The Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants — or TPF, is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1960 to promote the understanding and preservation of California native plants. It continues the work of Theodore Payne, an English horticulturist, gardener, landscape designer, and botanist.The Foundation is located in Sun Valley, in the northeastern San Fernando Valley and western Verdugo Mountains foothills.

Glenoaks Boulevard is a major thoroughfare in Los Angeles County, which stretches some 22.4 miles as a north-south thoroughfare in Sylmar at its intersection with Foothill Boulevard to a west-east thoroughfare in Glendale before ending in the Scholl Canyon area as a minor street. It passes through much of the San Fernando Valley including San Fernando, Pacoima, and Sun Valley. It is also a north-south thoroughfare in Burbank. Glenoaks Boulevard runs east of and parallel to Interstate 5 (Golden State Freeway) in San Fernando and Burbank, and north of and parallel to State Route 134 (Ventura Freeway) in Glendale. The median of Glenoaks Boulevard formerly carried Pacific Electric Railway trains from Brand Boulevard in Glendale to Eton Drive in Burbank. This Glendale–Burbank Line was cut back to Cypress Avenue in 1940 and replaced by buses in 1955.

Sun Valley is a neighborhood in Los Angeles, California in the San Fernando Valley region. The neighborhood is known for its overall youthful population and moderate racial diversity. There are three recreation centers in Sun Valley, one of which is a historic site. The neighborhood has thirteen public schools—including John H. Francis Polytechnic High School and Sun Valley High School—and four private schools.

Sun Valley station is a Metrolink rail station in the community of Sun Valley, Los Angeles, California. It is served by Metrolink's Antelope Valley Line from Los Angeles Union Station to Lancaster. 28 Metrolink trains serve the station each weekday and 12 serve the station on Saturday and Sunday. Weekday Metrolink service runs primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel while weekend departures and arrivals are fairly evenly spaced throughout the day.

Burbank Airport–North station is a Metrolink rail station in the city of Burbank, California. Passengers on the Antelope Valley Line, which travels between Lancaster, California and Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, can connect with the Hollywood Burbank Airport. The station is located near the intersection of San Fernando Boulevard and Hollywood Way and a free shuttle bus facilitates trips to the terminal located one-mile (1.6 km) from the station site. Metrolink ticket holders can also ride Los Angeles Metro Bus routes between the station and the terminal for free.Burbank Airport–North station is served by 22 Metrolink Antelope Valley Line trains (11 in each direction) each weekday running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. Weekend service consists of 12 trains (6 in each direction) on both Saturday and Sunday evenly spaced throughout the day.The station was given the name Bob Hope Airport–Hollywood Way during planning, but the name was changed prior to opening.

San Fernando Road is a major street in the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County. Within the Burbank city limits it is signed as San Fernando Boulevard, and north of Newhall Pass it is signed as The Old Road. It was previously designated as Business Loop 5 in the 1970s.

Villa Cabrini Academy was a private Catholic elementary and high school for girls that operated from 1937 to 1970, under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The academy was located in Burbank, California, and served the Catholic population of the San Fernando Valley. It was sponsored by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, founded by St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, the first citizen of the United States to be declared a saint by the Catholic Church.The school closed in June 1970. Its campus was used as the first location of the new California Institute of the Arts from July 1970 to when the new main campus for CalArts in Valencia, California was completed in November 1971. It was rented for some time, then acquired by Los Angeles Lutheran High School in 1977 and subsequently sold in the mid-1980s to Woodbury University, which moved its operations from its original urban site in Los Angeles to the grounds of the former high school in 1987. The academy chapel was converted into the university library, and the chapel's statues and stained-glass windows were re-installed at the Mother Cabrini Shrine on Colorado's Lookout Mountain.

St. Leon Armenian Cathedral (in Armenian: Սրբոց Ղևոնդյանց Մայր Տաճար) in the city of Burbank, California is an Armenian Apostolic cathedral that was built in 2010. The cathedral is home to the Armenian community in the Southern California area and is located directly across the street to Woodbury University. The cathedral was consecrated by HH Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. The cathedral falls on the northern side of Glenoaks Boulevard and is visible from the Interstate 5 freeway.

Burbank Airport station is a proposed California High-Speed Rail station in Burbank, California, to be located at the Hollywood Burbank Airport adjacent to and just west of that facility's proposed replacement passenger terminal, which will be built in the northeast quadrant of the airfield. The site for the rail station is bounded by Cohasset Street to the north, Winona Avenue on the south, and Hollywood Way along the eastern end of the airport property. The station connects the Palmdale to Burbank and Burbank to Los Angeles project sections of the California high-speed rail line, but is considered to be part of the latter. The station will be mostly underground, but an above-grade building will tie it into the relocated airport terminal complex. Plans call for the approach tunnels and station box to be mostly built using the cut and cover method — except for those portions under active taxiway D and active runway 8-26, which will be constructed using the Sequential Extraction Method (SEM) to avoid ground subsidence.The proposed HSR station is separate from, and not connected to, the nearby Metrolink commuter rail station on their Antelope Valley Line, known as Burbank Airport–North station. No plans currently exist to directly connect that station to the proposed high-speed rail (HSR) station, but the airport authority runs an "on demand" shuttle between the present terminal and this Metrolink station, which is just northeast of the airport. Similarly, there is a joint Metrolink/Amtrak station just to the south of the airport — known on the Metrolink Ventura County Line as Burbank Airport–South and as Hollywood Burbank Airport to Amtrak riders on their Pacific Surfliner. That station is within walking distance to the present airport terminal, but will be considerably farther away once the new terminal opens. It is not known if the airport plans to restart a similar shuttle service to this rail station once the air terminal is moved, but that may be likely since much of the airport's rental car infrastructure is housed across the street in the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center at the corner of Hollywood Way and Empire Avenue. However, like to the north there are no present plans to physically directly link the HSR station to this existing rail station to the south.

Hollywood Burbank Airport, legally and formerly marketed as Bob Hope Airport after entertainer Bob Hope (IATA: BUR, ICAO: KBUR, FAA LID: BUR), is a public airport 3 miles (4.8 km) northwest of downtown Burbank, in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The airport serves Downtown Los Angeles and the northern Greater Los Angeles area, which include Glendale, Pasadena, and the San Fernando Valley. It is closer to many popular attractions including Griffith Park, Universal Studios Hollywood, Hollywood, and Downtown Los Angeles than Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and is the only airport in the area with a direct rail connection to Downtown Los Angeles, with service from two stations: Burbank Airport–North and Burbank Airport–South. Non-stop flights mostly serve cities in the western United States and short-haul international flights to western Canada, while JetBlue has daily flights to New York City. Originally the entire airport was within the Burbank city limits, but the north end of Runway 15/33 has been extended into the city of Los Angeles. The airport is owned by the Burbank–Glendale–Pasadena Airport Authority and controlled by the governments of those cities. The Airport Authority contracts with TBI Airport Management, Inc., to operate the airport, which has its own police and fire departments, the Burbank–Glendale–Pasadena Airport Authority Police. Boarding uses portable boarding steps or ramps rather than jet bridges. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021 categorized it as a medium-hub primary commercial service facility.For the purposes of noise abatement, commercial flights are scheduled between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. Hollywood Burbank Airport is linked to Los Angeles International Airport by land via FlyAway express coach.
