Peak Mountain, also called Copper Mountain, est. 730 feet (220 m), is a traprock mountain located in East Granby, Connecticut, 6 miles (10 km) south of the Massachusetts border and 6 miles west of the Connecticut River. It is part of the narrow, linear Metacomet Ridge that extends from Long Island Sound near New Haven, Connecticut, north through the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts to the Vermont border. Peak Mountain is known for its expansive views from 200 feet (61 m) high cliffs overlooking the historic Old Newgate Prison, Congamond Lake, and the Salmon Brook Valley of north-central Connecticut. The mountain is also known for its microclimate ecosystems, rare plant communities, and as a seasonal raptor migration path. It is traversed by the 51-mile (82 km) Metacomet Trail.

Viets' Tavern is an 18th-century tavern on Newgate Road, directly across the street from the Old Newgate Prison State Historical Site in East Granby, Connecticut. The building was home for many years to the prison warden, who also operated it as a tavern. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Old New-Gate Prison is a former prison and mine site on New-Gate Road in East Granby, Connecticut. It is now operated by the state of Connecticut as the Old New-Gate Prison & Copper Mine Archaeological Preserve. Previously closed for restoration since 2009, it was re-opened on July 14, 2018. The site includes a colonial-era copper mine, which visitors are able to explore through a guided tour, and the remains of the state's first official prison, which was used between 1776 and 1782 to house prisoners of war from the American Revolutionary War. The site was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1972.

The Lewis-Zukowski House is a historic house at 1095 South Grand Street in Suffield, Connecticut. Built in 1781, it is rare in the town as an 18th-century residence built out of brick, accompanied by a mid-19th century barn. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The East Granby Historic District encompasses a predominantly rural and agricultural area of the town of East Granby, Connecticut. Extending northward from the town center and covering some two square miles, it includes one of the state's highest concentrations of surviving 18th and early 19th-century farmsteads, and a relatively little-altered landscape. It is part of the narrow, linear Metacomet Ridge that extends from Long Island Sound near New Haven, Connecticut, north through the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts to the Vermont border. The southern edge of the ridge plunges nearly 200 vertical feet (61 m) into the Tariffville Gorge. The ridge is known for its rugged topography, unique microclimate ecosystems, rare plant communities, and as a seasonal raptor migration path. It is traversed by the 51-mile (82 km) Metacomet Trail.

East Granby High School is the smallest public high school in Connecticut. The East Granby school district is located in north central Connecticut in close proximity to Bradley International Airport. East Granby provides a comprehensive education to 900 students in four distinctive school settings. Classified by the Connecticut State Department of Education as a town in Demographic Reference Group "D", East Granby performs well on state assessments at all levels. Manitook Mountain, also called Manituck Mountain, 638 feet (194 m), is a 1.6-mile (2.6 km) long traprock mountain ridge located between the Berkshires and the Connecticut River Valley in north-central Connecticut. It is an outlying ridge belonging to the narrow, linear Metacomet Ridge that extends from Long Island Sound near New Haven, Connecticut, north through the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts to the Vermont border. Manitook Mountain is known for its ledges and microclimate ecosystems. The mountain has no official trail.

Salmon Brook is the name of a census-designated place (CDP) corresponding to the village of Granby, the primary settlement of the town of Granby, Connecticut, in Hartford County. The population of the CDP was 2,324 as of the 2010 census.

The New England Air Museum (NEAM) is an American aerospace museum located adjacent to Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The museum consists of three display hangars with additional storage and restoration hangars. Its collections include aircraft ranging from early flying machines to supersonic jets, as well as engines, and other pieces of flight-related equipment. Significant aircraft include the Silas Brooks balloon basket - the oldest surviving American-built aircraft the Sikorsky VS-44A - the sole remaining American-built commercial trans-oceanic four-engine flying boat the Goodyear ZNPK-28 Blimp Control Car - one of only two surviving K-class control cars in the world. The museum library has approximately 6,000 aviation books, approximately 20,000 periodicals, approximately 10,000 technical manuals, approximately 21,000 photographs, nearly 8,000 slides, over 200 pieces of artwork, over 1,200 prints, and approximately 500 engineering drawing and blueprints. The mission of the New England Air Museum is to present the story of aviation, the human genius that made it possible and the profound effects that it has had on the way in which we live.
