Palm Canyon Wash is an arroyo and tributary ephemeral stream or wash of the Whitewater River, in Riverside County, California. Palm Canyon Wash runs southward from Bull Canyon then north down Palm Canyon then east to its confluence with the Whitewater River at an elevation of 322 feet / 98 meters. Its source is at 33°36′47″N 116°33′23″W, at an elevation of 6,165 feet, at the head of Bull Canyon on the southern western slope of a ridge in the San Jacinto Mountains. The waters of Palm Canyon Wash are augmented by Bull Canyon Spring at 33°35′22″N 116°33′24″W, at an elevation of 5,331 feet / 1,625 meters. There the mouth of an unnamed creek flows north down from Vandeventer Flat into the head of Palm Canyon at its confluence with the creek of Palm Canyon Wash where it is flowing out of Bull Canyon at 33°34′08″N 116°31′43″W at an elevation of 4,460 feet. The creek or arroyo then runs northward in Palm Canyon to 33°44′59″N 116°32′08″W were the wash begins.

The Palm Springs Unified School District, or PSUSD, is one of three public education governing bodies in the Coachella Valley desert region of Southern California. PSUSD governs the western half of the valley; the Coachella Valley Unified School District and Desert Sands Unified School District oversee communities in the eastern half. Administrative offices are located in Palm Springs. The PSUSD was established in 1958 from the Palm Springs Public Schools, later included Palm Springs High School in the 1960s.

The Elrod House is a residence in Palm Springs, California designed by American architect John Lautner and constructed in 1968. It is located on the edge of a hill at 2175 Southridge Drive in Palm Springs, California. The construction of the house was ordered by Arthur Elrod, the interior designer. One of Lautner's many houses in Southridge and Palm Springs as a whole, the Elrod House is one of his most famous structures and an example of his so-called free architecture, where architecture and nature are combined. When the house was built, the soil was excavated but the rocks were kept in place. These rocks are part of the interior of the house and run straight through the walls and windows.Its best-known feature is the large circular concrete canopy above the main living area with a circular glass design. The living room incorporates large rocks and opens onto an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace that offers a view of Palm Springs and the San Jacinto Peak.

The Hope Residence is a house at 2466 Southridge Drive in Palm Springs, California. It is 23,600 sq ft (2,190 m2) in size. The house was built for the American entertainers Bob and Dolores Hope and completed in 1979. The house is noted for its large undulating triangular roof, with a large central light shaft.

KWXY (1340 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Cathedral City, California, and serving the Palm Springs radio market in the Coachella Valley. The station was founded in 1964 and is owned by Louie Comella, through licensee IVOX RADIO LLC. Studios, offices and the transmitter are on Dinah Shore Drive.Programming is simulcast on 99-watt FM translator station K222DA at 92.3 MHz.

Palm Springs International Airport (IATA: PSP, ICAO: KPSP, FAA LID: PSP), formerly Palm Springs Municipal Airport, is an airport two miles (3 km) east of downtown Palm Springs, California, United States. The airport covers 940 acres (380 ha) and has two runways. The facility operates year-round, with most flights occurring in the fall, winter, and spring. The airport was named as number 3 in a 2011 list of "America's Most Stress-Free Airports" by Smarter Travel.

Palm Springs Unified School District Educational Administrative Center is a historic building located in Palm Springs, California. The building is a fine example of the short span of time that master architect E. Stewart Williams used the International Style of architecture for educational buildings in the early 1960s. It features a flat roof, deep overhangs, steel-frame construction, and large glass surfaces. After the mid-1960s Williams employed New Brutalism for educational structures. The building is located on the campus of Palm Springs High School. Its original lawn has been replaced by drought resistant desert landscaping. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The Palm Springs Air Museum (PSAM), is a non-profit educational institution in Palm Springs, Riverside County, California. The Museum's mission is to exhibit, educate and eternalize the role of the World War II combat aircraft and the role the pilots and American citizens had in winning the war. In addition to flying aircraft, related artifacts, artwork, and library sources are used to perpetuate American history. It contains one of the world's largest collections of flying World War II warplanes, many of which were built in Southern California. Many of these aircraft have been used by motion picture companies in movies set during the second world war. Located on the north-east side of the Palm Springs International Airport, the Air Museum is housed in a new structure that includes three main display hangars, theater, gift shop, ramp and airport access for flight demonstrations and visiting planes, research library, simulator and education center. Palm Springs High School is a public high school for grades 9 through 12 located in Palm Springs, California as part of the Palm Springs Unified School District. It was built in 1938 in an effort led by city pioneer Nellie Coffman.

Cathedral City, colloquially known as "Cat City", is a desert resort city in Riverside County, California, United States, within the Colorado Desert's Coachella Valley. Situated between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage, the city has the second largest population, after Indio, of the nine cities in the Coachella Valley. Its population was 51,493 at the 2020 census, a slight increase from 51,200 at the 2010 census. Prior to the arrival of European explorers and settlers, the land was part of the territory inhabited by the Cahuilla Indians. Today every other square mile of the city is part of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians reservation land. Development of a town began when a housing subdivision was built in 1925, although it was not incorporated until 1981.

Palm Springs Stadium is a stadium in Palm Springs, California. It is primarily used for baseball. It used to be named Angels Stadium and was the home field of the Palm Springs Suns of the Western Baseball League in 1995 and 1996. Palm Springs Stadium is the home of the Palm Springs Power, of the collegiate summer Palm Springs Collegiate League. In 2018 and 2019, the stadium is the official home of the Palm Springs Collegiate League and the California Winter League (2010), also shared with Palm Springs High School baseball field. The stadium has a seating capacity of 5,185.

The Koerner House is a historic building located in Palm Springs, California. The house was designed in 1955 for the Vancouver-based couple of Leon Koerner and Thea Koerner. The house is a fine example of the residences that master architect E. Stewart Williams designed between 1947 and the end of the 1960s. The single-story structure features a shed roof, deep overhangs, and large glass surface areas with sliding glass doors that facilitate its indoor-outdoor flow. He also integrated natural wood that was utilized for its post-and-beam construction, board-and-batten cladding, interior cabinets, closets and built-in furniture. The landscaping was designed by Eckbo, Royston and Williams. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
