Leetown is an unincorporated community in northern Frederick County, Virginia, United States. Leetown is located on Old Charles Town Road (VA 761) at its intersection with Gun Club Road (VA 666) to the west of Opequon Creek. According to the Geographic Names Information System, Leetown has also been known throughout its history as Opequon Hill.

High Banks, also known as the Helm-Clevenger House, is a historic home and farm located near Stephenson, Frederick County, Virginia. The house was built about 1753, and is a two-story, three bay by two bay, center-hall, double-pile, limestone dwelling. It has a one-story, two-bay by three-bay frame addition and a frame rear wing. The front porch and interior features detailing in the late Greek Revival were added about 1858. Also on the property are a contributing foundation and partial wall of a post-Civil War bank barn and an 18th-century icehouse pit, both made of stone.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Jordan Springs is the name of an unincorporated community located approximately four miles from Winchester, Virginia. It was named after a plantation and resort developed here by the Jordan family, based on natural sulphur springs which had been known for centuries to local Native Americans. In 1800, the Jordan White Sulphur Springs resort was established here, as people believed the springs had healing properties. Generations of the Jordan family developed three hotels on the site. David Holmes, a five-term US Congressman from Virginia's 2nd congressional district, appointed governor of Mississippi Territory, and first elected governor of the state of Mississippi, came here in declining health, dying here in 1832.The historic Jordan Springs Hotel was built in 1893 at this location, building on the destination's appeal. Today it is located along Lick Run in Frederick County, Virginia, on Jordan Springs Road (VA 664) to the north of Devils Backbone. It followed two other hotels on the site, developed by the Jordan family. Competition with other sites and changing taste reduced its business. In 1953, the property was bought by the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity. They operated the property as a Catholic Monastery and Seminary. Faced with declining vocations, they leased the space to Shalom et Benedictus for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. It operated until 1999.Today, the 48,000-square-foot (4,500 m2) historic building, known as the Historic Jordan Springs Event & Cultural Centre, is operated as a wedding, event, and conference center. It also provides business space to County Court Reporters. The property is owned and managed by Tonie Wallace-Aitken and Greig Aitken, with assistance from the property event coordinator, Colt Nutter. Its mail address is Stephenson, Virginia.

Wadesville is an unincorporated community in Clarke County in the U.S. state of Virginia. Wadesville is located along Opequon Creek at Locke's Ford.

Brucetown is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in northern Frederick County, Virginia, United States. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 274. Brucetown lies at the intersection of Brucetown and Sir John Roads. A post office was established in the community in 1819. Brucetown also had its own school in operation from 1871 to 1941.

Burnt Factory is an unincorporated community in Frederick County, Virginia, United States. Burnt Factory lies to the northeast of Winchester along Opequon Creek. The community is centered at the intersection of Burnt Factory and Jordan Springs Roads.

Abrams Creek is an 11.2-mile-long (18.0 km) tributary stream of Opequon Creek in Frederick County and the independent city of Winchester in Virginia. Abrams Creek rises north of Round Hill and flows in a southeasterly direction through Winchester. From Winchester, Abrams Creek flows east into Opequon Creek. The stream was originally known as Abraham's Creek.

Stephenson is an unincorporated community in Frederick County, Virginia. Stephenson is located on U.S. Route 11 north of Winchester. High Banks, a historic home and farm dating from the mid-18th century, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Clear Brook is an unincorporated farming community in northern Frederick County, Virginia. The community lies approximately six miles (9.6 kilometers) north of the county seat of Winchester along Martinsburg Pike (U.S. Route 11). It is the site of the Kenilworth home, once owned by Harry K. Thaw, the old Hopewell Meeting House, Stonewall Elementary School, the Clearbrook Park, and the Frederick County Fairgrounds. Sometimes referred to as Clearbrook, its name was decided upon by the Board on Geographic Names in 1966 as Clear Brook. Clear Brook drew national attention when resident and Quaker peace activist Tom Fox was kidnapped in Baghdad on November 25, 2005. Fox's body was found March 9, 2006.

Millbank, also known as Spout Spring and Hillwood, is a historic house at 3100 Berryville Pike, in Frederick County, Virginia east of the city of Winchester. The two story brick mansion was built c. 1850 by Isaac and Daniel T. Wood. It is one of the largest Greek Revival houses in the county, standing on a hill overlooking Berryville Pike and Opequon Creek, which flows east of the property. The house (vacant in 2014) has a typical I-house plan, with two entrances, one facing the highway and one the creek. Both were originally sheltered by Doric-columned porches, but the side entry's porch has been removed by vandals. The house was previously owned by the Winchester-Frederick Service Authority, who took the property in 1984 by eminent domain to construct the adjacent sewage treatment plant. It is now owned by The Fort Collier Civil War Center, Inc. (2014.) This nonprofit organization owns historic Fort Collier, another Third Battle of Winchester site. The house has a documented association with the American Civil War. The nearby crossing of Opequon Creek was at that time a ford, and it was in this area that the Third Battle of Winchester raged. Millbank is documented as having been the site of a Union Army field hospital during the battle.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Glendale Farm is a historic home and farm located near Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia. The main house was built about 1847, and is a two-story, five-bay, double-pile, brick dwelling. The interior features most of its original provincial Greek Revival woodwork. Also on the property are the contributing one-story, two-unit kitchen/laundry/slave quarters outbuilding; Appalachian double-crib log barn; corn crib, granary, and hog shed.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Valley Mill Farm, also known as Eddy's Mill, William Helm House, and Helm/Eddy House, is a historic home and farm located near Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia, USA. The house was built about 1820, and is a two-story, four-bay, Federal style dwelling with a gable roof. It has a 1+1⁄2-story wing dated to the mid-19th century. Also on the property are a contributing former two-story mill (c. 1820, now veterinary office), a frame two-story tenant house (c. 1890), a storage shed, and the ruins of two small, unidentified buildings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
