Organization for Collection and Sale of State-owned Properties of Iran (OCSSPI) (Persian: سازمان جمع آوری و فروش اموال تملیکی), founded in 2001, is affiliated to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran. Its main purpose is to focus all matters relating to the collection, storage, management and sale of properties that by law are under the ownership, possession, custody or management of the government of Iran.

The Ministry of Petroleum (MOP) (Persian: وزارت نفت, romanized: Vezârat-e Naft) manages the oil industry, the producer of oil and petrochemical products. MoP is in charge of all issues pertaining to exploration, extraction, exploitation, distribution and exportation of crude oil and oil products. In addition, according to the "Imports and Exports Regulation Act", issuing import licenses for such products is also among the functions of the Ministry of Petroleum. The ministry has been placed under sanctions by the United States Department of State as of 2020.According to BP, Iran's has 137.6 billion barrels (2.188×1010 m3) of proven oil reserves and 29.61 trillion cubic meters of proven gas reserves. Iran ranks third in the world in oil reserves and second in gas reserves. It is responsible for applying the principle of Iranian ownership and sovereignty over oil and gas reserves. Also, it is undertake the separation of sovereignty tasks from management and development of country's oil and gas industry. The Ministry of petroleum was established after revolution in Iran and in the interim government of Bazargan, after departure of Hasan Nazia, the managing director of National Iranian Oil Company from the country in 1979. The organizational structure of this ministry consists of a central headquarters and four subsidiaries, including National Iranian Oil Company, National Iranian Gas Company, National Iranian Petrochemical Company and National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company. It monitors the operations of exploration, extraction, marketing and sale of crude oil, natural gas and oil products in the country through its subsidiaries. In addition to meeting its major energy needs, the ministry supplies over 80% of foreign currency earnings by exporting crude oil and refined petroleum products. According to the Fourth Economic, Social and Cultural Development Plan, the Government has been required to transfer at least 10% of the activities related to the exploration, extraction and production of crude oil to the private sector, while in the meantime retaining its ownership of oil resources. This is also the case in other fields of the Ministry of Petroleum's activities.Iran plans to invest $500 billion in the oil sector until 2025. As of 2010, US$70 billion worth of oil and gas projects were under construction. Iran's annual oil and gas revenues were expected to reach $250 billion by 2015.

Tehran province (Persian: استان تهران Ostān-e Tehrān) is one of the 31 provinces of Iran. It covers an area of 18,814 square kilometres (7,264 sq mi) and is located to the north of the central plateau of Iran. At the time of the National Census of 2006, the province had a population of 13,281,858 in 3,729,010 households. The following census in 2011 counted 12,183,391 people in 3,731,480 households, by which time Karaj, Nazarabad, and Savojbolagh Counties had been separated from the province to become Alborz province. The province was made a part of the First Region with its secretariat located in Tehran, upon the division of the provinces into 5 regions, solely for coordination and development purposes on June 22, 2014. According to the latest census in 2016, the population of the province had increased to 13,267,637 in 4,288,563 households.Tehran province borders Mazandaran province in the north, Qom province in the south, Semnan province in the east, Alborz province in the west and Markazi province in the southwest. The metropolis of Tehran is the capital city of the province and of Iran. Tehran province is the richest in Iran, as it contributes approximately 29% of the country's gross domestic product (GDP). Furthermore, it houses approximately 18% of the country's population and is the most industrialized province in Iran, with nearly 94% of its residents living in the cities as of 2016.The province gained importance when Tehran was proclaimed the capital by the Qajar dynasty in 1778. Today, Tehran, with a population of 8 million, is ranked amongst the 40 most populous metropolitan cities of the world.

Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) (Persian: دانشگاه صنعتی امیرکبیر), also called the Tehran Polytechnic, is a public technological university located in Tehran, Iran. Founded in 1958, AUT is the oldest technical university established in Iran.It is referred to as the 'Mother of Engineering Universities'. Acceptance to the university is competitive, entrance to undergraduate and graduate programs requiring scoring among the top 1% of students in the Iranian University Entrance Exam, known as 'Konkour'. The university was founded in 1928 as a technical academy, and was further transformed into a full-fledged university by Habib Nafisi in 1956, after that it was extended and enlarged by Dr. Mohammad Ali Mojtahedi, during the Pahlavi dynasty. Named the Tehran Polytechnic, it initially offered five engineering degrees, namely; Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Textile, Chemistry and Construction and Infrastructure. Six months before the victory of 1979 Iranian Revolution, Tehran Polytechnic was renamed after the Iranian prime minister Amir Kabir (1807–1852). The university now has 18 science and engineering departments, dozens of research groups and laboratories and three other affiliated centers, located in Garmsar, Bandar Abbas and Mahshahr. Around 13,400 students are enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate programs. AUT has more than 500 full-time academic faculty members and 550 administrative employees, giving it the highest staff-to-student ratio among the country's universities. The executive branch consists of four departments which receive participation from councils in planning and administering affairs. AUT has signed agreements with international universities for research and educational collaboration. There is a joint program between AUT and the University of Birmingham.AUT is one of the leading universities in E-Learning systems in Iran which began its activities in 2004. AUT is the pioneer of sustainable development in Iran and established the Office of Sustainability in 2011. The activities of this office contribute to the AUT campus by reducing energy consumption, costs, and emissions, and also provide student coursework, volunteer opportunities for students, as well as research and education academic activities on sustainable development.

Shaheed Motahhari High School (Persian: دبیرستان شهید مطهری) is a college preparatory high school located in the heart of Tehran, Iran. It is named after the Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari Iranian scholar, cleric, University lecturer, and politician. University of Art (Persian: دانشگاه هنر, Daneshgah-e Honar), also known as Tehran University of Art, formally Art Academic Complex (1979-1991), is the largest art university in Iran, consisting of seven faculties and an international campus in Tehran and its suburb Karaj. It is composed of five former separate academic institutions: the Conservatory of Music (founded 1918), the College of National Music (founded 1949), the College of Decorative Arts (founded 1960), the College of Dramatic Arts (founded 1964), and Farabi University (founded 1975).

Abrishami Synagogue (Persian: كنيسهء ابريشمى Kanise ye Abrishami, Hebrew: בית הכנסת אברישמי) is a synagogue in Tehran, Iran. It was built in September 1965 in the upper-middle-class neighborhood of Kakh Shomali (currently N. Palestine Street). The land on which the synagogue-school compound was built was granted by the Iranian Jewish philanthropist, Aghajan Abrishami and is 1,025 square meters (approximately 11,040 square feet) in size. A foundation was originally created by the name of Tzedek Cultural Foundation whose mission was to oversee the building and operations of the Abrishami Synagogue-School Compound. The founding members of the foundation were: Aghajan Abrishami, Nasser Akhtarzad, David Berukhim, Menashe Purat, Benjamin Shaban, Mehdi Musazadeh, Habib Lavi, (Hacham) Abdollah Netan Eli and Musa Nassir. The compound consists of two floors. The first floor is a school and the second floor houses Abrishami Synagogue. The building was constructed in a modernist 1960s architectural style. Abrishami Synagogue serves as the social and cultural center of the Jewish community of Tehran and is administered directly by the Chief Rabbinate. The Chief Rabbi of Iran, Yousef Hamadani Cohen died March 29, 2014.

Alborz High School (Persian: دبیرستان ماندگار البرز) is a college-preparatory gifted high school located in the heart of Tehran, Iran. It is one of the first modern high schools in Asia and the Middle East, named after the Alborz mountain range, north of Tehran. Its place in the shaping of Iran's intellectual elite compares with that of Eton College in England and institutions such as Phillips Academy, Phillips Exeter Academy, and Milton Academy in the United States.

Teatr-e Shahr Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 4 and Line 3. It is located at the intersection of Enghelab Street and Valiasr Street near the location of Teatr-e Shahr, in Daneshjoo Park. The station was formerly known as Vali Asr Metro Station. However, its name was officially changed on February 2, 2016, in order to avoid confusions with the newer Meydan-e Vali Asr Metro Station.

Saint Sarkis Cathedral (Armenian: Սուրբ Սարգիս մայր տաճար, Surp Sarkis mayr tachar, (Persian: کلیسای سرکیس مقدس‎, Kâlysay Sirkes Miqedâs) is an Armenian Apostolic church in Tehran, Iran, completed in 1970 and named after Saint Sarkis the Warrior. It is the cathedral of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran, one of three Armenian dioceses in Iran, whose prelate is archbishop Sepuh Sargsyan.
