The Séminaire de Sherbrooke, also known as Séminaire Saint-Charles-Borromée, is a private educational institution located in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. Today, the Séminaire offers five years of secondary school and several college programs and continuing education.

The Sherbrooke Museum of Fine Arts (French: Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke) is an art museum in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. It is located at 241 Dufferin Street in downtown Sherbrooke. The museum receives funding from the City of Sherbrooke, the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications and from its members.

The Sherbrooke History Museum, Musée d’histoire de Sherbrooke (MHIST), is a museum and archives centre in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. It preserves, studies, and exhibits the history of Sherbrooke and the Eastern Townships.

Saint-Michel Basilica-Cathedral (French: Basilique-cathédrale Saint-Michel) is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and cathedral dedicated to St. Michael located in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. The church is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sherbrooke. The basilica was decreed on July 31, 1959. The lower-half of the cathedral was constructed from 1914 to 1917. A lack of funds resulted in a thirty-nine year pause in construction. The completion of the upper-half of the cathedral was in 1956 to 1957. The cathedral was designed by architect Louis-Napoleon Audet, in Gothic style. Mr Audet was the architect for both phases of construction. The large window of the façade depicts the four Evangelists. The Cathedral of St Michael has 105 stained-glass windows crafted by Rafaël Lardeur of Paris. The archbishop's chapel was painted by Ozias Leduc.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sherbrooke (Latin: Archidioecesis Sherbrookensis) is a Roman Catholic archdiocese that includes part of the civil province of Quebec and includes the suffragan dioceses of Nicolet and Saint-Hyacinthe. It is currently led by Luc Cyr. As of 2004, the archdiocese contains 107 parishes, 195 active diocesan priests, 107 religious priests, and 291,000 Catholics. It also has 1,012 women religious, 197 religious brothers, and 18 permanent deacons.

CFLX-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 95.5 FM in Sherbrooke, Quebec. The station airs a francophone community radio format for Sherbrooke and the Estrie region. More than 50% of its weekly programming is produced live. The callsign CFLX is made after the name of the very famous Quebec poet Félix Leclerc. The station is a member of the Association des radiodiffuseurs communautaires du Québec.

The Sherbrooke War Memorial is a cenotaph erected in 1926, on King Street, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, to commemorate Sherbrooke residents who fought in World War I. This piece of cultural heritage has become emblematic of the city of Sherbrooke, which counts it among its ten main "points of interest". The monument was designed by George William Hill, one of the foremost Canadian sculptors of the first half of the 20th century.

The Magog River, or Sekosonotek in Abenaki, is a river that drains Lake Memphremagog. It is a small river running through the territories of the cities of Magog and Sherbrooke, in the administrative region of Estrie, in Quebec, in Canada, along a southwest–northeast axis. Having its source in lake Memphremagog, it crosses lake Magog and empties into Saint-François River, in the city center of Sherbrooke. The cities of Sherbrooke and Magog, Quebec, lie on the Magog River. Engineers from the Université de Sherbrooke have constructed a plastic bridge on the river.

It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada and the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada). In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged.

Sherbrooke ( SHUR-bruuk; Quebec French pronunciation [ʃɛʁbʁʊk]) is a city in southern Quebec, Canada. It is at the confluence of the Saint-François and Magog rivers in the heart of the Estrie administrative region. Sherbrooke is also the name of a territory equivalent to a regional county municipality (TE) and census division (CD) of Quebec, coextensive with the city of Sherbrooke. The Sherbrooke Census Metropolitan Area had 227,398 inhabitants, making it the fourth largest metropolitan area in Quebec and 19th in Canada. Sherbrooke is the primary economic, political, cultural, and institutional centre of Estrie, and was known as the Queen of the Eastern Townships at the beginning of the 20th century. There are eight institutions educating 40,000 students and employing 11,000 people, 3,700 of whom are professors, teachers and researchers. The direct economic effect of these institutions exceeds one billion dollars. The proportion of university students is 10.32 students per 100 inhabitants, giving Sherbrooke the largest concentration of students in Quebec.Sherbrooke rose as a manufacturing centre in the 1800s, and today the service sector is prominent. The Sherbrooke region is surrounded by mountains, rivers, and lakes. There are several ski hills nearby and various tourist attractions in regional flavour. Mont-Bellevue Park, a large park in the city, is used for downhill skiing. The city was named in 1818 for John Coape Sherbrooke, a former Governor General of Canada.

The Cégep de Sherbrooke, formerly known as the Collège de Sherbrooke (1968-2005), is a public college located in the city of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. It was founded in 1968 during the aftermath of the Parent Commission, originally encompassing campuses in the towns of Sherbrooke, Thetford Mines and Granby. Initially occupying two campuses on each side of the city, the college was relocated entirely to its current location in 1975. In the following years, the school oversaw an expansion in its number of buildings (referred to internally as Pavillons) on and outside of its campus, consisting today of 7 on-campus buildings, a location in Val-des-Sources which offers certain basic classes and the CRIFA (Centre régional d’initiatives et de formation en agriculture), a partnered establishment that specializes in agricultural education, located in the nearby town of Coaticook.Today, approximately 6000 students attend the Cégep de Sherbrooke annually, making the Cégep de Sherbrooke the largest college in Quebec outside of Montreal. Students study in one of approximately 30 different programs in both pre-university and technical programs.
