Sage Creek High School

Rancho Agua Hedionda was a 13,311-acre (53.87 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day San Diego County, California given in 1842 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Juan María Marrón. The name means "stinking water" in Spanish. The grant extended south along the Pacific Coast from present day Carlsbad to Leucadia. The grant surrounded Agua Hedionda Lagoon.

Cerro de la Calavera (also known as Mount Calavera) is an 513 ft (156 m) ancient plug dome volcano that last erupted 22 million years ago during the subduction of the Farallon Plate. It is located within the city of Carlsbad, California in the United States. Cerro de la Calavera is only one of three volcanic plugs in Southern California and can easily be seen from either northbound Interstate 5 at Cannon Road or westbound on Lake Boulevard. Cerro de la Calavera is located within the Lake Calavera Preserve offering county maintained trails that lead directly into the ancient volcano, making for great hiking adventures. Lake Calavera and the dam that holds it lie in the shadow of the mountain.

Tri-City Medical Center (Tri-City or TCMC), founded in 1961, is a full-service, acute-care public hospital in Oceanside, California. Located 40 miles north of San Diego, Tri-City serves three major cities in the North County section of San Diego County: Oceanside, Vista, and Carlsbad. McClellan–Palomar Airport (Palomar Airport) (IATA: CLD, ICAO: KCRQ, FAA LID: CRQ) is a public airport three miles (5 km) southeast of Carlsbad in San Diego County, California. It is owned by the County of San Diego. The airport is used for both general aviation and commercial aviation. As of March 2013, the airport was the fourth-busiest single runway airport in the United States. Most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but McClellan–Palomar Airport is CRQ to the FAA and CLD to the IATA. The ICAO identifier is KCRQ.The airport is named for Gerald McClellan, an aviator and civic leader in San Diego's North County area.The airport was the basis of part of the name of the TV production company Lorimar Television.

Tri-City Christian School is a private Christian school located in Vista, California. Founded in 1971, the school serves approximately 650 students, from preschool through high school, with the mission of "training up spiritual champions for Jesus Christ." Rancho Buena Vista High School or "RBV" is a California Distinguished School and International Baccalaureate Organization World School, located in Vista, California. In the 1990–1991 and 1994–1995 school years Rancho Buena Vista High School was awarded the Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence by the United States Department of Education, the highest award an American school can receive. It has a 7/10 GreatSchools rating and a 90% 4-year graduation rate.

Legoland California Resort is a theme park, miniature park, and aquarium located in Carlsbad, California, based on the Lego toy brand. Opening on March 20, 1999, it was the first Legoland park to open outside of Europe. The park is currently owned by Merlin Entertainments, which took a controlling interest in 2005. The second park in the United States was in Florida, which opened in 2011. A third park, Legoland New York, opened in May 2021.

Carlsbad High School is a public high school in Carlsbad, California. As an aftermath of World War II and the subsequent baby boom, Carlsbad's population skyrocketed and there became a sudden need for more schools. In 1955, voters in Oceanside and Carlsbad voted and approved a $1.26 million dollar construction bond that funded the building of Carlsbad's first public high school. Carlsbad High School first opened in 1957 and the high school underwent major redevelopment from 2009 to 2012. In 2010, the API index for the school was 812. Before construction of the high school, most students in Carlsbad went to the combined Oceanside Carlsbad High School, which was founded in 1908. In December 2001, the band No Doubt played a surprise concert at the high school as the first episode of the MTV show "Jammed." Students were not told of the concert until they were dismissed from class for the day. MTV staff worked with school administrators and staff to facilitate the concert between the football field and gymnasium. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger visited the high school on August 11, 2006 to announce his plans for the future of funding and education in California's schools. On February 19, 2016, the band Echosmith played a concert for the school as part of the State Farm #Drive2N2 campaign. The school won the concert as a result of a safe driving video submitted by the broadcasting department to the contest. The broadcasting department received a $100,000 grant for winning.

The Agua Hedionda Lagoon ("agua hedionda" means "fetid water" in Spanish) is a lagoon in Carlsbad, California, that is fed by the Agua Hedionda Creek. Stewardship of much of the lagoon is held by the Encina Power Station and its owner NRG Energy. In November 2000 the Agua Hedionda Lagoon was designated as a critical habitat for the tidewater goby.

College Boulevard station is a station in Oceanside, California that is served by North County Transit District's Sprinter hybrid rail line. The station is located at 41031⁄2 Oceanside Boulevard.
