Aberporth Airport (ICAO: EGFA) is situated southwest of Aberporth, Ceredigion, Wales. The airport is being developed as West Wales Airport for domestic flights. The airport underwent major improvements in 2008 which extended the length of the runway from 945 to 1,257 m (3,100 to 4,124 ft). The site was previously RAF Aberporth, a former Royal Air Force satellite station which used by the RAF Army Cooperation Command, the site was also used the Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE), the Defence Research Agency (DRA) and the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA) under the control of the Ministry of Defence until 2001. During 1956, a brand-new asphalt runway was built, with other extensions of the hangar apron occurring during 1968 and 1971. During the 1960s Aberporth was the HQ of the RAE Ranges Division.

Manordeifi Old Church is a redundant church in Manordeifi, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is designated by Cadw as a Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Friends of Friendless Churches. The church stands near the River Teifi and worshippers were sometimes trapped when the river flooded. They were then ferried home in a coracle that was kept in the church porch for this purpose. The church is no longer used for regular worship, but the tradition of keeping a coracle in the porch continues. When it was stolen, local people raised money for it to be replaced.

The Battle of Crug Mawr (Welsh: Brwydr Crug Mawr), sometimes referred to as the Battle of Cardigan, took place in September or October 1136, as part of a struggle between the Welsh and Normans for control of Ceredigion, West Wales.The battle was fought near Penparc, northeast of Cardigan, probably on the hill now known as Banc-y-Warren; it resulted in a rout of the Norman forces, setting back their expansion in West Wales for some years.

Llechryd (Welsh pronunciation: [ɬɛxrɪd]) is a rural village on the A484 road approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) from Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales. Situated on the north bank of the tidal River Teifi, Llechryd is the first point upstream of Cardigan where crossing is possible. Most of the village has developed along the A484, with some estates branching off into the valley. It is part of the Community of Llangoedmor.
