a large training area which includes an indoor-football facility called Risinn (The Giant) although it is not as big as Fífan or Egilshöllin, which are other indoor football facilities located in Kópavogur and Reykjavík. In the 2016 league season, FH drew an average home attendance of 1,541, the highest in the league.

Kópavogskirkja (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈkʰouːpaˌvɔksˌcʰɪr̥ca]) is a church in Kópavogur, Iceland. It is located on Borgarholt hill at the top of Kársnes and offers a great view over Kópavogur, Reykjavík and surrounding area.Work on it began in 1958 and it was opened on December 16, 1963. The architectural style of Kópavogskirkja is modernist. Its architecture is unusual, it is the cross section of two wide arches. A curved arch protrudes in each direction with smaller arches extending below. Its profile is prominent in the Kópavogur town seal. Architect Hörður Bjarnason together with Ragnar Emilsson designed this church. The church attracts the attention of both Icelanders and foreign tourists. The altarpiece in the church was set up in 1990 and is by artist Steinunni Þórarinsdóttir. Artist Barbara Árnason (1911–1975) designed various pictures that are in the church. Sculptor Gerður Helgadóttir (1928–1975) designed a sculptor.

Kórinn (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈkʰouːrɪn]) is an indoor multipurpose auditorium located in Kópavogur and built in 2007. It includes an indoor football stadium which meets all the international standards set by the International Football Association FIFA. The auditorium covers an area of 14,457 m2 and has a seating capacity of 2000 spectators plus an additional 50 honor places. The auditorium is designed to accommodate concert acoustics and has a total standing capacity of up to 19,000 visitors. Canadian recording artist, singer-songwriter Justin Bieber performed 2 sold-out shows at the arena on September 8 and 9, 2016 as a part of his Purpose World Tour.

Kópavogur (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈkʰouːpaˌvɔːɣʏr̥]) is a town in Iceland that is the country's second largest municipality by population. It lies immediately south of Reykjavík and is part of the Capital Region. The name literally means seal pup inlet. The town seal contains the profile of the church Kópavogskirkja with a seal pup underneath. Kópavogur is largely made up of residential areas, but has commercial areas and much industrial activity as well. The tallest building in Iceland, the Smáratorg Tower, is located in central Kópavogur.

Hafnarfjordur Free Church (Icelandic: Fríkirkjan í Hafnarfirði) is a church in the Free Lutheran congregation of Iceland, located in Hafnarfjordur. The church was founded on 22 April 1913. It's Iceland's third largest religious body, after the Reykjavik Free Church and the Church of Iceland.Sr. Einar Eyjólfsson has been the church priest since 1984, accompanied by another priest, sr. Sigríður Kristín Helgadóttir, since 2000.

Hafnarborg, The Hafnarfjördur Centre of Culture and Fine Art, is a public art museum located in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. It was opened in May 1988 but the foundation for the institution was laid in 1983 when Dr. Sverrir Magnússon and his wife, Ingibjörg Sigurjónsdóttir donated their house along with a substantial collection of art and books to Hafnarfjörður on the seventy-fifth anniversary of the incorporation of the town. Hafnarborg exhibits works by leading Icelandic and international artists and the exhibition program displays both contemporary and established artists from the 20th century. Hafnarborg is located at Strandgata 34 in the downtown of Hafnarfjörður, Iceland and it is easily accessible by bus number 1 from Iceland's capital city Reykjavik.

Nauthólsvík (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈnœitˌhoulsˌviːk], "bull hill bay") is a Seaside resort and a small neighbourhood in Reykjavík, the capital city of Iceland, about 900 metres (3,000 ft) from Perlan. It has a beach with an artificial hot spring – hot water is pumped into a man-made lagoon. The temperature of the ocean is usually about 12 to 16 °C (54 to 61 °F) during the summer and drops down to about −2 °C (28 °F) in the winter. The area inside the cove is usually a few degrees warmer than the ocean. The temperature of the hot tub is pretty consistent around 38.5 °C (101.3 °F) with the second hot tub being a lot cooler. The service centre also sells beverages and snacks.Reykjavík University is located in Nauthólsvík in a new building, opened in 2010.

Hof Ásatrúarfélagsins is a religious building under construction in Reykjavík, Iceland. When finished it will be used by the Heathen organization Ásatrúarfélagið for religious ceremonies, concerts, exhibitions and administrative work. It is Iceland's first major hof to the Norse gods since the Viking Age. It is located on the southern slope of the hill Öskjuhlíð, close to Reykjavík University. The project has been under development since 2005, but has been delayed several times because of the 2008–2011 Icelandic financial crisis and problems with the design. It has been under construction since 2015. As of 2022, the building's office part was operational but the social part was still unfinished.
