Point Comfort (Harrisville, New Hampshire)

The Acre is a historic house at the corner of Main Street and Dublin Road in Harrisville, New Hampshire. Built about 1880 by the Cheshire Mill Company, it is a good example of period worker housing constructed by the company for itinerant workers. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Skatutakee Lake is a 236-acre (0.96 km2) water body located in Cheshire County in southwestern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Harrisville. Water from Skatutakee Lake flows via Nubanusit Brook to the Contoocook River in Peterborough and ultimately to the Merrimack River. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, northern pike, and black crappie.

The Harrisville Rural District in Harrisville, New Hampshire was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The district encompasses a large area in the central southern part of the town, where much of its early development took place. Its westernmost public point is the corner of Mason and Macveagh Roads, and it extends eastward from there, encompassing properties that abut Mason, Venable, and New Harrisville Roads south to the town line with Dublin. Further east it encompasses properties on Bonds Corner Road between Eastview and Lampman Roads, as well as some property on the north side of Lampman Road. The district includes existing houses and outbuildings as well as foundational and archaeological remnants of previous early settlement structures. A portion of the district along New Harrisville and Venable Roads is overlaid by the Beech Hill Summer Home District.Harrisville was laid out as part of Dublin in 1750, with an initial survey laying out 220 lots. All or part of sixteen of the first lots to be settled are included in the district, and represent the largest concentration of arable land in the town. Early property divisions are still largely marked by roads (either actively used or abandoned), stone walls, and mature tree plantings. This area began as a subsistence farming area, but developed in the 19th century as a supply center for the growing mill village in the center of Harrisville. The farms in this district supplied perishable farm products for the village residents and mill workers, sheep wool for the mills to process, and lumber for construction and the manufacture of wood products. These uses declined in the early 20th century, with the economic decline partially offset by the rise of summer country estates in the area.

Harrisville Historic District is a well-preserved historic New England mill village located in the southwest part of New Hampshire. It consists of about 200 acres (0.81 km2) and about 135 structures. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977.The district is located about 10 miles (16 km) east of Keene, New Hampshire, then 3 miles (4.8 km) north on Harrisville-Dublin Road from New Hampshire Route 101.

Harrisville is a town in Cheshire County, New Hampshire, United States. Besides the town center, it also includes the villages of Chesham and Eastview. The population of the town was 984 at the 2020 census.It is a preserved 19th-century mill town located in the Monadnock region of southern New Hampshire. There are nine bodies of water in the town, many back roads and trails to explore, and two original train depots at Harrisville and Chesham.

Harrisville Pond is a 138-acre (0.56 km2) water body located in Cheshire County in southwestern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Harrisville. It is one of many lakes and ponds along Nubanusit Brook, a tributary of the Contoocook River. Water from Nubanusit Lake flows via the Great Meadows into the pond on the north side and out of the pond at two dams on the south side. One dam allows the level of the pond to be raised or lowered and also adjusts the flow through the mills that span that part of the outlet, while the other dam is made of large stones and sandbags. The village of Harrisville is located at the outlet of the pond. The pond is warm water and contains largemouth and smallmouth bass, Eastern chain pickerel, brown bullhead, black crappie and bluegill.

The Raubold House is a historic house on Chesham Road in Harrisville, New Hampshire. Completed in 1901, it is a good example of a vernacular house built for immigrant mill workers. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Persia Beal House is a historic house at 797 Chesham Road in Harrisville, New Hampshire. It is now the Harrisville Inn. Built about 1842, it is one of the best-preserved 19th century connected farmsteads in the town. The property is also notable for its association with Arthur E. Childs, who purchased the property to serve as the estate farm for his nearby Aldworth Manor summer estate. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Asa Morse Farm, also known as the Friendly Farm, is a historic farmstead on New Hampshire Route 101 in Dublin, New Hampshire. The main farmhouse, built in 1926 on the foundations of an early 19th-century house, is a good example of Colonial Revival architecture, built during Dublin's heyday as a summer retreat. The farmstead was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Fasnacloich is a historic country estate in Harrisville, New Hampshire. Built in 1911 and expanded in 1916–17, the estate is one of the most sophisticated and elaborate summer estates built in the Harrisville-Dublin area during its heyday as a summer resort area. The estate is located off MacVeagh Road, south of its junction with Mason Road. Its builders were Charles MacVeagh and Fanny Davenport Rogers MacVeagh. He is notable for being United States Ambassador to Japan, and they were the parents of diplomat Lincoln MacVeagh. The estate was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Dublin Pond or Dublin Lake is a 236-acre (0.96 km2) water body located in Cheshire County in southwestern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Dublin. The pond lies at an elevation of 1,480 feet (451 m) above sea level, near the height of land between the Connecticut River/Long Island Sound watershed to the west and the Merrimack River/Gulf of Maine watershed to the east.

Beech Hill is a historic former summer estate off New Harrisville Road in Dublin, New Hampshire. The centerpiece of the estate, and its only major surviving element, is a large Georgian Revival mansion with hip roof and wide projecting eaves, which has views of the surrounding area. The mansion was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It remains in private hands, but most of the surrounding estate is now local conservation land, with public hiking trails.
