Northwest Local School District (Stark County)

Canal Fulton is a city in western Stark County, Ohio, United States, along the Tuscarawas River. The population was 5,325 at the time of the 2020 census. It is part of the Canton–Massillon metropolitan area.

Northwest High School is a public high school in Lawrence Township, near Canal Fulton, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Northwest Local Schools district. Athletic teams are nicknamed the Indians and the school colors are red, white, and gray.

Lawrence Township is one of the seventeen townships of Stark County, Ohio, United States. The 2020 census found 13,548 people in the township.

WAKN-LP (analog channel 11) was a low-power television station in Akron, Ohio, United States. It was an affiliate of Jewelry Television, and also carried local programming. Despite its ownership being under the name of Ohio Public Television Corporation (itself based out of the derelict studio facilities of KUMY-LD in Beaumont, Texas), it was a for-profit enterprise and not a public television station, nor a non-commercial operation. WAKN had been noted as silent in Federal Communications Commission records since November 20, 2005, though when it did go silent is unknown. The license had apparently been rolled over with supposed periods of activity mainly with a test pattern and station identification, and had been renewed until October 2021. Despite the FCC adding a rule in 2014 precluding 'one day a year' operation of a station merely to keep a license activated to block new licensees who would operate a station as a going concern, there was no explanation for why WAKN-LP's license remained active for over sixteen years after being taken silent. In 2011, Cleveland CBS affiliate WOIO (channel 19) launched a digital fill-in translator on channel 10 within Akron on the same tower as WAKN-LP, which easily overwhelmed its occasional analog signal on channel 11. The station applied for a digital flash cut in February 2014, its last known FCC communication, which was immediately dismissed due to interference and short-spacing concerns with WPCW in the Pittsburgh market; WPCW broadcasts its digital signal on channel 11.The FCC canceled WAKN-LP's license on January 20, 2022.

Clinton is a village in southwestern Summit County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,197 at the 2020 Census. It is part of the Akron metropolitan area.

The Limbach Block refers to the retail center of the village of Clinton in Summit County, Ohio located on Main Street. The National Park Service listed the Limbach Block Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 2001. The anchor business of the Limbach Block was the Limbach Brothers Shoe Manufacturing Company owned by Martin, Adam, and Jacob Limbach. According to the 1880 U.S. Census Products of Industry, the Limbach Brothers business was worth $8,900 and produced $500 worth of shoes and boots, indicating it was the most valuable business in the village. In 1874, the Limbach Brothers, local shoemakers, acquired Lots 19 and 20 of Main Street. In 1875, county tax records indicate the Limbachs razed a structure on Lot 20 and in the summer of 1877 began construction on a three-story Block building on Lot 20 that would serve as their factory and retail outlet into the early 20th century. The Limbachs expanded their operation in 1899 when they acquired Lot 18 from Franklin Maranville, a tinsmith. In 1903, Martin Limbach et al incorporated the Clinton Savings Bank and housed the operation in a corner of the Limbach Shoe Store.

The Rock N Resort Music Festival was an annual, three-day music festival in mid-July hosted and produced by Clay's Park Resort in North Lawrence, Ohio, 50 miles (80 km) south of Cleveland. The festival showcased national recording artists, tribute bands, indie artists and solo performers on multiple stages, covering a variety of musical styles, though primarily reflecting a classic rock theme. Other events held during the festival included drum circles, campsite contests, new musical product demonstrations, educational seminars for young musicians, and charity events. Attendees say that aside from the music, the main draws of the festival are the party atmosphere and the friendships made by festival goers that met every year.

The Midwest Reggae Fest is a three-day reggae event held at Clay's Park Resort in North Lawrence, Ohio. It is an annual event and today the event has completed 33 years. The festival features three days of live reggae bands along with numerous food vendors, vendors of Caribbean fashions and accessories, camping, free canoeing, swimming, water rides, and various other outdoor activities and entertainment.There was no festival in 2020.

Ernest Angley's Online Bible College, formerly Grace Bible College, is an online Christian school operated by Ernest Angley Ministries. Grace Bible College was established circa 2005 in Springfield Township, Ohio, near Akron, in the converted facilities of the original Grace Cathedral church founded by Ernest Angley and his wife, Angel. The college was established to train international missionaries and ministers. As of 2010, the grounds included an administration building, dormitories, chapel, classrooms and student center, and in 2011 the church facility was named Grace Cathedral - Akron as another branch to the larger Grace Cathedral - Cuyahoga Falls.Ernest Angley's Online Bible College began online offerings in January 2011.The current location of Angley's main Grace Cathedral church is in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, at the former site of Rex Humbard's Cathedral of Tomorrow. The recently refurbished chapel building at 1055 Canton Road in Springfield Township, Ohio is used for church youth services on Saturday nights and is open to the public. It is also used by members of Grace Cathedral for special member ceremonies such as funeral services and weddings.

Manchester High School is a public high school located in New Franklin, Ohio about 12 miles south of Akron. It is part of the Manchester Local School District in the southwestern corner of Summit County, Ohio. The mascot of Manchester is the panther, usually depicted as a black panther, and the school colors are red and black. The principal of the school is Scott Ross. The school competes in the Pac-7 Conference.
