Payerne Priory

Payerne railway station (French: Gare de Payerne) is a railway station in the municipality of Payerne, in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It is located at the junction of the standard gauge Fribourg–Yverdon and Palézieux–Lyss lines of Swiss Federal Railways.

Payerne District was a district of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.

It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Fribourg–Yverdon line of Swiss Federal Railways. The station is 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) south of Corcelles-Nord on the Palézieux–Lyss line.

Its territory is non-contiguous and Broye is fragmented into four parts, three of which exist as exclaves from the canton of Fribourg. It has a population of 33,901 (as of 31 December 2020).
