Sendero metro station

Santiago Tapia is one of the Metro stations of the Monterrey Metro line 2. It is located in the north of the Mexican city of San Nicolás de los Garza and it was opened on 1 October 2008 as part of the extension of the line from Universidad and Sendero.This metro station bears the name of the revolutionary men born in 1820 and is located over the street of the same name.

The San Nicolás Station (Spanish: Estación San Nicolás) is a metro station along Line 2 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located near the IMSS Zone Hospital No. 6. The station was opened on 1 October 2008 as part of the extension of the line from Universidad and Sendero. It is an elevated station built into the median of Mexican Federal Highway 85 where it intersects Benito Juárez Avenue. The station's original name was to be Juárez, but was changed to San Nicolás because of its location in the center of the city of San Nicolás de los Garza. The logo for the station depicts the church of the namesake Iglesia San Nicolás Tolentino.

The 4th federal electoral district of Nuevo León (Spanish: Distrito electoral federal 04 de Nuevo León) is one of the 300 electoral districts into which Mexico is divided for elections to the federal Chamber of Deputies and one of 14 such districts in the state of Nuevo León. It elects one deputy to the lower house of Congress for each three-year legislative session by means of the first-past-the-post system. Votes cast in the district also count towards the calculation of proportional representation ("plurinominal") deputies elected from the second region. The current member for the district, elected in the 2024 general election, is Lilia Olivares Castañeda of the National Action Party (PAN).

San Nicolás de los Garza, sometimes known only as San Nicolás, is a city and coextensive municipality in the Mexican state of Nuevo León that is part of the Monterrey metropolitan area. It has become primarily a city for residences and family houses, although it still has several factories that tend to relocate to the periphery of the metropolitan area. It is the third-largest city in the state, behind Monterrey and Guadalupe. It houses the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Autonomous University of Nuevo León), one of the most prestigious public schools in Mexico and Latin America. San Nicolás, although less populated than Monterrey, has the higher population density.

Colegio Princeton del Sur S.C., which operated as Colegio Princeton de México, was a private school in Mexico City. It had its kindergarten and primary school campuses in Jardines del Pedregal, Álvaro Obregón, and its junior and senior high school (secundaria y bachillerato) campus in Heroes de Padierna, Tlalpan. It had no affiliation nor any accreditation from Princeton University and that university's board of trustees.Katia Arakelian established the school in the 1980s. The first campus was the Av. de las Fuentes 218 building.It closed on March 11, 2020.

The Anáhuac Station (Spanish: Estación Anáhuac) is part of the expansion of Line 2 of the Monterrey Metro. This station was planned to be a hub for the "Transmetro" BRT program, but those plans were later scrapped. This station serves the San Nicolás centre and the Anahuác neighborhood, from which the station takes its name. It is accessible for people with disabilities. Its logo represents the tower of the House of Culture La Pérgola, which is representative of the neighborhood. The station was opened on 1 October 2008 as part of the extension of the line from Universidad and Sendero.

The Autonomous University of Nuevo León (Spanish: Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, UANL) is a public university with seven campuses across the northern Mexican state of Nuevo León. Founded as University of Nuevo León on 25 September 1933, it is the third largest public university in Mexico in terms of student population and the most important institution of higher learning in Northeastern Mexico, which offers the highest number of academic programs. It is also the oldest university in the state, it is currently headquartered in San Nicolás de los Garza, a suburb of Monterrey.The UANL has seven distinct campuses: the Main Campus, which houses the Administration Building, Colleges of Law, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Public Accounting and Philosophy, amongst others, as well as the Football Stadium, and other sport facilities. Other campuses include the Health Sciences Campus, the Mederos Humanities and Fine Arts campus, the Marin Agronomy Center, the Escobedo Agricultural Sciences Campus, the Linares Earth Sciences, and Forestry campus, as well as the Sabinas Hidalgo facilities, where extensions of the Colleges of Law, and Business are housed.The institution counts with 84 Libraries with a total of 2,238,000 Library volumes. It has 27 research facilities with 438 national researchers, 16 academic journals, 9 main campus bookstores, 25 student computer centers and 53 cafeterias.The university has been ranked by various organizations as one of the best public universities in Mexico and Latin America, it has been ranked fourth place in a publication of the Best Universities Of Mexico 2014 by the Rankia Organization in Mexico, and is ranked as one of the 10 most recognized universities in Mexico by a number of organizations like QS World University Rankings and the Mexican journal "El Universal".

Estadio Gaspar Mass is an artificial turf stadium in San Nicolás de los Garza, Mexico, a city in the Monterrey metropolitan area. It is primarily used for American football and is the home field for the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) Auténticos Tigres. It has a seating capacity of approximately 16,000.

The Universidad Station (Spanish: Estación Universidad) is a station on Line 2 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located in the Alfonso Reyes Avenue. This station is next to the campus of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL – from which it takes its name), and it sees heavy traffic of students on a daily basis. The station is also the nearest to the Estadio Universitario, the home venue of the UANL Tigres. It is accessible for people with disabilities. This station's logo represents the flame and atoms that appear in the logo of the UANL. This station was inaugurated on October 31, 2007, as part of the first stage of the Line 2 expansion (along with Regina and Niños Heroes Stations). It served as the Line 2 terminus until stage 2 of the Line 2 expansion was completed on October 1, 2008, when Sendero Station took its place as the northern terminus of the line.

The Estadio Universitario ("University Stadium") – nicknamed El Volcán (Spanish for "The Volcano") is a football stadium located on the campus of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, Mexico, in the metropolitan area of Monterrey.

On 9 April 2022, Debanhi Susana Escobar Bazaldúa, an 18-year-old law student disappeared from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Thirteen days later on 22 April, her remains were found in a cistern, in a motel in General Escobedo, a municipality of Monterrey metropolitan area. The body had visible signs of violence. The killing of Escobar triggered unrest in Mexico after a picture of her standing on a road on the night of her disappearance went viral on social media. The case, investigated by the Nuevo León prosecutor's office as a femicide, happened amid a crisis of missing women in Nuevo León and throughout Mexico. Escobar's killing shocked Mexican society and made international news. The disappearance case went viral on social media and sparked protests in Mexico. The case is popularly known as Debanhi Escobar Case (Caso Debanhi Escobar).
