Kilcock GAA

Kilcock railway station serves the town of Kilcock in County Kildare, Ireland. It is a station on the Dublin Connolly to Longford Commuter service and Dublin to Sligo InterCity service. Passengers change at Maynooth to travel to stations on the Dublin to Maynooth and Dublin to M3 Parkway Commuter services.

Kilcock (Irish: Cill Choca, meaning 'Coca's Church') is a town and townland in the north of County Kildare, Ireland, on the border with County Meath. One of the fastest growing towns in the country, its population of 8,674 makes it the seventh largest town in County Kildare and 61st largest in Ireland. The town is located 35 kilometres (22 mi) west of Dublin, and is on the Royal Canal. It is in a civil parish of the same name.Local industries include a large Musgrave Group distribution centre, which supplies SuperValu and Centra stores across much of the country.

Laraghbryan (Irish: Láithreach Briúin) is the site of an old monastic settlement, cemetery and ruined church, 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) west of Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland. It is the site of a graveyard which is in use by the Roman Catholic Parish of Maynooth. The ruined church consists of a nave and chancel with a tower attached, most of the ruined structure was part of a church built in Norman times, however this church was built on the site of a previous ecclesiastical settlement. In 1770 when the first Duke of Leinster restored Saint Mary's Church of Ireland in Maynooth, the wooden East Window was removed from Laraghbryan and installed in Saint Mary's, where it is today.

Rathcoffey are currently a junior team in Kildare and are competing in the third league division of Kildare.Rathcoffey forms St Edward's along with Straffan for underage purposes and St Edward's fields teams at all levels from Under 9 to Under 21.

Rathcoffey GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Rathcoffey. The club was founded in February 1888. Teams representing the club play hurling, camogie and Gaelic football.The Wogan family of Rathcoffey Castle were the principal landowners in Rathcoffey in the Middle Ages. In 1453, a private war erupted between different branches of the Wogan family for possession of Rathcoffey Castle.

Taghadoe in County Kildare in Ireland is the site of an ancient monastic settlement and round tower. The site includes a graveyard and the ruins of a 19th-century church. It is situated 5 km from Maynooth, off the Straffan Road. The name is derived from Teach Tua or 'House of Tua' in Irish, Saint Tua (Ultan the Silent) the abbot of Clonmacnoise, was responsible for founding the monastic settlement here. The site dates back to the 6th century. The round tower was used for about 1000 years, but was left in ruins by the 17th century. Most of the burials in the graveyard were in the 17th and 18th century and it was used by Roman Catholics. A John Dillon of Carton had bequeathed £1,000 for the building of a church on the site; the Duke of Leinster was the executor of his will. The church which was constructed on the site in 1831 for the Church of Ireland by a donation from the Board of First Fruits of £830. This church was only active for 40 years and, while derelict, its walls are quite intact.The tower was declared a national monument in 1886, and the site is in the care of the Office of Public Works (OPW).
