Dysart and Ruan

Ruan (Irish: An Ruán, meaning 'reddish land') is a village in County Clare in Ireland. It is in the Catholic parish of Dysart and Ruan.

It covers an area of 308 hectares (760 acres), it is an important site for waterbirds, and has been recognised as a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. It is protected by the Irish National Parks and Wildlife Service as a wildfowl sanctuary, meaning that shooting game birds is not allowed at the lake.

Barefield is in the Catholic parish of Doora Barefield parish. The village itself consists of The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Barefield National School, two shops and two pubs. Access to Barefield has changed in 2007 with the opening of the Ennis Bypass and changed again in 2010 upon the completion of the Gort Bypass.

Cois na hAbhna is a concert and events venue in Ireland, located in the town of Ennis, County Clare. It is the regional base of Comhaltas Ceoiltóirí Éireann for the Meitheal region, the primary Irish organisation dedicated to the promotion of the music, song, dance and the language of Ireland.The venue is used for a range of events including Irish Traditional music sessions, céilí dances drama performances and other concerts. Irish dancing lessons including set dancing are also carried out at the venue.
