Old pumping station

Aalto-Hochhaus is a 22-floor high-rise apartment building in Bremen, Germany, designed by Alvar Aalto. It is approximately 60 meters tall and was completed in 1962. Since 1998, it is protected by the monument protection act.

The Rhododendron-Park Bremen (46 hectares), also known as the Rhododendron-Park und Botanischer Garten Bremen, is a major collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, as well as a substantial botanical garden (3.2 hectares), located in Bremen, Germany. It is open daily; park admission is free but a fee is charged for the nature center Botanika. The botanical garden dates to 1905 when it was created by businessman Franz Schütte at a different site (1905 Osterdeich, 3 hectares). This original garden was organized geographically, with plants from the Orient, Mexico, and the Caucasus, as well as collections of crop plants, medicinal herbs, native plants, and poisonous plants. It remained privately held until 1935 when it became city property, and was transferred to its current location within the Rhododendron Park over the next few years. Today's garden was completed in 1949-1950. The park itself began in 1933 at the initiative of the German Rhododendron Society on former farmland and forest, opening to the public in 1937. Its Botanika facility, described as Germany's largest nature center, opened in 2003. In 2007 ownership of the park was transferred to a nonprofit foundation.

Botanika is an indoor botanical garden with science center, in the Rhododendron-Park Bremen. The greenhouses opened in the year 2003 and show primarily azaleas and rhododendrons.

The Dankeskirche ('Thanksgiving Church') was a small Protestant church in Sebaldsbrück, a suburb of the German city of Bremen. The church was consecrated in 1938, which was preceded by a political dispute over its intended name. Bishop Heinrich Weidemann wanted to name the church after Horst Wessel, a move which was fiercely resisted by the local National Socialist party hierarchy. The church was demolished in 1964–1965.

The Aladin Music Hall is a nightclub located in Bremen, Germany. The club has hosted many famous artists over the years, including Saxon, Golden Earring, Foghat, Uriah Heep, Nirvana and Blue Öyster Cult. The Aladin opened in 1977.

Bremen-Hemelingen (German: Bahnhof Bremen-Hemelingen) is a railway station located in Bremen, Germany. The station is located in Hemelingen on the Wanne-Eickel–Hamburg railway and the train services are operated by NordWestBahn. The station has been part of the Bremen S-Bahn since December 2010.

The Focke Museum is the museum of history and the history of art for the city and state of Bremen. It was formed in 1924 by the merger of a museum of industry and commerce and the previous historical museum, and is named for the founder of the latter, Johann Focke (1848–1922), a Bremen privy councillor (German: Senatssyndikus) and father of Henrich Focke. It is located in 4.5 hectares (11 acres) of grounds in the Riensberg neighbourhood of the city. In addition to a main building which opened in 1964 and was extended in 2002, the museum complex includes buildings dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

At present OHB is the third largest corporation in Europe's space sector.The company OHB System AG is a major constituent of the OHB corporation. This company was founded in 1958 as a marine systems outfitter. The name OHB originates from this time; the name is an initialism of Otto Hydraulic Bremen. However the activities of the company shifted toward space technology in the 1980s after the couple Christa Fuchs and Manfred Fuchs took over ownership of the company.

The Regierungsbezirk Weser-Ems was the most westerly of the four administrative regions of Lower Saxony, Germany, bordering on the Dutch provinces of Groningen, Drenthe and Overijssel. It was established in 1978 by merging the former regions Osnabrück, Aurich, and Oldenburg. It was formally dissolved by the end of 2004 along with the other Regierungsbezirke of Lower Saxony as part of an effort to optimize the administrative system of the state.The administrative centre of the Regierungsbezirk Weser-Ems was located in the Staatsministerium building in Oldenburg, a representative governmental complex from the period of the Grand Duchy and later Free State of Oldenburg. The department of educational affairs was based in Osnabrück, the department for financial affairs (Regierungskasse treasurer's office) in Aurich.

International School in Bremen (ISB) is a private, co-educational, English-speaking school that was established in 1998 in Bremen - Horn-Lehe,, Badgasteiner Straße 11/Hochschulring, Germany. Jamie Perfect became Director of the school in 2018, following Malcom Davis.

The Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) is a German scientific institution of University of Bremen involved in research in space technology with applications, among other things, in fundamental physics and gravitation. More than 100 people are employed by the institution.
