Seer Green

Long Grove Wood is a 1.5-hectare (3.7-acre) nature reserve managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust in Seer Green in Buckinghamshire.The site is deciduous woodland with the main trees being beach and hornbeam. The Great Storm of 1987 brought down several trees, creating open areas which were colonised by flowers such as bluebell and yellow archangel. Dead wood is kept to provide a habitat for insects and fungi. Birds include great spotted woodpeckers and treecreepers.There is access from Farmers Way and Long Grove Lane.

Seer Green and Jordans railway station is a railway station near the village of Seer Green in Buckinghamshire, England. It also serves the nearby village of Jordans. The station is on the Chiltern Main Line between Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield. It is served by Chiltern Railways trains.

Hodgemoor Wood is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire. It is in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and most of it is leased by Buckinghamshire County Council to the Forestry Commission.The site is a large area of semi-natural broad-leaved woodland on unusually varied soil types of mottled clays, sands and gravels, and it has a similarly wide range of structure, including ancient coppiced oak, beech and hornbeam. The core of the site is ancient woodland, with records going back to the thirteenth century. Ground vegetation includes bracken and brambles, with sedges in wetter areas. Butterflies include white admiral and purple hairstreak, and the nationally rare jewel beetle Agrilus biguttatus has been recorded. There is also a wide variety of breeding woodland birds.There are extensive tracks with broad rides, walking trails, and cycling paths, and access to the site from Bottrells Lane.Hodgemoor was the site of a Polish Refugee camp from 1946-1962. There were several camps in the Amersham area that housed Polish servicemen and their families. In particular the Hodgemoor Camp housed refugees from the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division, many of whom later settled in the area, leading to the large local Polish population. At its peak the camp housed up to 600 people.

Beaconsfield Golf Club is a golf club, located in Seer Green, Buckinghamshire, England. It is located about 1 mile east of Beaconsfield. The club was established in 1902; in 1914, the club moved to a new course which was designed by Harry Colt.

Jordans is a village in Chalfont St Giles parish, Buckinghamshire, England, and the civil parish of Hedgerley. It is a centre for Quakerism, holds the burial place of William Penn, founder of the Province of Pennsylvania, and so is a popular place with American visitors. It also contains the Mayflower Barn, made from ship timbers sometimes claimed to be from the Mayflower. Some 245 households and 700 residents are served by a nursery, primary school, youth hostel, village hall and community shop. Forty of the houses and cottages and 21 flats are owned by a non-profit society that manages the village and its amenities.

Welders House is a Grade II listed house located in the village of Jordans, in Buckinghamshire, England. It was built between 1898 and 1899 for the politician Charles Thomson Ritchie by his son-in-law Mervyn Macartney. The governors of the St Luke's Hospital for Lunatics in London bought Welders House in 1910 along with its 100-acre estate and the nearby 35-acre Jordans Farm. The farm was sold in 1911 to the Religious Society of Friends. The house operated as a convalescent home for women with mild nervous maladies from 1911 to 1916. Welders Orchard of 113⁄4 acres and a field of 63⁄4 acres were purchased in 1917. The 5-acre Welders Wood was bought in 1920. The War Office loaned the house from St Luke's in 1918 for a Home of Rest for army nurses suffering from the mental strains of the First World War. The house closed in 1927 having been received by the Governors of St Luke's from the War Office in 1922. In 1940 the Welders House estate was leased to a couple who unsuccessfully planned to create a private nursing home, it was subsequently leased to the Bon Secours Sisters in 1942 and was part of the St Joseph Nursing Home in nearby Beaconsfield until April 1947.It has been Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England since December 1984. The formal grounds feature a Rose garden, a copy of the Bethesda Fountain in New York City's Central Park, and a K6 telephone box.It was owned by British two-time Academy Award winning special effects director John Stears in the 1980s. It was then bought by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 1993.Since this time significant renovation and expansion work has been undertaken adding an alternative driveway, a tennis court and gymnasium. The house was chosen by Sharon Osbourne due to its extreme distance from any public houses.The house is built of red brick and has 2 storeys with Dutch style gabled attics. The gardens of Welders House were featured in the 2017 book The Secret Gardeners by Victoria Summerley and photographer Hugo Rittson Thomas.In 2022, Welders House and its history was covered extensively in Jack Osbourne's Haunted Homecoming Mini-series on Discovery+.

Froghall Brickworks is a 0.26-hectare (0.64-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire.The site is Pleistocene gravel above Reading beds. The gravel was deposited by the proto-River Thames, before it was diverted south by the Anglian Ice Age around 450,000 years ago. It is described by Natural England as very important because it is the only known exposure of the Westland Green Gravel in the Middle Thames area.The site is on private land with no public access.

The British Defence Film Library (BDFL) is part of the Services Sound and Vision Corporation and is responsible for maintaining the library and distribution of military training and recruitment film, CD-ROMs and training packs.It was founded in April 1996 under a MoD contract. The BDFL supplies the training programmes to the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force. It has a library of approximately 3,500 titles from over 40 years. New programmes are added to the library as they are made.

Wilton Park is a cricket ground in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1942, when Beaconsfield played Captain Alan Parker's XII. The first Minor Counties Championship match played on the ground came when Buckinghamshire played Norfolk in 1967. From 1967 to 1975 and 1989 to 2005 the ground has hosted 26 Minor Counties Championship matches, the last of which saw Buckinghamshire play Staffordshire. The ground has also held four MCCA Knockout Trophy matches, the last of which saw Buckinghamshire play Wiltshire in 2005.The ground has also held List-A matches. The first List-A match held on the ground was between Buckinghamshire and Sussex in the 1992 NatWest Trophy. Between 1992 and 2002, the ground played host to five List-A matches, the last of which saw Buckinghamshire play Shropshire in the second round of the 2003 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was played in 2003.Wilton Park has also been a venue for Women's One Day International's. The first Women's ODI saw India women play Netherlands women in the 1993 Women's Cricket World Cup.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Beaconsfield Cricket Club who play in the Home Counties Premier Cricket League.

Ledborough was a former hamlet in the parish of Beaconsfield, in Buckinghamshire, England which has become incorporated into the urban area of the town of Beaconsfield as it rapidly expanded in the early part of the 20th century.
