Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park

Wah Lai Estate (Chinese: 華荔邨) is a public housing estate in Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It consists of a total of two residential blocks completed in 2001.Lai Yan Court (荔欣苑) is a Home Ownership Scheme housing court in Lai Chi Kok near Wah Lai Estate and within walking distance to Mei Foo station. Together with Wah Lai Estate and Nob Hill, it was formerly the site of Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park. It has three residential blocks completed in 2001.

Nob Hill (Chinese: 盈暉臺) is a private housing estate in Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong, located at the former site of Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park, together with Wah Lai Estate and Lai Yan Court. It has three residential blocks and a shopping centre. It was jointly developed by Cheung Kong Holdings and Far East Hotels and Entertainment in 2002.

Kau Wa Keng (Chinese: 九華徑), or Kau Wah Keng or Kau Wa Kang, is a village and valley in Lai King, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is located near the reclaimed Lai Chi Kok Bay in New Kowloon. Three rivers in the valley once joined at the bay and formed a beach at the estuary. Kau Wah Keng is the former site of Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park, which was closed in 1997. The village of Kau Wa Keng is built on the eastern side of valley with cultivation besides the rivers. An ancestral hall and the Yeung Ching School (養正學校) are located in the village. It was formerly known as Kau Pa Keng (狗爬徑), which means dog climbing path. It was later renamed to the current Kau Wa Keng, (literally, "Ninth beautiful path"). A new village Kau Wa Keng San Tsuen (九華徑新村) is located on the western side of the valley and was built following an influx of immigrants from mainland China after World War II, and during and after Chinese Civil War.Before the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong in 1941, the village was one of hiding place for many Chinese writers who had fled the mainland. Although the valley is closer to suburbs of Cheung Sha Wan, namely the community of Lai Chi Kok and Mei Foo, it traditionally and administratively belongs to Kwai Chung.Lai King Hill Road, a road following the former shore line of Kau Wa King, is the main road connecting the area to Kwai Chung and Lai Chi Kok.

Kwai Chung Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong, located near Princess Margaret Hospital. Officially opened on 15 October 1981, the hospital currently provides 920 psychiatric beds, serving the population of Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi, Tsuen Wan, Tung Chung, North Lantau and part of Kowloon.Apart from in-patient psychiatric services for adult psychiatric patients, it also develops psychiatric specialty services which include Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services, Psychogeriatric Services, Community Psychiatry, Consultation Liaison Services, Substance Abuse Assessment Unit and Psychiatric Unit for Learning Disabilities. The hospital also provides out-patient department and day hospital services for psychiatric patients at West Kowloon Psychiatric Centre and East Kowloon Psychiatric Centre. The hospital is reachable by Lai King Hill Road.

Princess Margaret Hospital (Chinese: 瑪嘉烈醫院; Cantonese Yale: Máhgāliht Yīyún) or PMH is a major acute district general hospital in south Kwai Chung, New Territories, near Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong, managed by the Hospital Authority. It provides services for patients from Lai Chi Kok, Lower Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi, Tsuen Wan, and Tung Chung Districts. Although it is not the main teaching hospital in Hong Kong, it also provides clinical teaching for medical students from medical college in Hong Kong, as well as providing internship placement. The hospital provides tertiary specialist services in urology and nephrology and has been widely regarded by Hong Kong people as the best specialist hospital in kidney related services and research.

Ching Lai Court (Chinese: 清麗苑) is a Home Ownership Scheme court in Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong, located at the junction of Ching Cheung Road and Kwai Chung Road near Princess Margaret Hospital. Although it is situated at the south of Kwai Chung, it administratively belongs to Sham Shui Po District. It has totally 7 blocks and a shopping centre built in 1981.

Mei Foo (Chinese: 美孚) is a Hong Kong MTR station located in Mei Foo Sun Chuen, Lai Chi Kok, New Kowloon. It is the only interchange station between the Tsuen Wan line and the Tuen Ma line, situated between Lai Chi Kok and Lai King stations on the Tsuen Wan line and Nam Cheong and Tsuen Wan West stations on the Tuen Ma line. Mei Foo station's colour is blue. The Tsuen Wan line part of the station is a simple through station with a central island platform, located under Mount Sterling Mall, a pedestrian-only street between the rows of residential buildings in the Mei Foo Sun Chuen housing estate. The station is designed to facilitate transport needs of the residents of Mei Foo Sun Chuen housing estate, there are 132 buildings and several schools, and the point of transfer between the Kowloon urban area and the new town of Tsuen Wan. If there is heavy traffic on the main road into urban Kowloon, the Kwai Chung Road, many commuters get off their buses and use this station as their link to Kowloon and Central on Hong Kong Island.

Mei Foo Sun Chuen or simply Mei Foo is a large private housing estate in Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Mei Foo Sun Chuen was the first large scale private housing estate in Hong Kong and at the time of completion, the 99-tower complex was considered the largest private housing development in the world, accommodating some 70,000 – 80,000 people in 13,500 apartments. It is considered to be one of the world's largest privately financed residential condominium projects.

Lai Chi Kok Bridge is a Hong Kong bridge that carries the Kwai Chung Road, part of Route 5, linking Kowloon to Kwai Chung, New Territories. The bridge, once the longest in Hong Kong, spanned Lai Chi Kok Bay, which was later filled in. It continues as an elevated road through Mei Foo Sun Chuen, a private housing estate. The former bay (below the bridge) is now Lai Chi Kok Park as well as Mei Foo station of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR).

The former Lai Chi Kok Hospital, located at No.800 Castle Peak Road, Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, was listed as one of the Grade III historic buildings in Hong Kong on 24 June 2010. The site has now been transformed into Jao Tsung-I Academy under batch 1 of the Hong Kong Government's revitalisation scheme.In the 19th century, the hospital first served as a labourers' dormitory for The Chamber of Mines Labour Importation Agency. In 1912, the British Army set up the Lai Chi Kok Barracks and was stationed there for two years. It became Lai Chi Kok Internment Camp later in 1924. The camp was then closed until the establishment of Stanley Prison in 1937. In the same year, Hong Kong became an epidemic zone under the spread of smallpox. The site was then rebuilt as a hospital for infectious diseases. Those patients from the hospital for leprosy, which was located in Hei Ling Chau and closed in 1974, were sent to the reconstructed hospital. The hospital was later changed to serve long-term psychiatric patients after the number of leprosy patients declined. In the early 2000s, the Hospital Authority planned to send its 400 mental patients to different psychiatric hospitals and transformed the site into a long-term nursing home under the supervision of the Social Welfare Department for patients who were queuing for such service. While the SWD refused to take it over, the HA then set up H.A. Care Limited to manage the hospital. In June 2004, patients were relocated to Caritas Jockey Club Lai King Rehabilitation Centre, which was completed in April 2005, and was the former site of Lai Chi Kok Hospital, which was returned to the SAR government. At that time the site was planned to be reconstructed as the staff dormitory of Correctional Services Department as well as their families.

Cho Yiu Chuen (Chinese: 祖堯邨) is a public housing estate developed by the Hong Kong Housing Society in Lai King, Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is located near Highland Park, Lai King Estate, Yuet Lai Court, Lai King Sports Centre and Lai King Building of Princess Margaret Hospital.The estate consists of eight residential blocks completed between 1976 and 1981. It also provides elderly persons flats at Chung Ling Sheh (Chinese: 松齡舍). It was named for Sir Cho Yiu Kwan (Chinese: 關祖堯爵士), one of the founders of Hong Kong Housing Society.

Butterfly Valley, or Wu Tip Kuk (Chinese: 蝴蝶谷), is a valley in north of Lai Chi Kok in New Kowloon of Hong Kong, located between O Pui Shan and Piper's Hill. The valley was a habitat of butterflies before Japanese occupation of Hong Kong and thus named after the creatures. During Japanese occupation between 1941 and 1945, the forest in valley was damaged by the Japanese military for obtaining wood. The butterflies lost their habitat and hence became extinct. The reforestation after war did not help to return the butterflies. The lower section of the valley was the site of a demolished squatter of Wai Man Tsuen (衛民村). The site now on the construction of Route 8. The upper section is part of country park. On the side above Piper's Hill, there are Roman Catholic Cemetery, Yew Chung International School of Hong Kong. On another side above O Pui Shan is O Pui Shan Boy's Home. A river is running along the valley. Its upper course was blocked for collecting water in Kowloon Reservoirs and its lower course has become a covered nullah under Butterfly Valley Road, which is the border of Lai Chi Kok and Cheung Sha Wan. Although its proximity to Lai Chi Kok, large part of valley belongs to Kwai Tsing District.
