Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 7

Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church, is a historic African American Church located in Jessup, Maryland. The building was constructed in a predominantly African American community along Guilford Road, one of the "rolling roads" for hand-rolled barrel shipment of tobacco to market in Annapolis, Maryland. The site is associated with religious activities since 1860, in the final years of slavery in the newly formed Howard County. The wood-frame church has a later structure adjoined to serve as a schoolhouse. The church cemetery is situated to the North and West of the church. The graveyard boundaries were not formally defined, with several unmarked gravemounds surrounding the site. There are ten historical sites registered in the Maryland Historical Site Registry along the historical road within a mile of the church, but a reviewer commented there are "none along this segment of the road". The adjacent historic residences under pressure from development have had their construction dates removed from state tax records. The church has been reviewed and certified as being a significant example of architecture, ethnic history and religion. The Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 7 was built adjacent to the church in 1875.

Guilford Road is a historic road north of Savage, Maryland that traverses Anne Arundel and Howard Counties in an area that was first settled by English colonists in the mid-1600s. Today's Guilford road is a series of disconnected segments bisected multiple times by the construction of Maryland Route 32. The Christ Church Guilford was built along the road in 1701, tended by Reverend McGill who built Athol Manor along the road in 1740. Oak Hall was built by Richard Dorsey on the road near Christ Church in 1809 as a companion to the 1706 Waveland house built by Larkin Dorsey on the "New Year's Gift" tract. In 1860, the Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 7 was built along the road.

The Rorabaugh House is historic Romanesque house located on Guilford Road in Jessup, Maryland. The structure was built by William P. Cresson in period after Howard County was split off from Anne Arundel County and slavery was still practiced. Micheal Fitzsimmons purchased the property on 5 October 1863 for $4,600. The two story L-Shaped wood-framed house sat on property subdivided down to 4.5 acres. The adjoining lots and structures created for daughters of the heirs were destroyed to create Maryland Route 32.The house was once owned by Maryland Maryland House of Delegates and politician William C. Bevan. The house was raised between 1984 and 1988.

Freestate Raceway (originally Laurel Raceway from 1948 to 1979) was a horse racing track in Maryland. It opened in 1948 and closed in 1990.

Savage is an unincorporated community and census-designated place located in Howard County, Maryland, United States, approximately 18 miles (29 km) south of Baltimore and 21 miles (34 km) north of Washington, D.C. It is situated close to the city of Laurel and to the planned community of Columbia. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 7,542. The former mill town is a registered historic place, and has several original buildings preserved within and around the Savage Mill Historic District.

Guilford Park High School is a public high school located in Jessup, Maryland, United States. It is part of the Howard County Public School System. Its mascot is the panther..The school colors are green and blue The school opened August 2023. The school opened with 750 freshmen and sophomores with a total capacity of 1,658.

Savage is a passenger rail station on the MARC Camden Line between Union Station and Baltimore's Camden Station. It is officially located at 9009 Dorsey Run Road in Savage, Maryland, however Dorsey Run Road runs over the railroad tracks as well as Brock Bridge Road, which runs along the south side of the tracks and is a street-level with the station. The station straddles the line between Howard County and Anne Arundel County, with the southbound platform and parking garage located in Howard County and the northbound platform in Anne Arundel County. Savage station runs along the former Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's Capital Subdivision, which is now owned by CSX. It is also near the former Annapolis Junction which included a former Baltimore and Annapolis Railroad line.

Savage-Guilford was a census-designated place (CDP) in Howard County, Maryland, United States, for the 2000 U.S. Census, at which time its population was 12,918. It consisted of the unincorporated community communities of Savage and Guilford. At the 2010 U.S. Census, the area was re-delineated as the Savage CDP.

The Savage Mill Trail is a 0.8-mile (1.3 km) rail trail that winds along the Little Patuxent River in Savage, Maryland. The trail was formerly part of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's rail corridor through central Maryland, but the Howard County Recreation and Parks Department acquired the land in 1978.

The Bollman Truss Railroad Bridge across the Little Patuxent River at Savage, Maryland, is one of the oldest standing iron railroad bridges in the United States and the sole surviving example of a revolutionary design in the history of American bridge engineering. The 160-foot (48.8 m) double-span was built in 1852 at an unknown location on the main line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. It was moved 35 years later to its present location, where it replaced the very first Bollman bridge. Today, it carries the Savage Mill Trail. The Bollman design, a through truss bridge, was the first successful all-metal bridge design to be adopted and consistently used on a railroad. The type was named for its inventor, Wendel Bollman, a self-educated Baltimore civil engineer. Bollman formed two companies in Baltimore, the W. Bollman and Company and the Patapsco Bridge Company, to market the bridge in North and South America. In 1966, the American Society of Civil Engineers designated the bridge as the first National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 18, 1972, and was designated a National Historic Landmark on February 16, 2000.
