Garden City, Flintshire

MoD Sealand (formerly RAF Sealand), is a Ministry of Defence installation in Flintshire, in the northeast corner of Wales, close to the border with England. It is a former Royal Air Force station, active between 1916 and 2006. Under defence cuts announced in 2004 RAF Sealand was completely closed in April 2006. All remaining RAF units were moved to RAF Leeming, and the site is now operated as a tri-service MoD installation.

The Jubilee Bridge (also known as the Blue Bridge) is a double leaf rolling bascule bridge which spans the River Dee at Queensferry, Wales.

Sealand was the final station on the former Chester & Connah's Quay Railway between Chester Northgate and Hawarden Bridge. Services also passed through this station before joining the North Wales and Liverpool Railway. Located 200 metres (660 ft) west of the A550 near RAF Sealand, the station was just before a triangular junction at Dee marshes which controlled rail services from North Wales, Liverpool and Cheshire.

Queensferry railway station was a railway station located in Queensferry, Flintshire, Wales on the south bank of the canalised section of the River Dee.

Queensferry (Welsh: Fferi Buddug / Fferi Isaf) is a town and community in Flintshire, Wales, lying on the River Dee near the border. The community includes the village of Sandycroft. It is between Connah's Quay, Shotton and Saltney Ferry. Queensferry is also part of the wider Deeside conurbation.

Deeside Leisure Centre is a sports centre located in Queensferry, Flintshire. Its facilities include Deeside Ice Rink (an Olympic-sized inline hockey rink), badminton courts, and squash courts. The ice rink is the National Centre for Ice Sports in Wales and is home to the Deeside Dragons, the Flintshire Phantoms and the Deeside Demons ice hockey teams. There has also been a new indoor skate park and gym added to the Leisure Centre.

John Summers & Sons Ltd was a major United Kingdom iron and steel producer, latterly based on the Dee Estuary at Shotton, Flintshire. The company was absorbed into British Steel Corporation in 1967; British Steel became Corus in 1999 and this company was taken over by Tata Steel in 2007.

Sandycroft is a village in Flintshire, Wales, approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Queensferry and 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Chester, on the B5129 road between Queensferry and Broughton. The community population taken at the 2011 census was 6,724.
