Bad Dürkheim (German pronunciation: [ˌbaːt ˈdʏʁkhaɪm]) is a district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The Bad Dürkheim lift (German: Bad Dürkheimer Gondelbahn) was a gondola lift located in Bad Dürkheim (in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate). From 1973 on, it linked the Wurstmarkt in the city centre with the Teufelsstein in the Haardt Mountains, situated to the northwest of the lower station. Set down on eight pillars, the cableway bridged a distance of 1,270 metres at a height difference of 165 metres, featuring 43 small cabins. Service on the gondola lift was abandoned in 1981, when some residents denied the right to let their estates be crossed. The owner acquired new easements in 1999, theoretically allowing for the cable car to run again. However, the summit station and a large number of cabins burnt out in a 2000 arson attack. As a result of the arson, the pillars were removed in 2005. In December 2006, the state of Rhineland-Palatinate approved the reconstruction of the system. The current owner expected it to be fully operational by 2008.

The Wurstmarkt (literally: Sausage market) in the spa town of Bad Dürkheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany is the world's biggest wine festival with over 600,000 visitors each year. It is held annually on the second and third weekend of September. The first Wurstmarkt - under a different name - was held in the year 1417. It takes place in the middle of the town, outside the Giant Cask (Dürkheimer Riesenfass) - the largest wine barrel in the world, which also houses a restaurant. The festival is reminiscent of the common Weihnachtsmarkt, with fairground rides and many food stalls being temporarily installed for the event. They eat all kinds of sausages at the “Wurstmarkt” including Bratwurst. Wurstmarkt went on virtually in 2020–21, but went on hiatus in 1915-18 & 1940–45.

The Teufelsstein in the Haardt mountains, near the Palatine county town of Bad Dürkheim in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, is a hill 317 m above sea level (NN). On its domed summit is a monolith of the same name (which means "Devil's Rock"). Traces of human activity on the rock indicate that it acted as a cult object in former times.

The Giant Cask or Giant Barrel (German: Riesenfass, locally just Fass or, in the local Palatine dialect, the Därgemer Fass), is a tourist attraction in the Palatine spa and district town of Bad Dürkheim in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The wine barrel has a diameter of 13.5 metres, a volume of about 1,700,000 litres or 1,700 m³ and is thus the largest cask in the world. However, it is not used for the storage of wine, but houses a restaurant.

The Kriemhildenstuhl, more rarely Krimhildenstuhl (short i), in the forests around the Palatine county town of Bad Dürkheim in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, is an old Roman quarry, which was worked by the 22nd Legion of the Roman Army, who were stationed in Mogontiacum (Mainz) around 200 A. D.The site has been designated as an area monument (Denkmalzone) and is owned by the Drachenfels Club.
