Wolf Run (Muncy Creek tributary)

Muncy Creek (also known as Big Muncy Creek) is a tributary of the West Branch Susquehanna River in Sullivan County and Lycoming County, at Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 34.5 miles (55.5 km) long. The watershed of the creek has an area of 216 square miles (560 km2). The creek's discharge averages 49 cubic feet per second (1.4 m3/s) at Sonestown, but can be up to a thousand times higher at Muncy. The headwaters of the creek are on the Allegheny Plateau. Rock formations in the watershed include the Chemung Formation and the Catskill Formation. There are a number of lakes in the watershed of Muncy Creek, including Eagles Mere Lake, Highland Lake, and Beaver Lake. The creek was known as Occohpocheny to Native Americans. The area in its vicinity was settled in 1783. Various other industries and mills were constructed in the creek's vicinity from the late 18th century to the early 20th century. Wild trout naturally reproduce in part of Muncy Creek. Part of the creek is navigable by canoe.

Glade Run is a tributary of the West Branch Susquehanna River in Northumberland County and Lycoming County, in Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 6.5 miles (10.5 km) long and flows through Lewis Township in Northumberland County and Muncy Creek Township and Muncy in Lycoming County. The watershed of the stream has an area of 7.63 square miles (19.8 km2). The stream is not designated as an impaired waterbody. An Indian path known as the Wyoming Path was historically in the stream's vicinity. More recently, a number of bridges have been constructed over Glade Run. The stream's watershed is designated as a Warmwater Fishery and a Migratory Fishery.

Muncy Junior Senior High School is located at 200 W Penn Street, Muncy, Pennsylvania. In 2016, Muncy Junior Senior High School reported an enrollment of 435 pupils in grades 7th through 12th. It is part of the Muncy School District. High school students can attend the Lycoming Career and Technical Center for training in the building trades, drafting & design careers, criminal justice careers, allied health careers, culinary arts and other careers. The Muncy School District contracts with the BLaST Intermediate Unit #17 for services such as psychological testing, occupational and physical therapy services.

It was designed by architect Richard Upjohn in 1856, and was built between 1857 and 1859.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. State Correctional Institution – Muncy (SCI Muncy) is a Pennsylvania Department of Corrections prison for women in Clinton Township, Lycoming County, near Muncy. SCI Muncy, a close security prison, has Pennsylvania's "Death Row" for women.In 1920, Muncy Industrial Home, a training school for imprisoned women between 16 and 30, opened. In 1953 the industrial home became a part of the Bureau of Correction. The industrial home is now SCI Muncy.SCI-Muncy is the diagnostic center for female offenders in the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. It also houses the Young Adult Offenders program. SCI-Muncy has received some press coverage for its service dog training program which is coordinated with Canine Partners for Life. As of 2023 the prison had 1,000 prisoners, including 138 with life sentences and it houses the female offenders with execution sentences, when applicable.

Oak Run (also known as Whiteoak Run) is a tributary of Wolf Run in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 2.7 miles (4.3 km) long and flows through Muncy Township. The watershed of the stream has an area of 2.80 square miles (7.3 km2). The stream is relatively small and flows through a narrow valley. A school district was in the valley in the early 1900s, but the school closed in 1948.
