Borychiv Descent (Ukrainian: Боричів узвіз, translit.: Borychiv uzviz) is a historic descent in the historical and merchant quarter of Kyiv, the Podil (Podol) neighbourhood. It is located near the Poshtova Square. Its legendary name, Borichev Descent, is derived from either the name of a wealthy Kyivan who lived there at the turn of the 19th century, or from the word borych/biruch (Ukrainian: борич/бірюч), which means a herald and customs officer serving the Kyiv Prince in the Middle Ages. Some scholars believe that today's Borychiv Descent corresponds to the legendary one mentioned in the 12th century poem, The Tale of Igor's Campaign (Slovo o polku Ihorevim); others state that the ancient Borychev Descent is actually today's Andriyivskyi Descent. Several houses from the first part of the 19th century have been preserved on the nearby Borychiv Tik (Ukrainian: Боричів Тік, translit.: Borychiv Tik), which starts from the Borychiv Descent. This street is popularized by its usage as a set in many historical movies.

Poshtova Ploshcha (Ukrainian: Поштова площа, (listen)) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line. The station was opened on 17 December 1976, and is named after Kyiv's Poshtova Square (Post Square) near the Dnieper's embankment in the historic Podil neighbourhood. It was designed by A.S. Krushynskyi, T.A. Tselykovska, I.L. Maslenkov, and V.S. Bohdanovskyi. The station is located shallow underground and consists of a central hall with columns. At the end of the station's hall, there is a stained glass decorative window. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels leading from the Volodymyrskyi Decent and the Poshtova Square. Near the station, the Kyiv Funicular is located, providing a main access to the station from the central part of Kyiv.

Poshtova Square (Ukrainian: Поштова площа, translit.: Poshtova Ploshcha, literally: Postal Square) in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is one of the oldest historic squares of the city. Archaeological findings are dated back to the 4th century. A crossing of several historic streets such as Saint Volodymyr Descent, Borychiv Descent and Sahaydachny Street, the square is located at the Dnipro riverfront right next to the Kyiv River Port. The square received its name from Podil post station that was opened there in 1846. The square was also known under an alternative name as the Nativity Square (Ukrainian: площа Різдва, romanized: ploshcha Rizdva), from the Nativity Church (built in 1810–1814, destroyed by soviets in 1936 and rebuilt in 2004). The square underwent significant reconstruction in the 1970s when the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska (today Obolonsko–Teremkivska Metro line) was built and only the post station was preserved. Currently, the post station is used as a small art gallery. Since 2018 the square is a protected heritage site, and is planned to hold at some point in the future a museum dedicated to medieval Kyiv.

The Refectory Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian (Ukrainian: Храм святого апостола і євангелиста Іоана Богослова) is the refectory church of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery, in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. The church is dedicated to John the Theologian.

St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery (Ukrainian: Михайлівський золотоверхий монастир, Mykhaylivs’kyi zolotoverkhyi monastyr) is a monastery in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, dedicated to Michael the Archangel. It is located on the edge of the bank of the Dnieper river, northeast of the Saint Sophia Cathedral. The site is located in the historic administrative Uppertown and overlooks the city's historical commercial and merchant quarter, the Podil. The monastery has been the headquarters of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine since December 2018. Originally built in the Middle Ages by the Kievan Rus' ruler Sviatopolk II Iziaslavych, the monastery comprises the cathedral church, the Refectory of St. John the Divine, built in 1713, the Economic Gates, constructed in 1760, and the bell tower, which was added c. 1716 – c. 1719. The exterior of the structure was rebuilt in the Ukrainian Baroque style in the 18th century while the interior remained in its original Byzantine style. The original cathedral was demolished by the Soviet authorities in the 1930s, but was reconstructed and opened in 1999 following Ukrainian independence in 1991.

Volodymyrska Hill or Saint Volodymyr Hill (Ukrainian: Володимирська гірка, "Volodymyrska hirka") is a large 10.6 hectares (0.106 km2) park located on the steep right-bank of the Dnipro River in central Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Its most famous and prominent landmark is the Monument to Prince Volodymyr. The monument, with its prominent location and overlooking the scenic panorama of the left-bank of Kyiv, has since become one of the symbols of Kyiv, often depicted in paintings and photographic works of the city. The Hill provides an excellent panorama of the Dinpro River, the Left Bank, and Podil.

The Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine (Ukrainian: Стіна пам'яті загиблих за Україну) is the wall of the Mykhailivsky Golden-Domed Monastery along Trohsvyatitelska Street near Mykhailivska Square, Kyiv.It was implemented as a joint work of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, the National Military History Museum of Ukraine, the editorial board of the book "Memory of the Fallen for Ukraine" and the historical and cultural society "Amulet of Time". In 2020, the Wall of Remembrance was renovated. 4500 new photos were added.

Monument to Prince Volodymyr, is a monument in Kyiv, dedicated to the Grand Prince of Kyiv Volodymyr the Great, built in 1853. It is located on Volodymyrska Hill, the steep right bank of the Dnipro. It is the oldest sculptural monument, a dominating feature of the Dnipro banks, and one of the city's symbols.

Saint Michael's Square (Ukrainian: Михайлівська площа, romanized: Mykhailivska ploshcha) is a square in Old Kyiv, Ukraine. Located in the Shevchenkivskyi District of Kyiv, the square lies in front of Saint Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery. It is located about 300 m (1,000 ft) northeast of Sophia Square, to which it is connected by Volodymyrskyi Passage, and about 450 m (1,500 ft) northwest of Maidan Nezalezhnosti, to which it is connected by Michael Street. On the square is a monument to Princess Olha, Andrew the Apostle, and Saints Cyril and Methodius. There is a memorial to the victims of the Holodomor in front of the monastery. Also, one of the monastery's external walls bordering the square serves as The Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine, a Russo-Ukrainian War memorial. The square served as one of the fan zones during the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Since May 2022 it hosts destroyed Russian military equipment exhibition that features Russian military equipment captured and destroyed during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The Kyiv River Port (Ukrainian: Київський річковий порт; translit. Kyivskyi richkovyi port) is the main river port of Kyiv, located on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Podil neighborhood of the city. The port has an own fleet that serves as a shipping company. It also has departments in Pereiaslav and Rzhyshchiv. The passenger part of the port has been renovated to house American University of Kyiv since 2021.

The British Embassy Kyiv (Ukrainian: Посольство Великої Британії в Києві) (also known as Kiev), is the British sovereign's diplomatic mission to Ukraine, representing the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom's interests. The embassy is located on Desyatynna street in the Pecherskyi District of the city, right opposite to the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The British Ambassador to Ukraine is Melinda Simmons who was appointed in 2019.
