Tomoka State Park

Addison Blockhouse Historic State Park is a state park located in Volusia County, Florida. It features the Addison Blockhouse, a small coquina rock ruin that was on a 19th-century plantation and served as a kitchen as well as a fort.To preserve its cultural heritage, the site is not open to the public. The park is accessible by boat going across the Tomoka River.

Ormond-by-the-Sea is a census-designated place and an unincorporated town in Volusia County, Florida, United States. The population was 7,312 as of the 2020 census, a decrease from 7,406 in the 2010 census.

Nocoroco is the site of a Timucuan village located on the Tomoka River, in Tomoka State Park. The park is located two or three miles north of Ormond Beach, Florida on North Beach Street.

Mosquito County (also labeled on maps as Musquito County) is the historic name of an early county that once comprised most of the eastern part of Florida. Its land included all of present-day Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Marion, Martin, Seminole, Osceola, Orange, Lake, Polk and Palm Beach counties. Mosquito County was disbanded in 1844.

The Tomoka River is a north-flowing river in Volusia County, Florida, United States. It drains an area of about 110 square miles (280 km2) and has a length of 19.6 miles (31.5 km).

The Hammocks is a historic site in Ormond Beach, Florida, United States. It is located at 311 John Anderson Highway. On September 5, 1989, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Ormond Beach is a city in Volusia County, Florida, United States. The population was 43,080 at the 2020 census. Ormond Beach lies directly north of Daytona Beach and is a principal city of the Deltona–Daytona Beach–Ormond Beach, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is known as the birthplace of speed, as early adopters of motorized cars flocked to its hard-packed beaches for yearlong entertainment, since paved roads were not yet commonplace. Ormond Beach lies in Central Eastern Florida.

The following buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Historic Winter Residences of Ormond Beach, 1878-1925 Multiple Property Submission (or MPS).

The Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School umpires for professional baseball is an independent umpire training program recognized by the minor leagues and major leagues. It is located in Ormond Beach, Florida. It runs for five weeks each early January through early February. The school is open to both men and women; the only woman ever to work a Major League Baseball (MLB) spring training game, Pam Postema, graduated from the school, as have a number of other female professional umpires. The school was previously known as the Bill McGowan School for Umpires and the Al Somers Umpire School.

The Dix House is a historic home in Ormond Beach, Florida, United States. On September 6, 1989, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The Dix house was originally built by Colonel Dix for his two sisters. The second floor of the Dix House was built open and used extensively for a wide variety of purposes including an early wedding hall and meeting place. The second floor of the Dix House was called, "Dix Hall" was the site that the colony of New Britain chose to become the City of Ormond on April 22, 1880. More recently the Dix House suffered extensive damage in the hurricanes that visited the area in 2004. In 2007–2008, the home was extensively renovated under the guidance of the historical society to create a period accurate home, with modern amenities. It now has five bedrooms (each with a private bath) and an elevator. The home was purchased in 2016 by Chobee and Becky Ebbets, long time residents of Ormond Beach.

Rowallan is a historic site in Ormond Beach, Florida, United States. It is located at 253 John Anderson Highway. On October 6, 1988, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Ormond Yacht Club building is a historic site in Ormond Beach, Florida, United States. The organization was chartered on February 10, 1910, and its constitution stated, "The object of the club shall be to increase the sociability and general up-building of the town of Ormond and to promote boating in its broadest sense,"It is located at 63 North Beach Street, and was built in 1910 on the Halifax River. The structure is supported by a foundation of concrete piers with wooden posts. A 147-foot walkway connects the structure to the river's western shore. It is a 2-story frame vernacular wooden structure with 1,734 square feet. Its hip roof has a medium pitch (almost pyramidal in appearance). A walkway and boathouse once extended from the clubhouse further into the Halifax River, but these structures were destroyed by a storm and never rebuilt.
