Great Horwood is a small village and is also a civil parish within the unitary authority area of Buckinghamshire, England with a population of about 1025 people (2001 Census). It is about five miles ESE of Buckingham, six miles WSW of Milton Keynes.

Royal Air Force Little Horwood or more simply RAF Little Horwood is a former Royal Air Force station. It was established during the Second World War, and is located on the site of Greenway Farm in Aylesbury Vale, north east Buckinghamshire. The airfield sits within a triangle formed by Little Horwood, Great Horwood, and Winslow. It was in operation from September 1942 until January 1946. It is now mostly returned to agricultural use.

Pilch Fields is an 11.1-hectare (27-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) west of Great Horwood in Buckinghamshire. It is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.The site has two fields called Big Pilch and Little Pilch. The varied habitats in Big Pilch include wetland, fen, scrub, a stream and ridge-and-furrow grassland. The stream continues into Little Pilch, which has spring-fed fen and grassland. Over two hundred flowering plants have been recorded. Tall hedges provide additional ecological interest. Invertebrates include butterflies, moths and many ants. There are birds such as turtle doves, yellowhammers and reed buntings.There is access from Pilch Lane through a small field which is part of the nature reserve but is not part of the SSSI.

Nash is a village and also a civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England, within the Buckinghamshire Council unitary authority area. It is in the north of the county, about 5 miles (8.0 km) south-west of Milton Keynes and 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Buckingham. According to the 2011 census, the population total of Nash was 417.

Winslow railway station refers to either one of two railway stations which historically served or is planned to serve, the town of Winslow in north Buckinghamshire, England. The original station (1850–1968) was on the former Varsity Line between Cambridge and Oxford. As of August 2023, construction of a new station nears completion and is scheduled to be served by East West Rail, as part of the plan to reinstate the Oxford–Cambridge service.

Sir Thomas Fremantle School is a secondary free school that opened in Winslow, Buckinghamshire in September 2013. It was proposed by a group of local parents and educationalists to improve the quality and choice of available secondary education in North Buckinghamshire. The school opened in the former Winslow Centre, previously the site of Winslow Secondary Modern School. The school moved into a large purpose-built site off Buckingham Road in 2017. The school is a non-denominational, fully comprehensive school for students between 11 and 19. The school is named after Sir Thomas Fremantle, a naval officer in the time of and a good friend of Lord Nelson Originally, the school was divided into three houses, each bearing the name of a ship Sir Thomas Fremantle captained: Neptune, Hussar and Spitfire. In 2021, the house names were updated based on a student election in the year combined with the fact that the school was changing the form system from vertical to horizontal. The new houses are named after: Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Agatha Chrisitie, Freddie Mercury and Mary Seacole. In 2022, as the school expanded, two additional houses were added named after Tim Peake and Boudicca. In 2015, the school was judged as 'Good' with 'Outstanding' features by Ofsted, and this rating was reaffirmed in 2018. Since September 2022, the Headmaster is Francis Murphy who replaced Neale Pledger.

Furze Down School is a co-educational special education school in Winslow, Buckinghamshire. It is a community school, which takes children from the age of 4 through to the age of 19. The school has approximately 200 pupils. The school caters for children with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, autism, behavioural, social and emotional difficulties, and language and communication difficulties.The school was rebuilt in 2015.The school's most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2018 judged it to be "Outstanding".

Winslow War Memorial is located in High Street, Winslow, Buckinghamshire, England. It is a grade II listed building with Historic England and commemorates men who died in the First World War with later additions for the Second World War, Malayan Emergency and Falklands Conflict. It was unveiled in 1920.
