Lillingstone Lovell

Lillingstone Dayrell is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Lillingstone Dayrell with Luffield Abbey, in Buckinghamshire, England. It is about three and a half miles north of Buckingham, eight miles west of Milton Keynes and five miles south of Towcester. The village name 'Lillingstone' is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'Lytel's boundary stone', referring to the proximity of both places to the border with Northamptonshire. In the Domesday Book of 1086, both settlements were recorded jointly as Lillingestan though already at that time there were two manors owned respectively by the Dayrell and Lovell families. The suffix 'Dayrell' (as 'Dayerell') was first recorded in the fourteenth century. The Dayrell family were Lords of the Manor from the fourteenth century until the 1880s.

Whittlewood Forest is a former medieval hunting forest east of Silverstone in Northamptonshire in England. It is managed by the Forestry England. There are tracts of ancient woodland within it and old ditches can be found at the edges of several individual woods. The area has been the subject of extensive academic historical research. An area of 400 hectares (990 acres) in seven different patches has been designated a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), which is about half the size of an average English parish. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade 2.

Akeley is a village and civil parish in north-west Buckinghamshire, England. The village is on the A413 road, between Lillingstone Dayrell and Maids Moreton, and around 2.5 miles (4 km) north of Buckingham. The 2011 Census recorded the population of the parish as 514, down from 545 at the 2001 Census.

Foxcote Reservoir and Wood is a 48.3-hectare (119-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest between Akeley and Maids Moreton in Buckinghamshire. An area of 34 hectares is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.The reservoir was created in 1956 by damming a small tributary of the River Great Ouse, and is important for wintering wildfowl, especially shoveler ducks and Bewick's swans. The area around the reservoir has woodland, meadows and ponds. Plants include the greater butterfly orchid and the herb Paris quadrifolia.

St Mary's Church is a Grade I listed parish church in the Church of England in Kersey, Suffolk.

Akeley Wood School is a coeducational private primary and secondary school, with an attached sixth form near Buckingham. It is owned by Cognita, which is an independent schools company.The school accommodates pupils aged 12 months –18 years old albeit not on the same site – stretching efforts across three separate schools; the Junior School, Tile House Mansion and the Senior School – Akeley Wood. They have 1 mascot called Ted the turtle who was made in 2022 and was designed to include diversity. There are approximately 900 pupils across the three sites.

Maids Moreton is a village and civil parish in north-west Buckinghamshire, England, around 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Buckingham. The village sits on top of a plateau overlooking Buckingham and is less than 1km away from the Foxcote Reservoir SSSI.

Foscott (also called Foxcote and Foscote) is a hamlet and civil parish in north Buckinghamshire, England. At the 2011 Census the population of the hamlet was included in the civil parish of Thornton. In the 20th century a reservoir was built within Foscote, named Foxcote Reservoir. It is just to the north of Maids Moreton. The name was Anglo Saxon in origin, meaning "Fox cottage".

Lamport (occasionally also Langport) was a hamlet in the parish of Stowe in north Buckinghamshire, England. It was cleared by the Temple family, as a result of enclosures, after 1739, to improve the amenity value of their new park at Stowe. The hamlet's name is Old English, meaning long town.
