Chratzerengrat

The Pfannenstock (2,573 m) is a mountain of the Schwyzer Alps, located east of Muotathal in the Swiss canton of Schwyz. It lies on the karstic range between the valleys of Muota and Linth, west of the border with the canton of Glarus.

The Silberen (2,319 m) is a mountain of the Schwyzer Alps, located east of the Pragel Pass in the canton of Schwyz. On its eastern side the mountain overlooks the lake of Klöntal. The summit consists of a large karstic plateau. The name, meaning silver in English, derives from the light color of the bare rock. In winter, it is a popular mountain for ski touring.

The Glarus Alps (German: Glarner Alpen) are a mountain range in central Switzerland. They are bordered by the Uri Alps and the Schwyz Alps to the west, the Lepontine Alps to the south, the Appenzell Alps to the northeast. The eastern part of the Glarus Alps contains a major thrust fault that was declared a geologic UNESCO World Heritage Site (the Swiss Tectonic Arena Sardona). The Glarus Alps extend well beyond the canton of Glarus, including parts of the cantons of Uri, Graubünden, and St Gallen. Conversely, not all the mountains in the canton of Glarus are part of the Glarus Alps, with those to the north of the Urner Boden and to the west of the valley of the river Linth considered to be part of the Schwyz Alps.

The Bös Fulen is a mountain in the Schwyz Alps, located on the border between the cantons of Schwyz and Glarus. It overlooks the valleys of Muotathal (Schwyz) and Linthal. It is the highest summit of the canton of Schwyz. Politically, it is split between the municipalities of Muotathal (Schwyz) and Glarus. Braunwald is the nearest locality.

Glattalpsee is a reservoir on Glattalp, above Bisisthal, in the municipality of Muotathal, Canton of Schwyz, Switzerland. Its surface area is 39 ha (96 acres). On February 7, 1991, the record low temperature of −52.5 °C (−62.5 °F) was registered.

The Höch Turm is a mountain in the Schwyzer Alps, located in an elevation of 2,666 m (8,747 ft). It lies west of the resort village of Braunwald on the karstic range between the valleys of Muota and Linth.Administratively, the mountain lies in the municipality of Muotathal, in the canton of Schwyz.

The Schijen is a mountain of the Glarus Alps in Switzerland, located west of the Ortstock. The summit is the tripoint between the cantons of Schwyz, Uri and Glarus. The Schijen lies on the range that lies between the Glattalp and the Urner Boden.

The Ortstock is a mountain in the Schwyzer Alps, located at an elevation of 2,717 m (8,914 ft) on the border between the cantons of Schwyz and Glarus. It overlooks Braunwald and Linthal on its east side, while the west side overlooks the high valley of Glattalp.There are no glaciers surrounding the Ortstock, although a few névés can be found on its northern side. The north and south faces are very steep but experienced hikers can reach the summit via a trail on its less steep western flank. The mountain lies in the municipalities of Muotathal, in the canton of Schwyz, and Glarus Süd, in the canton of Glarus.

The Eggstock (2,455 m) is a mountain of the Schwyzer Alps, located on the border between the Swiss canton of Schwyz and canton of Glarus, north of Braunwald. It lies on the range east of the Bös Fulen, between the valley of Bösbächi and the cirque of Braunwald and is composed of three summits: the Hinterer Eggstock (2,455 m), the Mittlerer Eggstock (2,436 m) and the Vorderer Eggstock (2,449 m).

The Rüchigrat (2,657 m) is a mountain of the Schwyzer Alps, located west of Luchsingen in the canton of Glarus. It lies south of the Glärnisch, on the range between the valley of the Klöntalersee and the main Linth valley. The Rüchigrat consists of a two kilometres long ridge, which culminates at the summit named Bösbächistock.

The Urnerboden is a village in the high valley of Urner Boden, and also an alp and a small high Alpine permanent settlement in the Swiss canton of Uri. At 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) in length, it is believed to be the largest alp in Switzerland. It forms a disconnected part of the municipality of Spiringen, separated from the rump of that municipality by some 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) of the municipality of Unterschächen and by the Klausen Pass.The Urner Boden is traversed by the eastern approach road to the Klausen Pass to the west, from the village of Linthal in the canton of Glarus. The Klausen Pass provides the only direct connection to the rest of the municipality of Spiringen and canton of Uri that lie to the west of the pass. The pass road is normally closed between October and May, and during this period the Urner Boden is only accessible from the east via Linthal, involving a road journey between the two halves of the municipality of some 126 kilometres (78 mi).In summer, PostBus Switzerland operates a bus service which provides several daily return journeys to Linthal and Spiringen. Outside that period, a minibus service called the Urnerboden Sprinter provides three connections a day to Linthal.

Klöntalersee is a natural lake in the canton of Glarus, Switzerland and covers the major part of the Klöntal valley floor. Since 1908, it has been used as a reservoir for electricity production. The dam's construction substantially increased the lake's volume. Klöntalersee is drained by the Löntsch, a left tributary of the Linth.
