Municipality of Jezersko

Spodnje Jezersko (pronounced [ˈspoːdnjɛ jɛˈzɛːɾskɔ] ; literally, 'Lower Jezersko') is a settlement in the Municipality of Jezersko in Slovenia. It is part of the traditional region of Carinthia and the Upper Carniola Statistical Region.

Kočna at 2,540 metres (8,330 ft) high, is the second-highest mountain in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps and the westernmost peak of the Grintovec Range (Slovene: Grintovci). Its prominent and easily recognized peak is visible from far around. The mountain has two peaks: the higher Jezersko Kočna (Jezerska Kočna, 2,540 metres or 8,330 feet) and the nearby lower Kokra Kočna (Slovene: Kokrska Kočna, 2,520 metres or 8,270 feet).

The Czech Lodge at Spodnje Ravni (Slovene: Češka koča na Spodnjih Ravneh; 1,542 meters or 5,059 feet) is a mountain hostel that stands on the Spodnje Ravni Cirque above the Ravne Combe (Ravenska kočna) below the northern part of Mount Grintovec and the Long Ridge (Dolgi hrbet). It is named after the Czechs from Prague who built it in 1900. In the 1970s, it was renovated, but the Czech architectural style remained. It is managed by the Jezersko Mountaineering Club (PD Jezersko). Its groundskeeper was for 40 years Andrej Karničar, then for 10 ten years Tone Karničar, and since July 2015 Karmen Karničar.

The Kamnik–Savinja Alps (Slovene: Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe) are a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps. They lie in northern Slovenia, except for the northernmost part, which lies in Austria. The western part of the range was named the Kamnik Alps (German: Steiner Alpen) in 1778 by the scientists Belsazar Hacquet and Franz Xaver von Wulfen, after the town of Kamnik (Stein) in the valley of the Kamnik Bistrica River. Its eastern part was named the Savinja Alps (Sanntaler Alpen) or Solčava Alps (Sulzbacher Alpen) by the mountaineer Johannes von Frischauf in 1875, after the settlement of Solčava (Sulzbach) and the main river, the upper Savinja (Sann).

The Carinthian–Slovenian Alps (Slovene: Koroško–Slovenske Alpe; German: Kärntnerisch–Slowenische Alpen) are a mountain range in the eastern part of the Alps. They are located in Slovenia, Austria and, for a very small area in westernmost part of the range, in Italy.

Grintovec (or Styrian Triglav) is the highest mountain of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, with an elevation of 2,558 metres (8,392 ft). It is a popular location for hiking, climbing and skiing. The first recorded ascent was in 1759 by the botanist Giovanni Antonio Scopoli. Grintovec has a prominence of 1,706 metres (5,597 ft) and is therefore an ultra. It is the second most prominent peak in Slovenia after Triglav. It is relatively easy to climb if you start from the lodge in the Kamnik Bistrica Valley, via the Zois Lodge at Kokra Saddle.

Kokra (pronounced [ˈkoːkɾa]; German: Kanker) is a settlement scattered along a 10-kilometer (6.2 mi) stretch of the road from Kranj to Jezersko Peak in the Kokra Valley in the Municipality of Preddvor in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

Skuta Glacier (Slovenian: Ledenik pod Skuto), located beneath mountain Skuta in Kamnik-Savinja Alps in Slovenia is the most south-eastern glacier in the Alps.

The Zois Lodge at Kokra Saddle (Slovene: Cojzova koča na Kokrskem sedlu; 1,793 meters or 5,883 feet) is a mountain hostel that stands on Kokra Saddle (Kokrsko sedlo), part of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. It is named after the brothers Karl Zois (1756–1799), and Sigmund Zois (1747–1819). The first lodge was built from wood in 1897 by the Austrian hiking club. After World War I it had to be rebuilt. In 1966, it was expanded and connected via a ropeway conveyor to Konec in the Kamnik Bistrica Valley. The lodge operates from the start of June through the middle of October. The lodge offers Slovenian drinks, such as Cockta, and traditional dishes such as bujta repa.

Carinthia Mount Rinka (Slovene: Koroška Rinka) or the Cross (Križ), with an elevation of 2,433 metres (7,982 ft), is a mountain in the central Kamnik–Savinja Alps in northern Slovenia. It is connected via a pass with Carniola Mount Rinka (Kranjska Rinka, 2,453 m or 8,048 ft), the northern ridge descends to the Jezersko Pass and the Savinja Pass, whereas the western ridge with Styria Mount Rinka (Štajerska Rinka, 2,374 m or 7,789 ft) ends with the Turski Žleb Ravine. There is also the fourth Rinka, called Little Mount Rinka (Mala Rinka; 2,289 m or 7,510 ft). The names of the mountains reflect their positions at the border between the traditional Slovene regions of Carinthia, Carniola, and Styria.

The Kalce Ridge (Slovene: Kalški greben) is a 2,224-metre-high (7,297 ft) mountain of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps in northern Slovenia. It is the highest peak of the Krvavec Group.

The Karawanks or Karavankas or Karavanks (Slovene: Karavanke; German: Karawanken, German pronunciation: [kaʁaˈvaŋkŋ̍] ) are a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps on the border between Slovenia to the south and Austria to the north. With a total length of 120 kilometres (75 mi) in an east–west direction, the Karawanks chain is one of the longest ranges in Europe. It is traversed by important trade routes and has a great tourist significance. Geographically and geologically, it is divided into the higher Western Karawanks and the lower-lying Eastern Karawanks. It is traversed by the Periadriatic Seam, separating the Apulian tectonic plate from the Eurasian Plate. Near the summit of the Dreiländereck (1,508 m) is the tripoint of the three countries> Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
