Hockomock Bay

Westport Town Hall is the current town hall of Westport, Maine. It is located on Main Road (Maine State Route 144) in a former Congregational church built in 1794. The building, used as the town hall since 1885, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 as Union Meeting House, (Former) [sic].

Westport Island, formerly Westport, is a town in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. In the 19th century the island was known as Jeremysquam, a nickname islanders still use for it. The population was 719 at the 2020 census.

The Westport Community Church, also known historically as Temperance Hall and the Music Hall, is a historic church on Main Road (Maine State Route 144) in Westport, Maine. Probably built in the 1830s, and moved to its present location in 1864, it is a fine local example of Greek Revival architecture. It is now owned by a local non-profit organization, used for events and functions in the summertime. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Sasanoa River is an 8.6-mile-long (13.8 km) tidal channel in the Midcoast region of Maine, connecting the Kennebec River with the Sheepscot River. The Sasanoa River has two distinct sections. The western section begins at the Kennebec River opposite the city of Bath and runs east, forming the boundary between the towns of Arrowsic and Woolwich, and passing through its narrowest channel at Upper Hell Gate. The western section ends at Hockomock Bay, a water body also crossed by the Back River and containing numerous tidal inlets. The eastern section of the Sasanoa River begins 1 mile (1.6 km) northeast of the river's western section and flows southeast through Lower Hell Gate and Goose Rock Passage to the Sheepscot River. This section of the river forms the boundary between Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties, as well as between the towns of Westport and Georgetown.

The Squire Tarbox House is a historic house at 1181 Main Road in Westport, Maine. Built in 1763 and enlarged in 1820, it is a fine local example of Georgian and Federal architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, and is presently home to the Squire Tarbox Inn.

The Benjamin Riggs House is a historic house on Robinhood Road in Georgetown, Maine. Built about 1790, it is the oldest house in Georgetown, and is a well-preserved example of transitional Georgian-Federal architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Robinhood Free Meetinghouse is a historic church building at 210 Robinhood Road in Georgetown, Maine. Built in 1856, it is a modest example of vernacular Greek Revival architecture, distinctive as one of Maine's few rural 19th-century churches to have its sanctuary space on the second floor. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016; it has recently been converted for use as a restaurant.

School Union 47 covers five towns in the state of Maine. Included in Union 47 is Arrowsic, Georgetown, Phippsburg, West Bath and Woolwich, Maine. All towns have schools serving grades K–6, with the exception of Woolwich, which serves grades K–8. Union 47's population, as of 2006, is approximately 740 students. The school union has no high school and all Ninth through twelfth grade students go to Morse High School in Bath.

Montsweag Bay is a small brackish water bay near Wiscasset, Maine. It connects to Hockomock Bay, which connects with many more bays and eventually to the Atlantic Ocean. The peninsula known as Chewonki Neck juts out into the bay between Westport Island and the town of Woolwich and is the home of the Chewonki Foundation.

The Riggs-Zorach House is a historic house in the Robinhood area of Georgetown, Maine. Built in the early 19th century for a local state legislator, it is an excellent local example of Federal/Greek Revival period architecture. It is most prominent as the home of artists Marguerite Thompson Zorach and William Zorach in the mid-20th century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Arrowsic is a town in Sagadahoc County, Maine, United States. The population is 477 as of the 2020 United States Census. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area. During the French and Indian Wars, Arrowsic was site of a succession of important and embattled colonial settlements. It is a favorite with artists and birdwatchers.
